Be one of the first to discover our newly remodeled lake home. Our family’s vacation home is fully furnished and has 3 large bedrooms, plus a game room, and 2 full bathrooms and can easily accommodate up to 10 guests. We invite you to come enjoy our home and create some lasting vacation memories at “the best lake in Texas”.
MASTER BEDROOM & BATH HIGHLIGHTS
The master bedroom features a queen size bed with side table & lamp. This bedroom also features a full length dresser. Enjoy views of the lake from the luxury of your bed, or step out onto the back deck through the divided glass french doors (living & master bedroom).
GUEST BEDROOM HIGHLIGHTS
The second bedroom features a full size bed and twin bed and the third bedroom has a twin bed and pull out trundle. Both rooms have plenty of dresser space to store personal items and clothes.
KITCHEN HIGHLIGHTS
The Fully Furnished Kitchen (should you want to cook) features a side-by-side refrigerator equipped with in door water and ice, dishwasher, self-cleaning oven and a built in microwave. The kitchen also features a coffee maker, toaster, blender, slow cooker, whirly pop popcorn maker, waffle maker and all of the cookware and utensils you will need. The dining table seats 6, plus 4 at the bar. There is also a table and 4 chairs on the back deck, for enjoying the view of the lake with dinner.
LIVING ROOM HIGHLIGHTS
The living room offers a sofa and two chairs, which makes watching a DVD on the big screen TV priceless family entertainment. The living room has french doors that open out onto the back deck and a great view of the dock and beautiful lake water.
LOCATION
Our home is located a little over an hour’s drive from downtown Dallas in Gun Barrel City. We are very close to town, so shopping and restaurants are an easy 5 – 10 minute drive. In addition, for those of you who enjoy some great flea market finds, we are only 30 minutes from Canton’s First Monday Trade Days (held on the weekend prior to the first Monday of every month). You can also find a movie theatre nearby and fun park with go-cart rides and laser tag for the young and young at heart.

Why the Owner Chose Gun Barrel City
We fell in love with the home the first time we saw it. It had a certain charm about it that made it feel like a cottage which is very different from our home in the city.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our lake house is close to town, so grocery stores, shopping and restaurants are all within a few miles. The neighborhood is very friendly and doesn't get a lot of traffic because it is a cul-de-sac street. We are in a very large protected cove, which makes a great area for skiing and riding jet skis. Plus, the fishing can be great in the early morning or late evening.

We live in the Dallas area and bought this home for a family getaway in 2007. The house was completely in ruins when we purchased it. We spent over a year remodeling the interior and exterior and making it our home away from home. We love getting away from the city for the weekend and spending time on the water.

We had such a great time at the lakehouse. We slept 11 with no problem, all adults. It was great to have 2 bathrooms, kept everyone moving, and especially loved the rainshower in the master bath. The house is so well decorated and laid out for family enjoyment. The water is low at the dock, so we could not get our boat into the slip, but we had a good time in spite of that. We floated and enjoyed the water everyday. The AC was a large component to our comfort- since it was above 100 everyday we were there and usually by 11AM!! The beds are very comfortable and plenty of them. Our kids want to make this an annual get together. Thanks Kim for your hospitality.

We had a wonderful time at your house. It was the perfect setting, and the house really held our group nicely. It was our first time to try having several families under one roof, and we all had fun. The kitchen and den area are so nice and open, and the big screen TV was awesome for watching the Mavs championship game! We also enjoyed hours of fun swimming in the lake.

We had a great, relaxing 2 days with the kids at the lakehouse. There was such a nice breeze on the boat house, and the kids swam while we fished. The house was clean and well equipped with everything you could need. We enjoyed playing the board games, I took advantage of a James Patterson book or two. We will definitely return in the future. Once again, thanks for sharing your place with us.

We arrived to a beautifully decorated, SUPER clean home. Not to mention the refreshing cool air, ahh!! We just kept talking about how nice the place was. Our family had such a wonderful time sitting on the back deck, fishing, boating, swimming & sitting out on the party deck in the evening. There were plenty of games to play. We truly had all the comforts of home. It was truly stocked with everything you need. Kim, thank you for making this such a pleasant experience all the way around. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

We loved every moment spent at the house. It was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and looked even better than the photos. Once we got settled, it was like being at home. The boys fished off the dock and on the last day caught a big catfish.....yipppeeeee! There were tons of books to read and games to play and a Walmart up the road in case we ran out of anything....Dairy Queen was a real treat since we don't have one in our own neighborhood. It was a great place to share a special time with our family. Hope to return next year.

Kim, The house was easy to find and absolutely wonderful! My friends and I had a great time relaxing and reconnecting over the weekend. Six of my college girlfriends and I stayed here for the weekend and it was perfect for us. Everyone had a bed to sleep on and every amenity you could need and more was there for us. The home is very clean and kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook. We played games on the Wii, cards at the dining table, relaxed on the deck, and relaxed in the living area. We all talked all weekend about how great the place was. It was just over an hour for those of us driving down from Dallas - very easy to get to.

We had a great time at your lake house and would certainly book again. The house was clean, well appointed and looked like the pictures. The fishing was great and the kids enjoyed swimming in the lake. Only ate out once at Chilli's the rest of the time we fixed at the house, so can't recommend area restaurants. We had a wonderful time. Brought our boat and did alot of fishing. Also my grandkids caught catfish off the dock. I was so proud when the 2 girls 13 & 11 came running in and said "Grandma we caught a catfish and took it off the hook ourselves" My chest was swollen. It was 12 inches so we cleaned him. Would reccomend anyone who likes the water to give this house a try. It has everything you could possible need while on vacation. I will return. Sam

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful lake cottage at Cedar Creek Lake! The lakehouse was comfortably furnished with everything we needed. The boathouse was so nice for docking our boat and even star gazing at night. We enjoyed playing the games from the lakehouse out on the deck and retreating to the wii games when returning from the lake. Thank you for opening your lake home to us!
