I rented this property not knowing who or when it would be used as I had out-of-town guests coming for my daughter's wedding in Whiteville. The house became a home away from home for many of us; an oasis away from the hustle and bustle. The house was very clean and everything worked. Though I was a little concerned about the lack of Internet access and cable TV, it didn't really matter because all of my friends that were staying at other houses on the lake came to 'our house' because it was right on the water.Though we came from all over the country we are considering making this the gathering place for an annual mother and daughter get together. The food at the local seafood restaurant was excellent and Myrtle beach is close enough for a day trip and if you stay at Lake Waccamaw, you will be able to afford the other things.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, people with disabilities.
