Kauai is the best of the islands and the most romantic.

We have the "best value"' in Lihue and the hotel. We not only offer you the room at a great rate but we include places to visit and "diners and dives" to visit and take in the local culture......
This unit 2340 is elevated and has a "gorgeous view overlooking the entire property and ocean" from our private lanai balcony. Our property is owned by a major resort franchise that has spent over $16million renovating the entire property. We have actually spent more on our specific room to separate us from the other rooms.
Our room had the bathroom redone with new tub and shower. Travertine floors and marble. We have unique soaps, conditioner, and lotions. New towels are "spa quality" and larger and softer. The king mattress is new with upgraded thread count sheets (200 is standard).....or just have a lunch or drink wine on our private lanai with seating for two.
....or just fall asleep relaxing on our comfortable hawaiian chaisse lounge sofa.
The resort grounds are surrounded by 3 large pools, waterfall, and even a 70 ft plume water slide. Next to the water slide is a fresh water sand bottom pool which is warm and only 2 ft deep which is ideal for lying down. Two large outdoor jacuzzi's are located by the pools. Lunch can be ordered from the poolside bar and grill or you can lounge in the bar with the flatscreen tv and surf the internet for free. Breakfast and dinner is available the Napakaa restaurant. Those needing to work have access to the 24 hr business center. Groceries are available at our in house convenient store. Or order coffee, ice cream or smoothies at our coffee shop.
The Kauai Beach Resort and Hotel is located on a 3.0 mile beach front property and the beach stretches for 1.5 miles in either direction (3.0 miles total). Walk in the morning sunrise or enjoy the waves at sunset....its your private beach and only 100 ft from the hotel. Enjoy the evening with the lighting of the tiki torches surrounding the entire property.
The resort is in the middle of the island and centrally located. 10 minutes to the local downtown of Kappa and Lihue. Experience the local restaurants and save hundreds on food alone. 20 minutes to Poipu Beach or 40 minutes to Princeville or 30 minutes to Waimea Canyon. All activities are easily reached from our hotel. Or its perfect for those who don't want to do anything except relax. You don't even need a car as we provide "free shuttle" service to and from the airport for our guests. And yes, there are tourist guides and activities at the hotel.

Why the Owner Chose Lihue
We purchased this condo based on our staying at many Hilton resorts. We have always been very impressed by Kauai Beach Resort and Hotel's quality and service. Its is a 4 star resort rating. We also loved the amenities of a hotel and yet wanted the positives of a condo. Here, we have the best of both worlds. We have the hotel amenities with the affordability of a condo. It easily sleeps all four of us. As you might imagine, we are very particular about our condo. Experience our personal touches and cleanliness. Stay in our condo and see what we see and we expect you will be returning for another visit. Unlike timeshares, we also have the ability to stay here 365 days a year. So if you want to rent long term, give us a call too.
The Unique Benefits at this Hotel
I am one of very few owners who are actually renting their own unit. Working direct saves you a money as Hilton rates are much greater. Don't see what you like. Email and let's try and design something for your trip and make you happy. Our room has been personally upgraded to all cherry wood furniture, new carpet, travertine floors and marble in the bathroom. New king size bed with serenity mattress. Chaise lounge chair for long naps. We are currently upgrading the bed sheets which exceed the hotel standards. Designer towels (spa quality) for added softness and luxury. Salon shampoos, conditioners, soaps, and body washes. Wait til you feel the 450 thread count sheets and the new pillows. These personal upgrades by my wife certainly exceed any hotel and will make your stay unforgettable.

Booked very last minute, got a fabulous rate, and was concerned about sharing credit card info with someone from Craigslist. Happily, Greg is trustworthy, professional, and followed through on all my last minute arrangements (while we were in the air no less). We stepped off the plane, and he'd left all the details about our stay. Room was as described and shown in the pictures, and has a view of the center court and pool area of the condhotel (as it called?). The hotel was quiet and peaceful, and it felt like we had the place to ourselves most days. However, we spent very vlittle time at the hotel or in the room. It's Kauai, right? Such a beautiful island to explore, why sit in the room all day? Instead we hiked, climbed, and left for an early fitness workout at Kauai Crossfit. The only downside of this unit is that it does not have a kitchen, so be prepared to eat at the hotel (expensive) or drive to neighboring eating spots. As a result, we discovered lots of places off the beaten path so it was an adventure. If that's not your thing, Greg provides a list of places to eat and explore. We enjoyed our stay and plan to share our positive experience with our friends.

at opening the door there was a musty mildew odor. when opening the slider which was very weather worn and difficult we encountered the most beautiful view of the pool area and ocean. We knew this was not a condo so don't advertise it as such. Kauai is one of the most gorgeous of islands in Hawaii. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. But if you are not into eating out every evening go for a real condo with kitchen. We did relax at the resort but then there are other units if you are visiting for a longer period of time.Just a bit calstrophobic for us. over all we loved the resort. Thanks Greg.
Owner response:Aloha...our room is located in a hotel. The legal description is condotel. Its a hybrid because its a hotel room owned by an independent individual. Our ad clearly points this out. All hotel rooms are air condition controlled in every room. The hotel mandates leaving an unoccupied room on low air conditioning to save energy. Once the air condition is on, the room is completely normal. This is hawaii and its tropical and humid at times. We just had the carpets cleaned prior to their stay. We assure you the hotel is inspected 3 times per month for any problems. Eating out each day is treat while on vacation. If you are staying less than 4 weeks its convenient. We also provide you a list of local restaurants where the local owners are making homemade food at such a discounted price. This is where all the locals dine at. Its healthy and inexpensive. Almost all food in Kauai is imported from CA. Gas and travel makes it expensive to stay in a condo as you have to buy all the groceries which is double the price of normal in the States. We have upgrades in our room that others do not. we visit the hotel every 6 months. You can even talk with the hotel liason who knows us on a first name basis. We not only have short trips but many clients have booked us for over 3 months at a time. We welcome you all. And we can always be reached by our cell phones in case of any requests even extended stays. Even if we are booked, we have a way to accommodate you. mahalo and visit us soon

My husband and I recently stayed in this unit for 5 nights (May/June 2011). The resort is definitely beautiful with well kept grounds, and the room is updated with a great bed and plenty of towels. There is a small lanai that overlooks the hotel grounds. However, the room is a hotel room, not part of the condo and is NOT a one bedroom unit as represented. Because we rented by owner we were told we would not receive hotel services upon check-in when our room was not ready. This meant they could not clean our room or call to have it cleaned and were told that any supplies or maintenance should not be requested. We had to contact the owner who did move very fast at remedying our situation. I am sure if we had any other problems he would have taken care of them quickly. Luckily, we didn't. The pool bar had a mediocre Happy Hour if you are interested in that. The drinks were premade and very expensive. There is a lounge with nightly entertainment that was pretty good. The location is very central and we liked that part a lot. The parking fee is not optional, if you don't pay it you park at your own risk. You have to drive into the resort and they control the parking totally. We saw no other option. The beach in front of the hotel was not really swimmable when we were there. We could not even walk on it because of a river crossing that we did not want to wade through. It had been pretty stormy and there was a lot of debris on the shoreline at the time. There are three nice pools and two jacuzzis that were great after a busy day. The sand bottom pool is only maybe a foot and a half deep, so no swimming. Kauai is a great island, have fun! -----------------------------------------
Owner response:This is a hotel unit and you are entitled to use of the facilities such as the pools, jacuzzi, business center, etc. Check out time is 12pm and check in time is 4pm. We need time to have the room professionally cleaned. The sand bottom pool is for children. The hotel is located on the beach and you have approximately 3 miles of almost private beach. Many people surf the waters when the waves are large enough. There is also free wi fi in the hotel lobby and bar area.

I recently stayed at the Kauai Beach Resort and really enjoyed it. The pools and beach at the resort were amazing. The owner was very reasonable and helpful when providing accomadations. The room, bathroom, and bed were clean and smelled fresh. Only thing upsetting about the resort was the staff. At times they were not the most friendly and helpful. Also, the staff will try to tell you that you must park in their lot and tried to charge us even after we declined parking passes. Double check your reciept at the end.

We stayed here in early July for 10 days. The place was very clean and smelled nice like a new room. The king bed was very comfortable and new. The owners claimed that they were updated to a 450 threadcount and I never slept any better in a hotel room. We had friends in a neighboring unit and they did not have the upgraded towels we had either. There were lots of little amenities that we had in our room that they did not. I guess different owners own a few of these and they are all different. I really feel we got the best one. On top of that, the owners were married here and visit often. They were great with our reservations and even returned our phone calls when we had questions during our stay for tourist and restaurants destinations. They know the island well and provided us with hidden gems for restaurants and stores. I must have saved hundreds on food alone.!!! The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very nice and even new the owner of our unit. I enjoyed the food at all the restaurants and loved the entertainment in the evening. We also loved the Rainforest Spa on the first floor...got to try it. We were on the upper floor so it was nice to be able to leave the balcony doors open all day and night without having to worry about people looking in our room. In other places,

We would highly recommend this place as the "ideal place to stay in Kauai". It is so close to the airport about 5 minutes. The place is very clean and basically new. The bathroom is very clean and very modern. The owner was very helpful with our reservations and every time we called he called back right away. The hotel is very nice and the live entertainment was nice. We got lucky and there was a local arts and craft fair in the auditorium. We loved the closeness of the beach and as promised the view was awesome and we could hear the ocean at night. We would definitely stay here again. its a super value.

We rented this unit for a week in May 2010. We had a great time! This unit works well as a central area to explore the entire island. I'd just like to list a few comments for those who are thinking about renting this unit. First the bottom line: Very nice room. Resort grounds are nice - we looked at a few others and for the price we paid we thought this was by far the best deal. You can't go wrong renting this unit. (for 2 people at least). The Good Stuff: Room was clean, and in great condition. The view out the patio was great. I'm not an expert but yes the sheets probably are 450 count sheets! The Other Stuff: There is ALOT of rooms owned by private owners at this resort. We got a better deal price wise by renting from this owner rather than the resort directly, but not necessarily better than we could from other owners, you just have to find them. We talked to several vacationers in our first hour there and we all paid about the same price. We also checked out a room that the resort rents directly and it was EXACTLY the same, even the 450 count sheets! You will pay a bit more by going thru the resort, BUT you will get daily maid service. (clean towels daily for example) So you have to balance what is important to you. For us we did fine without the daily service generally except for items like the toilet paper for example - the room was only stocked with 2 rolls. We ended up having to buy a roll cause we didnt want to run out. Maybe we poop more than the average family but I don't think so. Also just so you are aware since this unit is contracted to an "outside" maintenance company IF you have problems with the toilet overflowing or any other problems you will have to contact the maintenance company, the hotel can't help. (that info is staight from the hotel personel - now on the other hand they did help us when our door card reader quit working so YMMV),Also while the view out the patio is great, over looking the pool area and in the distance you can see the ocean - as far as the hotel is concerned, this room is a "pool view" room - not an "ocean view" although again you can see the ocean. You just need to know that when comparing pricing. This is a nice hotel room with a queen bed. Not sure where more people than 2 would sleep unless you were really friendly or had an inflatable, thus I'm not sure about the owners claim of "retiring" to this unit. I think he probably means the area. Oh and no LCD TV..just a standard one. Pillows -okay
