Our mountain home is comfortably furnished and perfect for a large family or a group of friends. The “ Cabin” is located on the west end of Donner Lake (150 ft from the lake) with easy access to all kinds of play and just 5 minute walk to the beaches The main floor of the home features a large kitchen, dining area with table for 8, generous living room and a half bath. There is access two decks with a BBQ, chairs and tables for outdoor dining. The second level includes a large, recently remodeled sunny master suite with a generous sitting area, a large front bedroom with a queen bed and pull out couch, and two additional bedrooms with queen beds in each. There are two bathrooms upstairs and our mattresses, furniture and furnishings are all high quality to create a cozy home. There is a laundry room with washer/dryer, TV/DVD, internet and a two car garage as well. The home is about 10 years old and well maintained.
Summer fun includes true alpine beaches on Donner Lake, Donner Lake boat launch, rental Jet Ski’s and kayaks, fishing, miles of hiking trails, rafting, rock climbing, fantastic cycling for both road and mountain bikers, etc. Guest pass for the West End Homeowner's Beach is available - small fees for the use of this great beach will apply.
The town of Truckee with groceries and restaurants is 10 minutes away while Lake Tahoe and Reno are approximately 25-40 minutes drive. Donner Lake is located just off Highway 80, approximately three hours from San Francisco, 40 minutes from Reno.
