Having rented cabins in the past, we knew when we built what was important in a restful retreat. Our friends and relatives agree that we provide that feeling. Lake O'Brien is a smaller (200+), semi-private (no public access), crystal clear lake that is a nice change from the busy, noisy, larger lake chains. There are no resorts on our lake and the water stays beautiful right through the "dog days" of August.
A heavily wooded lot with about a ten foot elevation allows for a beautiful southeastern view of the lake. Set back 75 feet from the water, the shallow area is hard sand and the depth at the end of the dock is about 4.5 feet. Knowing that mosquitoes can become a little pesky, we have a lakeside screen porch that covers 20 of the 30 foot wide cabin. With large windows and a sliding door, this becomes an extra room that allows you to feel like you are outside in the trees.
Last summer was our first time renting. We learned some things and as a result are stipulating some specific items. The first is noise control. The second is the number of guests. Our lake is a very quiet one and we need to respect neighbors and the peaceful setting they enjoy. Likewise we want this to be a pleasureable vacation for you as well. We are selective in those tenants who appreciate the environment and attention to detail that allows you to relax and refresh during your vacation. Feel free to contact us about your vacation needs.
Cabin accomodates six plus tenants. Additional tenants at owners discretion.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
Summer rates, June through August
Rates: $1500-6 nights (Sun noon-Sat noon, occ. max 6), min. 3 nights at $300/night
Security Deposit for 6 nights is $500, less for shorter stays.
If you desire longer or shorter stays, contact us for exact rates.
Pontoon rental is available at $100/day plus a $100 security deposit.
