Newly Updated Luxury Condo - Heated Pool, Dockage, Water Views
Year Purchased: 2009
Why the Owner Chose Marathon
Gulf Pointe offers one of the nicest property values in the Keys. Excellent dockage, fishing, a beautiful pool and grounds are shared by only 20 units. Each unit is well maintained. The units are large - over 1400 square feet with two huge wrap around balconies. Gentle Ocean breezes and great water views make this a great place to relax and get away from it all!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
The fishing from the dock is excellent - last week we caught large mangrove snapper, hooked a 40 lb tarpon, and caught enough fish for several meals. At night we watched lobster, octopus, rays and a variety of sea life. We were visited by manatees twice during our most recent one week stay. We also rented a boat for fantastic snorkeling and fishing at the reef. The large heated pool is a great place to relax with a book or compare your days adventures with friends. The complex is quiet, yet close to everything the Keys offer.
Owner's Map of Marathon
This is our second condo we have owned at Gulf Pointe. After traveling the US and the world we have always found Marathon and this complex to be our favorite place. We hope you can be our guest to discover the treasures of the Florida Keys!

The weather was great and the condo spacious and comfortable. Dave brought his kayak and enjoyed the afternoons on the water with Grant. Had great seafood at Sparkys. Wore ourselves out with the all day adventure package with Sunset Cruises. We will be back! Thanks for sharing your lovely home!

Loved Coco Plum beach, just one mile up the street. A hidden gem - hardly anyone there! As the Key deer refuge on Big Pine Key and the art shops in Islamorada. Enjoy!

looking at the water and the sunsets with a bottle of wine. Had a wonderful time. Love your condo. Very comfortable. And, the neighoors are very nice and friendly. The guys went fishing with Todd Ziels and caught bonefish, jacks and enough mangrove snapper for a delicious dinner at Keys Fisheries. Hate to leave the beautiful wather and going back to the snow!

Thank you Phil and Linda, your place is wonderful with all the amenities we wanted! We were blessed. :) It was nice to get away from the cold in DC area for a while. Great people around Gulf Point II. Did some fishing off the dock...we hooded a big tarpon but it wiggled away. Thanks again.

We recently had such a great time in Marathon and the surrounding Keys during our Spring Break holiday. The weather was perfect with warm temps and blue skies (it rained twice, but at night while we slept). We took our two boys ages 15 and 18 and had both a fun and relaxing week. Phil and Linda provided us with everything we could need in their clean, spacious and comfortable condo. Marathon is such a great location, convenient to state parks, restaurants, water sport activities, and shopping. My husband brought his kayak, and without having to leave the condo property he and my son were able to paddle out from the dock to enjoy the water and scenery. Some other highlights of our vacation included the Do It All package with Sunset Tours, Mallory Square at Sunset, snorkeling at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, a walk down Old Seven Mile Bridge, and a sightseeing walk on the trails in Bahia Honda State Park (beautiful). Thank you so much Linda and Phil for sharing your home with us. We hope to stay at your condo again in the near future (there is still so much we would like to see and do) and will recommend it to our friends and family as well!

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with our first trip to the Keys. Staying in this beautiful condo on Marathon was wonderful. We were centrally located so it was easy to go north to Key Largo and south to Key West. We explored Crane Point, Bahia Honda State Park, John Pennekamp Park and Key West. It was so nice to come "home" after a day of sightseeing, sit on the balcony and enjoy the warm breezes. Morning coffee outside in short sleeves and shorts while the rest of the country was freezing was simply fantastic. We had a wonderful time!

We travelled out from the UK to spend New Year with our daughter who is currently working in Canada. Marathon was an ideal place to meet up and see a little of the Florida Keys. The condo was perfectly situated and had absolutely everything we needed. In addition, Linda was superb regarding the organisation of payment and providing keys across to another continent! Weather was mixed; some days beautifully warm and sunny and some days really cool. We were delighted with the book provided in the condo which gave us plenty of ideas of where to eat and what to visit. We loved the tarpon feeding, the dolphins and Ernest Hemingway's house in Key West. Lots of great places to eat close to the condo especially the Island Fish Co; everyone was so friendly towards us and made us foreigners feel really welcome! Thanks Linda for a great vacation!
