My family and I stayed at P&B in January 2012. Our accomodations were spacious and comfortable. The area is beautiful and a short drive to some great downhill and cross country skiing. Rates are reasonable and everything you need is there. We will likely be back.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1971
About the owner: Pine and Birch is a retreat property that was our homestead growing up so to keep it in the family when our folks passed away in 1998 we converted all the units to weekly and weekend rentals.
Why the Owner Chose Wakefield:
If you want to experience Canada's capital city during the day but stay in the country at night our facility offers a perfect get away. With our own private lake and lots of trails, kids and parents alike will stay occupied in a relaxing atmosphere.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our property is a unique family reunion destination; When you are on-site ask us about a 'RUNNING OF THE HORSES'. This display is a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness a small herd of horses putting on a show...the bigger the crowd the more they show off.
