  My husband surprised me for my 30th birthday and booked this adorable cabin for the weekend. We were able to bring our dog along and cozy up in this perfect cabin. It was so peaceful and relaxing and I loved that it wasn't right in Lake Arrowhead but a quick enough drive to get into town. We had breakfast on the deck each morning and bird watched and walked around the property and the surrounding neighborhood with our dog. We loved the trees, the deck, the sun room where we had wine in the evening together and cooked most of our meals here. The kitchen was great size and had everything you could possibly need and the upstairs room had a tv so we watched a move together in bed and the bathroom was so nice with washer and dryer! My favorite part was the fireplace and the cozy living room area where we just chilled and opened the windows and let the breeze blow through the entire cabin. I would go back in a heartbeat and take my family with us next time.

  My family and I stayed here 3 years ago and we couldn't be more happier with our stay this past weekend. We arrived on Friday at the beginning of the snowstorm. It was a scary ride up but that's what made it more exciting. We were in awe the next morning waking up to 360 views of snow covered trees and icicles on the roof of the cabin. Also,the cabin is only 1 of 3 cabins on a very secret road. Lots of privacy and best of all just outside was our very own playground for sledding. Also, since our last stay John and his family remodeled the bathroom which came out beautiful. I really can keep going on about how awesome this cabin is but take my word that everything described here and the pictures is the real deal. We had such a great weekend and hopefully plan to stay a little longer next time! Thank you again for a great stay & great memories!

  We had such a great time in Arrowhead. The cabin had everything we needed and was so quaint and cozy that we didn't want to leave! We bbqed on the deck, played board games, sat in the sun on the deck and just had an overall amazing time with family. The owner was also very helpful in answering questions and responding to emails promptly. I would highly recommend this place.

  Stayed there over the weekend with my husband and english bulldog. When we arrived the path to the house was still covered in snow, which is a good thing when you're from San Diego. The home was perfect for us and we never even ventured up to the 2 bedrooms upstairs, but would definitely come back with friends. The extra firewood was a bonus. We managed to go out to Lake Gregory to walk around but part of me wishes we would have never left because it was so cuddly, and the owners were super responsive with directions and info. Finished my book, cooked a mail, walked in the snow, exhaled from life.

  "WOW!" we all exclaimed as we walked through the door... The pictures don't do this charning cabin justice! The cabin was immaculate just perfect! We had such a nice, peaceful and relaxing get-away from L.A. Even made S'mores at the fireplace :) Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer, so we will plan another trip soon! The perfect get away for a family, or in our case, a few friends and a few bottles of wine... Tip: You have to turn the water on outside when you get there. Also when we were there there wasn't much in the way of firewood so we had to make a trip to the 7-11.

  My husband, toddler and other family stayed here the week after Christmas. The owners were really easy to contact and and answered all of our questions prior to arrival. We enjoyed the house location. It's really convenient to get to the 18 hwy as well as to Lake Arrowhead village. Yet, it's very secluded so you don't hear any traffic or neighbors. We took a lot of nice walks around the adjacent neighborhoods. The house had everything you'd need to cook. The kitchen and downstairs full bath was nicely redone. Every reviewer talks about the fireplace and it is indeed large and fun to light and enjoy.

  The first thing we said when we stepped into the cabin was "It even SMELLS good!" The place is roomy, cozy, well decorated, and well located. There is a little sun room/nook with perfect natural lighting and looks over the forested hills. During our weekend there, we only left once to buy some groceries - the rest of the time was spent sledding in the surrounding hills, playing games and watching movies by the fireplace, and cooking up a storm. The owner was very prompt at responding to emails and phone calls. He also provided helpful information and thoroughly answered all my questions about the cabin. I would definitely recommend this rental to any group looking for a comfortable, simple place to spend time together and enjoy the area. However, if you are looking for luxurious accommodations, this is not for you - bathrooms are small and simple, the fireplace is not gas-powered, the mattresses are spill-proofed, and there is no dishwasher. On the other hand, we were quite comfortable with the central heating, hot water, tasteful lighting, cable television, basically equipped kitchen, and plentiful firewood. If you're willing to do some simple chores and "rough it" just a tiny bit, this is a wonderful place for a very reasonable price.

  What a great place to get away from it all! We enjoyed this delightful cabin with two other couples and all of our kids and had a great time. The location makes you feel very secluded, but being only minutes from Arrowhead Village was very convenient. The huge (and new) deck was perfect for all of us to hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather and to be able to keep an eye on the kids. The new kitchen and appliances was great for preparing meals for our large crew. And best of all, the wonderful fireplace where we cozied up to each evening with the kids and played games. We can’t wait to come back to this cabin; trying to figure out dates for our return trip! The owner was very gracious and helpful when we had questions and they are very pet friendly! We highly recommend staying here to anyone who is looking for a perfect getaway.

  Wow! We were very pleased with our stay at the Skyforest cabin. Very secluded and away from it all. We went to Snow Valley Resort and Big Bear since they were just 20mins away. We enjoyed all the trees and scenery around the cabin. The cabin is wonderfully decorated and has everything you can think of. We especially loved sitting by the fireplace playing board games late at night. We highly recommend staying here to anyone. You will be very happy with this choice. We can't wait to go back! Thank you to John and his family for a great experience!

  This is a great find! If you really want to feel like you are "away from it all", you will love this vintage cabin. It is only minutes to all of the conveniences of Lake Arrowhead, and a short drive to Big Bear. My husband and I explored the local Arrowhead trails in our Jeep with our dog Gordon-- the cabin is very pet friendly, with and acre and a half of pine trees to run around. The owners are a pleasure to deal with, and we look forward to our next visit. Karla Stahlman
