Buster's Cabin is hidden in a grove of trees keeping it secluded from the scorching sun, traffic, and wandering eyes. You will feel a million miles away from the bustle of city life, but amenities are not far away. There is direct access to a favorite swimming hole, named Jay's Hole. A shared dock is available for fishing, or just skipping rocks. Often bald eagles are seen overhead, and turtles and beaver swim past. If you awaken early in the morning you will often catch a glimpse of a mother doe with her fawn, a family of foxes or other wildlife.
The modern log cabin was constructed from a Prairie Kraft kit in 1993. It can accommodate two guests in the master bathroom, with adjoining bathroom. The bath has a shower and a small washer available for guest use. The full kitchen has a bar with 6 bar stools. Upstairs is a loft with two twin beds. The living area has a futon that can be folded out for two more guests. The property has an open space where a group could play games or park cars. Sunset viewers will enjoy the warmth of the west facing fire pit.
Two miles away is the town of Chetek. Chetek is host to many attractions including: Music in the Park, Hydroflights water ski shows, small town shopping, fish-o-rama, Stardust - a retro drive in movie theatre and the Chetek Chain of Lakes.

Buster's Cabin is close to the beautiful Red Cedar River in northern Wisconsin. The surrounding fields, woodlands, and meadows are filled with wildlife. The view of the sunset over the farmlands across the valley is breathtaking. The cabin is nestled in a grove of trees, so it feels like you are miles away from civilization, but it is really a short drive into town.
The Unique Benefits of this Log Cabin
A bonus is the quiet surroundings with the songs of birds. River access available with dock and opportunities for inner-tubing, canoeing, fishing, nature-viewing. The cabin is naturally well insulated by the logs, and insulated construction of the roof and floors keep you cool in summer or warm at chilly temperatures. A drive-through driveway accommodates lots of parking. Watch the sunset as you roast marshmallows over a secluded fire pit. Rent a movie in the town of Chetek, 2 miles away, and watch it on the flat screen TV. Go for a bike ride or a walk in the woods.
