This unusual and exotic house is opposite a park and is comprised of two pavilions facing into an internal courtyard, canopied by a 15-metre Chinese Tree of Heaven.
The front pavilion is a three-story, glass tower. The top floor contains a bedroom with a queen-size bed and television. The second level houses a bathroom and second bedroom with queen-size bed. The ground level of the front pavilion comprises a study containing sofa bed, telephone/fax and wireless broadband.
There is a walkway crossing above the courtyard from the second level leading to a sundeck and the second pavilion. Stairs lead down into an open, living room and dining area with polished, timber floors, stereo, cable lcd television, VCR, and DVD player. This area can be heated by the gas fireplace. The fully-appointed kitchen (Bosch dishwasher and microwave) and laundry (Miele washing machine and Fisher Paykel dryer) are adjacent to this space. There is a toilet off the laundry. The living area looks into the internal courtyard.
The property is peaceful and filled with sunlight.

The house is within walking distance of the city and is an exceptional location for those interested in unique cuisine.
This is my home and I rent it out while I am working overseas or interstate.

It is a beautiful house to stay in because of the unique light and the quality of peace created by the Chinese Tree of Heaven. A true oasis.
Around the corner is the dynamic and hip Crown Street filled with life, people and great shopping. You are only five minutes from the city and fifteen minutes away from access to all the main holiday attractions and yet it feels as though you are in the country.

Very cozy and welcoming home in Surry Hills. Loved the fresh flowers and bowls of fresh fruit to welcome us. The neighborhood is great and full of very nice restaurants. Bus stop only a few steps away from the house takes you to Circular Quay, Botanic Gardens, Ferries.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with teenagers.

My husband and I stayed here with another couple for a week, and we couldn't have asked for more! The house is lovely and in a very desirable location . . . we were able to walk to downtown Sydney with ease, and the Surry Hills neighborhood is full of great shops and restaurants if you want to stay closer to home. The house is well maintained and had everything we needed for our stay. Lindy was very helpful and easy to deal with. I would highly recommend this rental . . . if we ever visit Sydney again, you can bet we would book this place!

An inviting home-away-from-home that looks just like the picture! We enjoyed watching the birds from our outdoor patio, while just half a block away were all the amenities of the city - groceries, good restaurants, taxis and buses at our beck and call. We loved walking the neighborhood as well - with its shaded streets and not-too-hectic thoroughfares. If we come again, we know where we'll stay.

My family was in Sydney for a week and this place was great!! It was extremely clean, organized, plenty of room for the 4 of us. The owner made sure we felt at home! It is a uniquely laid out townhouse with everything you could possibly need! The location is great (a bit noisy at night though) because you are right in the heart of Surry Hills. It is only about a 10 minute walk to Central Station and you can take the bus to/from there if you choose. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!

Our family of 4 stayed here in June 2009 and had a great experience. Wonderful location, great neighborhood, and a great place to come home after a day out and about. Easy access to all of Sydney and we would stay there again. Lindy was wonderful to work with for our first VRBO experience, but certainly not our last.

My wife and I enjoyed a month here earlier this year. Location could not be better -- close to transportation, great restaurants and lively neighborhoods. Unusual and fun house with spiral staircase, outdoor atrium and very bright throughout. Enjoyed our stay.

We spent the first week of our honeymoon here and had a great time. The location is fantastic - Surry Hills is a vibrant neighborhood in a beautiful city. It's close to public transport, but we actually walked to downtown most of the time. The apartment was a little funkier than we anticipated and seemed to be in need of some minor repairs, but nevertheless we were comfortable.

We enjoyed out stay at 45 Collins St. We had a wonderful vacation and loved the location. It was nice to live in a suburb type that was very accessable to the city and everywhere we wanted to go. Very fun house to stay in.
