Gorgeous 4 bedroom home in quiet Cedar Park neighborhood in North Seattle, just above Lake Washington. Sweeping views of the lake from the dining room, kitchen, living room, deck and master BR. With lots of space to stretch out, this house sleeps 8 and is much larger than most Seattle homes.
FALL/WINTER WEEKEND SPECIAL: $325/night, Friday a.m. to Sunday p.m., 2-night minimum
Built in 1931, the house has period details such as mahogany trim, coved ceilings and built-ins, but has been upgraded with new windows, a fully-renovated kitchen and master bath, and a more open layout. The location is much quieter than most city neighborhoods, but is still very convenient to downtown Seattle (15 minutes), Childrens Hospital, UW, I5, Magnuson Park, the Northgate and Lake City areas, and is on a dead end street with very little traffic. Traffic, in general, tends to be much lighter in this part of town. The Burke Gilman bike/foot trail that goes around Lake Washington is just down the hill from the house.
Large windows let in lots of eastern and southern light. The deck is furnished and has a charcoal barbecue. The first floor has a TV-room/library with a piano, a full bath, and a large, extended living room along with new kitchen and a spacious dining room with a table that can accommodate up to 10 diners. The LR has a wood burning fire place.
There are 3 BR's on the second floor, including a master suite with a master bath and lake view deck. The whole house is served by wireless broadband Internet access.

Why the Owner Chose Lake City
We bought our Seattle home to be close to Lake Washington and the Burke Gilman trail, and in a location that is not only much quieter than most in-city neighborhoods, but which also has convenient access to many areas of North Seattle as well as downtown.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy the sweeping views of Lake Washington from many rooms in our home, easy access to the Burke Gilman bike trail, and the quiet and solitude of being a little further from the inner city. Across the lake from our house is a large park, so there are fewer lights at night. You almost feel like you're on a rural lake.
