Great stay

We stayed for 3 nights right before Thanksgiving. The owner, Bob, was easy to get a hold of when we were arranging the trip and when we were there. He was helpful and kind without being intrusive. He also returned our deposit quickly. The place is as pictured. Really nice balcony with fabulous views of the ocean. Never having been to Fernandina Beach before, we were pleased with how easy it was to get to from the airport. The beach is wide and great for walking or biking. If you are up for a really long walk, you can walk on the beach from the place to the state park, finding shells and sharks teeth along the way. The property has convenient parking, an elevator, and outdoor faucets to wash off the sane, making it easier to keep the place clean. Our first night there we were exhausted and had some good pizza delivered from Townie's. We found the Publix to be the nicest grocery store there. and we found a great bakery called The Pecan Roll. We also got great local seafood at a place in town by the marina.

Absolutely perfect beach condo

My family and I just got back from staying in this condo on Fernandina Beach and it was perfect in every way for families with small children or any age for that matter. The condo is right on the water and sitting on the giant porch overlooking the ocean it feels like you can actually touch the water. My 5 year old son and I would wake up every morning promptly at 6 a.m. to watch for dolphins which we did see and watch the most beautiful sunrises I have ever seen. Also in the morning during low tide the ocean would make these tide pools which were perfect for the kids to play in and to hunt for shells which we found about a million. Bob and every single person we met and talked to on the beach were so friendly and helpful with information about the area. If you are looking for a fantastic place to stay look no further this is the place and we can't wait to come back next year or sooner if we can!

We had everything we wanted. Well supplied kitchen, plenty of linens, ample amount of starter supplies. He also had beach chairs, towels & toys. We arrived late so the owner had a key box on the door so we could go right in. The view was breathtaking, the beach quiet, and the sunrise memorable. At high tide, I honestly believe my husband could have thrown a rock from the balcony and hit the water. My 76 year old mother went with us and loved it. The elevator was near the door and we parked very close to it. The owner was very prompt with email and phone responses throughout the whole process and personally came by to check on us. Also our security deposit was returned quickly. I could not have asked for anything more. We are looking forward to returning.

Made for a Wonderful Vacation!

Just as the description says, "You can almost touch the ocean." What a wonderful way to wake up each morning. Having coffee on the balcony and watching the pelicans each day was a delight. Mr. Withrow is a wonderful person to work with and we look forward to returning to the condo. The beach was never crowded and the entire building was very quiet. We took a bike ride to the Fort. I have never seen so many armadillos! Thank you so much Bob and Diane ! We look forward to returning.

Best Florida vacation ever

You can stop your search for a place to stay. This is such a nice property. My wife and two kids had the best time here. On the beach, places to eat and shop within a few minute drive. Easy parking when you get to where you want to go. The condo is very nice and clean. Everything works perfectly. The view from the large balcony is awesome and you will enjoy morning or evening drinks there. Owner is so nice and lots of help. Everyone that was at the complex was also mature and nice. The beach in front of the complex is great and not crowded, just walk out and enjoy the day. One thing, dont leave anything on the beach overnight (volleyball net) it will be taken down by I guess the city and removed. I hope someone enjoys the net. The beach is perfectly clean and I know why now. Eat at sliders (south of the complex about 1 mile kid friendly even with a playground). Play mini golf with the kids in the morning at the waterfall place on Sadler?? Lots of fun, just go in the morning. We will send all of our friends here, not only to Amelis Island, but to Bob and Diane. Thanks again. Everything was great for the perfect get away.

Clean, Cute, and Comfortable!

Our recent week-long stay at Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach was one of the best we've ever had thanks in large part to our stay in this condo. The unit was extremely clean and well-maintained, and even nicer than the pictures indicated. The owners were wonderful, helpful, real people! Watching the sunrise from bed each morning was priceless. They weren't kidding when they said "You Can Almost Touch the Ocean." This area of the beach was not ever crowded, and the beach access from the room was very convenient. The balcony was large and comfortable and the view from the room was outstanding. We would recommend this property highly to anyone.

I just got back from staying at this condo with my family and to say that it was wonderful was an understatement! When we walked in, the view of the ocean was right there in front of us and the place was so homey and comfortable. The beds allowed for a great night of sleep and we spent many times, while the kids were napping or watching a movie, out on the extremely roomy balcony watching the waves crash and observing the different colors of the ocean that day. Most of the time the water had patterns of green and darker blue areas that were gorgeous! The sunrises were beautiful and the nights were even more amazing with the reflection of the moon on the water. It is a very peaceful and quiet part of Fernandina Beach so we never felt crowded or bothered by anyone. The water is literally right in front of you! The drive to places around the area were never too far. The owner recommended several wonderful restaurants around the area which we really enjoyed and he even remembered to leave us a thoughtful gift for our 10 year anniversary that we celebrated while we were there. Thank you so much for the opportunity to revisit the vacation spot where I used to travel to when I was a kid! It really hasn't changed that much and the accommodations were awesome! We will definitely stay there again!

Property 253502 Perfect

Our vacation was perfect as was our condominium. Everything was new, clean and all one needs for the stay. The photos did not completely reflect the appearance and amenities. There was much more to enjoy. The property was very well maintained. This was the best condo of the 12. Not excepting dogs was a plus for us. The owners were very helpful but not intrusive on our privacy. Very nice people. We liked renting from the owner. We have already recommended this property to friends. Amelia Island is a perfect vaction spot.

What could be better than great food, great people, and great ocean access? This condo is within a short distance to all of these. World class chefs featuring various cuisines for a reasonable price are many. I ate in the condo alot so strayed to two of the on-island grocery stores, both with great offerings and prices. The condo was as described and was clean. It offered everything we needed for my stay, including a coffee pot for that 1st cup of coffee in the morning watching the sun rise over the ocean. Great condo, great people, great island, all at a great price. Thanks Bob!

What a Surprise!

Date of Stay: 06/28/09 Review Submitted: 05/06/10

We were pleasantly shocked when we rented this condo, not only is it beautifully furnished, the view of the beach is amazing. Just steps away. If you having lunch on the patio, you still feel like you’re on the beach and you can see your loved ones. My favorite part was getting my coffee each morning and sitting on the patio watching the dolphins roll past. What a way to start the day! Another great benefit to this condo is it's proximity to Cumberland Island. Just minutes away we were able to catch the ferry, explore the island, and catch the evening ferry back. The perfect day trip. Also, the owners recommended an outstanding pizza place that we never would have noticed. Just a walk down the beach brought us to this restaurant and bar that had live music and the locals sure could cut a rug. It was so nice to go out to eat without having to get dressed up and drive somewhere. This condo is perfect for a family of four or a romantic getaway for two. It's clean and the mattresses are wonderful, not soft and saggy like most rentals. We can't wait to go back again this year.
