  First let me say that I am a tough customer to please and I'm very critical in any review I write. With that said I was very pleased with our stay at Atlantic Oasis. The House was very clean when we got there. The house looked just like the pictures on the web. There are flat screens TV in every room but the living room had a traditional CRT 35" TV which to me seemed a bit cheap but I didn't go on vacation to watch TV! The bad points >I like firm beds and the bed in the master definitely had some soft spots >The house is set up to sleep 8 people but the dining table only seats 6. >Pool was smaller than I expected as it is in the shape of a "4". >Pool needed cleaning when we got there >It was a bit of a hike to the beach >No beach equipment (chairs, umbrella...) >Listed a Barbecue grill but the only one we found was a camping sized one not suited for cooking for 8 people >Water heater had a hard time keeping up with the 8 of us. ****************** The good points >Tiki bar was a pleasant surprise with its own TV and refrigerator >Heated Pool >WIFI and wired Internet (but I didn't let anyone get online!!) >Newer appliances >Beach was very nice and clean with soft sand >Close grocery stores and other shopping >Outdoor shower Overall I was pleased with this location and will probably be staying here again in the future. It worked out well for us as we were actually two families (8 total guests) staying here together. There is enough room so you doesn't feel like your bumping into each other. It was nice to spend the day at the Beach and then come home for the heated pool in the evening

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  The pictures and description were accurate with the exception of access to the closets to hang clothes and garage. Not much in the way of cookware or kitchen accessories ex hot pads, towels,silverware. I was excited to stay in this house until we got there.. First morning we were awakened by the lawn people outside the window at 7am.. Spent a day with maintenance man repairing a leak in the downstairs bathroom where water was just coming through the ceiling above the bath tub. Most closets were locked where we could not hang our clothes. Says there is a garage but it was locked and not usable. Jim with Vacation Rental Pro's was the only person who was willing to help in any way and called to check to see if things were getting better. Personally would not recommend this location to my friends or family.

  Owner response: Hi Amy - Thank you so much for your feedback. I apologize for the issues with the closets and kitchenware. This is a new rental house to our program as of July 2, 2011 and we clearly have a few things that needed to be added. I have already contacted our maintenance manager to bring in additional kitchenware. This property does have an owner who has their personal belongings locked away in 2 closets and the garage. I apologize about the tub leak and were glad we were able to fix it. We will discuss with the lawn care people to come at 8 am. They do start early in mornings on lawns because of the heat during the summer. Thank you so much and we look forward to your return. Steve

  We started out on the Gulf and the oil came in (Thanks BP) so we got on line and found this great place in St. Augustine. We contacted Vacation Rental Pros late on Friday and we were enjoying the Atlantic coast by 3:00 on Saturday. Had a great week in a really neat city. Aside from the ocean, there is certainly plenty to do in this historic area.
