"Ciel Bleu" is the perfect vacation villa for either the very active or those who want to just kick back and relax. It was lovingly designed with the vacationer in mind. The villa is located directly on the Atlantic Ocean with an incredible "down island" vista and sweeping panoramic views of the British Virgin Islands and the island of St. John. Sit on the covered deck or by the pool in the bright tropical sun and watch boats of all shapes and sizes go by. Be mesmerized by the sight of the soaring pelicans diving for their breakfast amongst the crashing waves directly below the house. Walk, run or drive to Magen's Bay Beach, one of the "top ten beaches in the world". Play a round of golf at nearby Mahogany Run golf course, home of "The Devil's Triangle".
Enjoy 2600 square feet under one roof of casually elegant tropical living with an additional 1600 square feet of outdoor living space. The villa's living and dining area have lots of comfortable seating and a glass top dining table that seats eight. There is a surround sound music system with DVD, CD, and a 46" flat screen TV with additional speakers located under the covered deck and poolside in the gazebo. The large kitchen is truly a chef's delight with all stainless steel appliances including an electric glass top stove/range, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator with purified water and ice maker. This part of the house is just like living outdoors with the openness of 20' vaulted ceilings and multiple large sliding glass doors that face the ocean and pool deck.
The spacious master bedroom has a king size bed adjacent to a large picture window creating the feeling of floating on the ocean. The furnishings and decor give the room a decidedly tropical feel. There is a glass door that leads directly onto the covered deck for morning coffee or late night drinks. The master bath has a separate toilet room and double sinks under mounted in a granite top. The large shower window looks out to the brilliant aqua of the Atlantic Ocean with stunning views of Hans Lollick Island.
There are two additional king size master suites in the lower level with private baths that include double sinks and large marble showers, both with the same view as the master bath. Each suite has a covered deck with colorful tropical seating to watch sunrise over the ocean. There are mounds of beautiful bougainvillea flowers literally at your feet. The "bleu" guest room has a queen size sofa-bed in addition to the king size panel bed, perfect for older children. There is a "media" room also located on the lower level with an additional DVD player and flat screen television. All three bedrooms, as well as the media room, are air-conditioned but it's rarely needed because of the cool tropical breezes.
Ciel Bleu's outdoor area is tropical living at it's best. A perfect mix of shaded and sun drenched space that includes a covered deck with dining for four and two reclining lounge chairs, a poolside gazebo with a full size sofa to stretch out on, and lots of deck space with plenty of lounge chairs. And then there's the pool--easy entry with steps on each side plus a built in tile bench and a faux infinity edge that stretches out towards the ocean. There's even a solar powered pool heater that keeps the water at the perfect temperature. Add in luscious tropical flowers, a couple of coconut palms and an outdoor stone shower and you have paradise!

Why the Owner Chose Estate Peterborg
Our dream began when we literally stumbled on a "for sale" sign at the end of the road in Sydney's Fancy back in 2000. We had been searching for a condo or house on St. Thomas for our part time retirement home, but were in awe when we saw the view from the piece of property that is now the home of Ciel Bleu. This was to be where we would spend the very cold Michigan winters. It took many hours of planning and almost two years to complete but the result is well worth all of the effort.
St. Thomas is the best of all of the U.S. Virgin Islands because there are so many things to do and the island provides all of the "creature comforts" that is needed for everyday life. There is a golf course, fabulous beaches, well stocked grocery stores, great shopping, excellent restaurants, and even a movie theater--all within a few minutes drive from Ciel Bleu. The tropical climate is most definitely a plus!
The Unique Benefits at this House
The oceanfront location of Ciel Bleu is spectacular. During the day you can sit in the reclining chairs on the covered deck and watch the pelicans and other water birds dive for their meals amongst the rocks in the ocean. It is an endless source of entertainment. At night sit on the pool deck and look at the cloudless sky and try and count the zillions of stars that are visible while watching the lights twinkle across the ocean on the island of Jost Van Dyke.
