St. Thomas Cottage exceeded all of our expectations! It is a gem with terrific ocean and island views, privacy and quiet. Mike and Claire were great hosts and made us feel special with all the attention they gave us. A big bonus was Mike taking us to the grocery store our first night there, spending time with us to tell us about St. Thomas, and helping erect one of my ham radio antennas. He could not have been more accommodating. While we looked around St. Thomas, doing the regular tourist stuff at the beach, shopping, and eating at some great restaurants, our best time was just being at the cottage. Some nights we slept with the windows and doors opened, listening to the birds and the island wind in the coconut and palm trees. It was like being in a tropical rain forest. We spent time on the beautiful deck, high off the ground, relaxing and enjoying the view with wine and dinner. We rented a car and drove ourselves all over St. Thomas, which is easy to do from St. Thomas Cottage. To town, the airport, and the closest beach was just about a ten-minute drive. We have rented houses in Trinidad, St. Croix, Hawaii and Jamaica. St. Thomas Cottage is the absolute the best, most wonderful place we have ever stayed. We are now planning our second trip to this beautiful cottage. You should go, you will not be disappointed!

Stop Searching…. You’ve Found It!

You can wear your computer and yourself out searching for that perfect place to stay on your vacation. Allow me to help you shorten the process. This was our third trip to the Virgin Islands, and without a doubt, Mike and Claire made our stay the best ever. The Cottage was beautifully furnished and maintained with all the comforts of home. The setting is private, quiet, and relaxing, yet you’re only minutes away from anything you may want or need. It was a pleasure to know that at the end of a busy day snorkeling, sailing, or touring the island, a quiet and comfortable haven was waiting for your arrival. Mike and Claire are wonderful hosts. Their knowledge and assistance are invaluable, and their respect and concern for your privacy and comfort make staying here a wonderful experience. VRBO needs to add a sixth star to its rating scale, because that’s what this little slice of paradise deserves.

The pictures do this marvelous cottage no justice! The cottage is stunning..no need for air conditioning the breeze from outside fills the entire place with a island feel! The property was immaculate and very well maintained. Mike and Claire the owners were absolutely great. Claire thank you for all your information prior to coming and making the decision to spend my birthday in St. Thomas. Thanks for ensuring that my birthday was indeed celebrated! Claire you almost brought me to tears remembering my special day! Mike words can't express our gratitude for all your hospitality and knowledge of the island. The airport is ten minutes away, beaches are five minutes away, and pure bliss sets in almost the minute you get off the plane! We would definitely recommend this property for a couple looking to enjoy a relaxing, beautiful setting in a tropical getaway! Thanks again for a great birthday celebration!

Better Than Advertised!

Without question, this was our best vacation ever. The pictures the host have on this website do not do the cottage and location justice. The road outside the cottage was being paved when we arrived the first night, so we didn't get to see the outside of the cottage or the view. What a wonderful surprise when we woke up to the cool breezes and bright sunshine. The view from the deck while we ate breakfast is just stunning. The deck is perfect for sunning during the afternoon. We covered a lot of territory during our stay, but if you asked us separately, what day was the best?. We'd both say the day we stayed at the cottage enjoying each others company or spending time reading out on the deck. The inside is just as comfortable and very clean. The high ceilings and fans allow you to feel like your outside. Eating breakfast at the cottage saved some cash as did the occassional lunch. Dinner was usually out at local spots the hosts reccomended, but the modern kitchen in the cottage was well equipped for cooking in, if that's what you'd like to do. The host met us at the airport and we immediately went to the grocery store to stock up for a few days. So after spending $55-70 our breakfast and lunch was covered for 3-4 days at least.(Be ready to spend a little more than you are used to on food) Another great day was when we took our Jeep over to St. Johns. From Red Hook (30-40 min drive) we took the barge over to Cruz Bay. The ferry cost $50, but it was worth it. We could go on and on. If your ready to spend some quality time with your significant other, at a quaint, newly renovated cottage tucked away on an exciting island in the Caribbean, then book your next vacation at Estate Pearl. Watch out for the cool breezes,and warm hospitality because the island life may grab you and not let you go back to reality.

Romantic and Relaxing!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in this luxurious, yet charming, cottage. The cottage is elegant for its beautiful decor and furnishings (stainless steele appliances and granite countertops!), yet it maintains a cozy and comfortable feel. We really loved coming back here after a day at the beach because it is cool and breezy. A lovely escape after a day a the beach. We also love to cook and really enjoyed the fully functional and fully stocked kitchen. There is even a glass blender to make tasty tropical drinks! We had complete privacy. Yet, the owners, Mike and Claire, were always right there if we had a question about where to dine or snorkel. They are wonderfully gracious people. We just loved this place and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, private and beautiful place to stay! We hope to go back for many anniversaries to come.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here, and highly recommend it to anyone interested. The hosts were always available, yet particularly respectful of our privacy during our whole stay. The cottage itself is a dream... the pictures try, but it would be impossible to capture the overall ambiance of the cottage. It is amazing to be able to go back at the end of the day and have a real homebase with a real kitchen and space to unwind- something one could not do in a hotel room. We also saved a considerable amount by shopping for food and cooking in. The cottage is located in an area that is very private, with a short ride into town- or a scenic drive to the east side of the island. Our host had several activity books and suggestions on things to do, and there are plenty. He also has special rates negotiated for several activities that apply only to guests at the cottage. We enjoyed everything, but in particular we enjoyed Horseback Riding on St. John with Dana at Carolina Corral. All in all this was a wonderful experience, and most of it can be directly attributed to our hosts and our great stay at the cottage.

Feb. 20-28, 2010. We had a wonderful stay at the St. Thomas Cottage, and felt the accommodations surpassed our expectations. The cottage is spacious, clean, airy and beautifully decorated. With a modern kitchen, two bathrooms, spacious living room/dining area, large bedroom and huge deck complete with deck furniture, this place is well priced. The grounds are lush, private and safe. Claire and Mike are friendly and knowledgeable and offer advice when requested, but in no way make their presence noticeable. We really appreciated Mike meeting us at the airport, stopping for beer and snacks, and leading us to their property. Thanks for contributing to our vacation time in St. Thomas. My husband and I rented the cottage for 10 nights in January and were very pleased. This cottage is very spacious and well-appointed and was the perfect place for us to spend our time in St. Thomas. The retreat-like setting is a welcome haven away from the cruise ship atmosphere in town. We found the kitchen well equipped for gourmet cooking and enjoyed many meals there. Mike is a great landlord who is intent on making everything perfect for his guests and we were really comfortable. I would very highly recommend staying at this cottage!

My husband and I really enjoyed and appreciated out stay at this lovely cottage in St. Thomas. We looked forward to coming here at the end of the day or coming home early, fixing supper, and relaxing in this clean, beautifully decorated place. Mornings and evenings were especially nice with a constant breeze. The owners, Mike & Claire are wonderful people; honest, kind, and helpful.
