Loft 2c is the #1 rated vacation rental in Brooklyn on Tripadvisor's Popularity Index.
Welcome to exciting Brooklyn - the hotbed of New York City's creative culture. Over the last 10 years, the "better borough" has become the epicenter of the city's music and art scenes. Carroll Gardens, one of Brooklyn's most beautiful brownstone neighborhoods, is full of street life. Smith Street, its main drag, is a trendy restaurant and boutique row. Only 15 minutes away from Manhattan, it's the perfect home base for exploring the city.
Loft 2C is one of fourteen lofts in a converted milk distribution building. A corner apartment, Loft 2C has windows on two walls overlooking quiet backyards. We like to open the industrial metal French doors on a sunny day. Our 11 foot high ceilings add to the airy, light space. We recently renovated the apartment, bringing together our love for modern, clean lines and hand-crafted antiques.
Kitchen: The open kitchen puts you in the center of the action. We poured the concrete for our countertops as one of the final touches on our renovations! Our kitchen boasts high-end GE stainless steel appliances, including a silent dishwasher. Enclosed in the cupboards are all the appliances that make cooks happy!
Bathroom: Our bathroom is designed for true unwinding at the end of a New York City day. The modern white porcelain and chrome bathroom fixtures pop against the slate gray tiling on the floors and walls. The true gem of the bathroom, though, is the jacuzzi bathtub, perfect for a bubbly soak at the end of the day.
Bedroom: With a nine foot tall sliding pocket door that separates the bedroom from the rest of the space, the bedroom is designed to be the quietest corner of our home. Light filters in through a window that overlooks backyards, as well as through a long frosted glass transom window at the top of the dividing wall between the bedroom and the rest of our apartment. It’s a perfect place for sleeping, and just as perfect for waking up!
Loft Area: Perfect for kids or visiting friends, the loft area makes great use of our high ceilings. There’s a full sized mattress, which comfortably sleeps two, leaving plenty of space to spread out at the front of the carpeted loft. The loft is not quite four feet high, making it a perfect play space for kids or secondary sleeping space for grown ups. The steps up are a little steep, so it's not ideal for older visitors, but all our friends sleep in this cozy space when they visit us.

Why the Owner Chose Brooklyn
We love Brooklyn, and we’re not shy about showing our admiration for the “Better Borough.” We especially love our own neighborhood, Carroll Gardens. Carroll Gardens, and its nearby neighborhoods, is full of charming blocks of the classic Brooklyn you know so well from movies and photo shoots. Smith Street and Court Street, the neighborhood’s two primary thoroughfares, are lined with dozens of amazing restaurants, bars, bakeries, classic Italian meat stores, and gourmet food stores. Carroll Gardens is also home to dozens of independently owned boutiques, boasting beautiful jewelry, shoes, bags, men’s and women’s clothing and fantastic housewares. Loft 2C is, quite literally, across the street from a subway entrance. Both the F and the G trains stop at Carroll Street for a 15 minute train ride to Manhattan and a 20 minute train ride to Williamsburg (hipsterville), Brooklyn. Whether you plan to spend the day wandering around Fort Greene’s Designer Flea Market, Park Slope’s Farmer’s Market or the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, our home makes for a great base to enjoy Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and New York beyond.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
Our loft is our home for most of the year. We are both young professionals with an appreciation for clean modern design with some warm, rustic touches. Architects and designers will feel right at home in the space. The open layout, tall ceilings and large windows make the space feel huge.
