This is a vacation home where you can really relax yet quickly get to sights and adventures close by. It will provide great memories for years to come.

The sound of birds and the whisper of the wind through the redwoods replace the rush of traffic. It's a wonderful place to relax and refresh your tired spirit, or to bring your family for a get away and local area excursions and adventures.
This beautiful, quiet, spacious and comfy Santa Cruz Mountain vacation home is located in the secluded area of the Mount Hermon Resort and Conference Center in the redwoods. It is available for weekly or shorter term rental.

This expansive mountain home has privacy you don't find just any where. With its mountain and forested views, you may wander out onto one of the many redwood balconies or garden patio with your morning cup of coffee and contemplate the serenity of the breeze playing through the trees.
It is a short walk down to the river or a stroll around the river canyon. The area is full of activities, both natural and indoors.

It is just two minutes from Felton and Roaring Camp Railroad. Felton is a little town full of history, an undiscovered gem replete with coffee shops, antique sellers, and unique restaurants. Don Quixote is a restaurant/music hall that features the best in international and regional live music (shows are daily and usually start at 8pm). Fifteen minutes away is Santa Cruz, The Board Walk, the beach and the breathtaking Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary, teeming with sea life.

This charming and spacious home offers a cozy family room plus a large luxurious living room, each with wood burning fireplaces. Depending on the option you choose, it has 2-4 bedrooms, (including a separate Bunk House that sleeps 3) plus 2-3 baths. An additional space we call the "kid cave" is a curtained alcove decorated with kids in mind. It is set up for the enjoyment of children who can use this space to play and/or sleep while visiting. Included is a white board for when they feel the need to get artistic without using the walls.

You will have easy access to the Santa Cruz beaches, Monterey Bay and Big Sur. The best of both worlds, this area provides a refreshing and nourishing vacation in the peaceful redwoods, or exploring (or even sailing) the Monterey Bay area. Available is beachcombing, deep sea fishing, surfing (including an internationally reknowned surf spot), windsurfing, ocean kayaking, shopping, fine dining, art, music of all genres and many local area wineries.

Mount Hermon Resort and Conference Center has miles of hiking trails, with water falls and suspension bridges that take you over Bean Creek or Zayante Creek. It is nestled in the heart of the coastal redwoods where you can enjoy private beaches along the creek, or walk across neighborhood bridges to visit the sandy beach areas or rent a small paddle boat. The Roaring Camp Train Depot and General Store is less then 1/4 mile away and includes The Henry Cowell Park Nature Center and Gift Shop. In less then 15 minutes by car, you can travel to one of Santa Cruz's many fine beaches. You can also do the same by taking a train ride in open cars from Roaring Camp to the beach and Santa Cruz Boardwalk (called "The Suntan Special"). Shorter Steam Train tours through the redwoods are also available, as well as a variety of theme weekends offered, including BBQ’s with full moon rides available throughout the year and during most holidays.

In addition, Mount Hermon Resort offers the first Redwood Forest Canopy adventure tour 7 days a week.

*The Proprietor also offers private sailing excursions on the Monterey Bay.
• Excursion price is $50 per person/per day, under separate and pre-arranged agreement. Capacity is 4-6 Guests. Scheduling and availability also depends on current weather conditions.
