Had a great time there. Unit is modern, well kept and presented. Very comfortable and well located. booking process was very easy and Oliver (who met us and was there when we left) was most helpful. We would definitely stay there again. Photos in VRBO reflect very well this unit. Everything is close - restaurants, market, patisserie, Metro, river..... Loved it and wish we were still there. No complaints at all.

Everything is wonderful about this apartment and I had such a perfect stay. It was easy to reserve, then when I arrived 2 nice gents let me in, made sure I had everything I needed, took payment, and then returned deposit when I left. Seamless. The apartment is very well appointed and has everything you need for comfort and function. The bed is comfortable, linens are good, the towel warmer is incredible and it was always warm inside the apartment even though snowing during my stay. The neighborhood is beautiful and practical with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and walking distance to where you want to be. I look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Paris. Thank you Serge!

My husband and I brought our two boys(ages 13 and 10) to visit Paris for the first time. We wanted something a little more personal than a hotel. Having never stayed in this part of town before, Le Marais is now my favorite. Centrally located yet off the beaten tourist track with many good restaurants and reasonable prices. The apartment was exactly as stated. Clean and comfortable with a nice kitchen. We loved having the free phone to call friends and family back home. A nice touch. Serge is kind enough to book partial weeks as well. Something that is hard to find on VRBO. The whole process of booking was very simple with no extra charges to worry about. Thank goodness for email and paypal!!! We would definitely come and stay here again!

Our apartment was as advertised. The position of the apartment was great, close to everything you need to enjoy your stay. We were given some great recommendations on local places to eat and we had some enjoyable meals on the rue de rosier, we were also made to feel very welcome. Lively local nightlife around the weekend which may suit younger people. Paris is just gorgeous.

My sister-in-law, 5-year old niece and I stayed here for four days. It was wonderful. I kept thinking it was too good to be true! The property management reps (two young men) met us at the apartment on schedule. Carried our bags upstairs, gave us recommendations about markets, restaurants, etc. while I kept trying to speak French ... they spoke English. They were so pleasant and helpful. We asked about tipping ettiquette and they said none was necessary. We do think they deserve tips. The apartment is within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see and we discovered a river taxi for the times my sister-in-law and niece didn't want to walk. You can buy passes so you can ride unlimited trips per day. A friend is visiting in October and I'm recommending this apartment to her. We felt like we were part of the neighborhood within 8 hours. We found our market, bakery, restaurants, bars, an internet cafe around the corner, ATM -- everything we needed within two blocks. They leave a booklet of instructions so if you can't figure out how to work the TV or washing machine, all you have to do is look at the booklet. I really did feel like one of the neighbors. On the first morning, I think I met one of the building's tenants. She was an elderly lady checking her mail. We said "Bonjour" and I tried to explain we were visitors from the US. She said, "Je ne comprend pas." Probably because my French isn't so great. But then on the last day, I saw her again and she greeted me like I was an old friend -- a permanent resident. The only thing that might bother some folks is that young people party and laugh until 2 or 3 in the morning and the week we were there, there was a lot of construction, street cleaning and garbage collection that started about 6 a.m. I was sleeping on the comfortable fold-out sofa and closed the windows so I didn't really hear it. My sis-in-law was in the bedroom and kept the windows open so she heard it but wasn't really bothered by it. It was "happy" noise as someone else described it. The photos really are pretty accurate -- in some ways, I think the apartment might be more comfortable than the photos show. The coffee press works great. The refrigerator and the microwave were all we needed to get by for four days. We were a little challenged with the door keys but by the end of day two (with niece's help), we had them figured out. Our next stop was a hotel room in London. I'd take the apartment over the hotel room any day!

Dear Serge, I wrote a review, twice, but VRBO didn't like it both times and rejected it. We loved staying at your apartment on Rue des ecouffes. The location was perfect, the apartment suited our family well, both of the gentlemen who greeted us were kind and generous with their time. I would rent it again if and when I return. Thank you, Ross

The thing I love about apartment rentals is that you feel like a local and not so much like a tourist. This charming flat is located on a narrow street among businesses that locals frequent. You walk into a hallway that houses a picturesque courtyard at the end, as other residents bustle by on their way to their own flats. You could tell the property has history with the exposed beams as you walk up to the third floor, and an antique key to open the door. Yes it was on the third floor, but the property managers were eager to help with the luggage. The place was roomy enough for three, although a fourth would be a squeeze! I did stay on the convertible couch, and it was comfortable enough for not being my own bed. All the tourist sites are walking distance or a short hop on the Metro! Everyone was polite and wonderful to deal with, and I have no complaints. I hope to stay here again if I find myself in Paris in the future!

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for our first trip to Paris. It is in an excellent location, accessible to the metro and many beautiful sites. We took advantage of being able to come "home" several times during the day to rest, which gave us more energy to enjoy Paris. We loved the neighborhood and even met some neighbors in the building who were very nice and helpful. We felt very safe and comfortable with all the amenities we have at home. It was also easy to communicate with the owner and manager of the apartment. We highly recommend this apartment!

We loved our stay in the Marais district. The apartment was exactly as advertised and very pleasant. Serge was so easy to deal with and very helpful. The apartment was clean and attractive.. The building was quiet. ( But do expect a little bar noise on weekends- but hey, it was happy noise! ) The bed and pull-out sleeper were both very comfortable. We were an easy walk to St Paul metro. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and the grocery outside the metro was very convenient. We loved being in the apartment and ate dinner there several nights, since we were too tired from sightseeing. The kitchen was nicely appointed so we had eveything we needed! The free wifi and long distance telephone were a great bonus. We would happily stay in this apartment again and wholeheartedly recommend it. It was so much more pleasant and economical than a hotel. One word of caution- make sure you have a cell phone that works in France to call Serge on arrival, or make specific plans to meet at the building. Our phone didn't work and we had to prevail on a local- pleasant- shopkeeper to call Serge.

My husband and I, along with our 11 year old daughter stayed at Serge's apartment for a week in February. It was everything we were looking for...charming, comfortable, with every amenity we could possibly need. The kitchen was very modern, with a nice size refrigerator, washer, stovetop, and all the dishes and pots we needed to prepare our own meals. The living room is very cozy with a very comfortable sleeper couch, a nice flat screen tv, and a table for eating the warm baguettes we got down the street! The seperate bedroom was also nice, with a very comfortable bed and soft bedding. The closet had a lot of storage room as well. The bathroom was also beautiful and had a great shower in it. The building itself is very safe, with a secured door you have to enter to get into the premises and brings you into a cute courtyard. The apartment is on the third floor, so it is quite a walk up, but it didn't bother us. The neighborhood itself is located in the Marais and is also very safe and charming, with bakeries and cafes all around, as well as a supermarket (Monoprix) very near. The St. Paul stop for the metro is very close and runs along line number one which goes directly to the Louvre, Concorde, Champs Elsyees and the Bastille. We took the metro everywhere and loved how efficient it was! We really couldn't have asked for more in an apartment. It was like a home away from home for us. The only thing missing was an alarm clock, so hopefully Serge will get one, but if not, you might want to bring a travel clock with you. That's my only criticism for a great apartment! Thanks Serge for a wonderful stay!
