Robin's Nest I is located in an established neighborhood, which is convenient to all parts of San Antonio via major thoroughfares. Robin's Nest I has been welcoming guests since July 13, 2009. This home was our home for 18 years, and the location is fabulous! The master bedroom is on the first floor, and the other two bedrooms are on the second floor. The back yard has a very large covered patio with a bar style patio set. Most of the yard is covered with trees which makes for a very pleasant stay in the summer months of San Antonio; which is a wonderful city to visit no matter which season.

We are very proud that Robin's Nest II has been welcoming guests since March 2010. Robin's Nest II is just around the corner from Robin's Nest I. Our newest addition is the same size as the original Robin's Nest, same neighborhood, single story. Both houses can be rented to accommodate large parties such as a family reunion. Please contact Robin via phone, text, or email for more information.
Both Robin's Nests are in a very vibrant and growing area of San Antonio. There are shopping centers and restaurants within five minutes. Robin's Nest I - 9 Miles to Lackland/ 2 Miles to Sea World.
Year Purchased: 1987
Why the Owner Chose San Antonio
Robin's Nest was our home for 18 years, so we didn't buy it to be a vacation rental. When we moved to our present home, we wanted to keep Robin's Nest. A vacation rental in this neighborhood is perfect for guests to experience a vibrant area of San Antonio.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The location of Robin's Nest is so convenient to both Sea World and Lackland AFB. After that, the advantages continue with the fact that it is located near major thoroughfares which allow easy access to all attractions that San Antonio has to offer. There are numerous shopping opportunities close by, but with a quiet, country feel. The front yard is totally fenced with a beautiful blue wrought iron, and the back yard is fenced with a six foot tall block privacy fence, which affords total peace and quiet in the back yard. Robin's Nest has a large, covered patio which adds to the enjoyment of the back yard. Most of the yard is shaded with trees which adds to the appeal of this home.
Quaint, old German settlement. Lots of antique shops, best French restaurant - La Normandie.
Owner's Map of San Antonio

Robin and Shannon have devoted many hours to setting up this property for maximum enjoyment. We have greatly enjoyed the process and wish to invite guests to our home.

We were there for our son/grandson's BMT Graduation from Lackland AFB. The house was perfect! There were 6 of us and we stayed 5 nights at the house. The house was very clean and we had everything that we needed. Robin was very helpful before and during our stay. It was a wonderful place for us to hang out and relax when our son was able to go off base. It was also nice to not have to eat out for every meal. Our son really enjoyed the "home cooked" meals that he had missed while at basic. A few of our favorite things to do were going to a hockey game, visiting The Alamo, and shopping and boatride at the River Walk. We also went for supper at The RainForest Cafe... if you have kids who like animals, they would LOVE this restaurant! Our 12 year old twins had a blast there! Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful place for our family to stay! We highly recommend Robin's Nest to anyone who is looking for a comfortable and inviting "home away from home!"

We had great contact with the owner from the first contact, making reservation and check-in so easy. The property was even better than the photos and description showed, neat and clean, and very accommodating for me and my older mom to stay in. Having the grocery store so close was very helpful. The nearness of one of the main traffic-ways through San Antonio made getting around town easy, no matter what time of day. I would recommend this property to anyone, and hope that I get the good luck to stay here again in the future.

This home was great. We came in order to see our son graduate Air Force Basic. It was so much nicer than having a hotel room & w/ the amount of ppl we had, we would have had to book numerous hotel rooms, here we were able to all be together. This gave our son a chance to kick back in comfort. We were able to cook & grill, wireless internet was also very nice. Our sons flight actually got Honor Flight & Robin was more than willing to let us stay an extra night, since he got town pass for that Sunday also. Robin, Thank You very much & I only wish you had a property by the Naval Training facility now, as we will be going there in a few wks to see our other son graduate. This home is great, I would highly recommend.
Owner response:Kristy, Thank you so much for taking the time to add a review to my listing. I enjoyed getting to know you and sharing the excitement of your son's exception honor. Congratulations on your other son's graduation as well. I wish you and your family much happiness. Robin

Perfect home for my stay in Texas! My family and I traveled from Byron Georgia to San Antonio for BMT graduation and after a 20 hour drive, it was very comforting to arrive at a home that was home away from home! Robins Nest is very clean, well maintained & roomy! The home is located in a quite neighborhood that is convenient to grocery stores, resturants & shopping! Robin is very friendly & outgoing! I love you Robin and if i ever travel to San Antonio again, i will definitely be contacting you about one of your rental home! Thank you for everything! Vanessa and family!!! <3
Owner response:Vanessa, I so enjoyed getting to know you - you are such a special person. I thank you so much for taking the time to submit a review about Robin's Nest. I am so thankful that both Robin's Nests are so close to Lackland AFB so that I can play a small part in the joyful reunion that many families have after an eight week BMT separation. I hope to see you again soon. Many blessings to you and your family! Robin

Dealing with Robin was a delight. She even had a phamplet available outlining after hour emergency vet clinics which I had to use as one of my dogs ate a large piece of corn cob which was stuck in the intestinal track. The home is very clean and welcoming. The yard is enclosed by a fence so I could let the dogs out and not have to tie them up. The house is in an excellent location and is a short walk away from a large grocery store and various restaurants. The neighborhood is very nice as well, and you feel extremely safe here. I will certainly return to Robin's nest in the future.
Owner response:Paulette, It was wonderful getting to know you, Kathy, and Paul! As well as Camper and Olive. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Robin's Nest. I hope to see you again! :) Robin

We rented this charming house for a family reunion from Sept 9 through Sept 14. We had many guests at our family reunion - the accommodations in this house were excellent. Plenty of room to visit, sleep, cook and everything that we needed was furnished. The patio area was wonderful - excellent place to visit and eat snacks. The house is well appointed and very adequate in furnishings - everything is clean and well maintained. The pictures are accurate as to how this house and yard look The owner even furnished a play pen and high chair for a baby that was along for the visit. I met the owner and she is very sweet and personable. I highly reccomend her rentals if you are wanting a place to stay while visiting is San Antonio and not wanting to staty at a hotel or motel. It is convenient to all of the points of interest located in the San Antonio area. This place is kid friendly for sure.
Owner response:Velma, Thank you so much for the wonderful review of Robin's Nest. It was wonderful getting to know you and Jenny. I am so glad that your family enjoyed spending time together at Robin's Nest Please keep me updated on Zoe. Robin

Robin's Nest was a wonderful place for my family to stay when we visited San Antonio to see my son Ian graduate from basic training at Lackland AFB. It had all the amenities we needed to feel like we were at home, including a grill for steaks, and a crock pot that Robin made available for pot roast, both requested by Ian. The beds were comfy and the space was more than adequate for the 11 people we had staying there. Ian was happy to come "home" and take a long shower by himself, eat a home-cooked meal, and fall asleep on the couch during a movie. The whole place just feels like home. There's also a grocery store across the street and plenty of fast food and yummy restaurants nearby, and it's an easy, short commute to Lackland for those of you considering Robin's Nest for YOUR child's graduation. Robin is wonderful to work with and made sure our stay was comfortable. I'm hoping my cousin will decide to join the Air Force so we can come back down and stay at Robin's Nest again! Thank you Robin for everything you did to make our vacation so perfect! You rock!
Owner response:Robin, From the moment you contacted me about Robin's Nest, it was a pleasure getting to know you and your family. Thank you very much for your kind comments. Thank you also for the goodies that you left at the house for future guests to use. With Robin's Nest being so close to Lackland, I am honored that so many BMT graduate families decide to spend their special moments at our home. The best of luck to you and your family, especially Ian. I look forward to seeing you again. Robin
