Whether you come to Southwest Michigan for a laid back vacation, or to experience all that Harbor Country® has to offer, we cannot wait to entertain you. Our vacation home in Sawyer is located about an hour and a half from downtown Chicago, or in the other direction, about forty minutes from South Bend.
In the immediate vicinity are wineries, antique stores, specialty shops, art galleries, restaurants, beaches, public golf courses, fun places for the kids and a casino. Restaurants abound in the area and Sawyer is home to Fitzgerald’s, Soe and Pablo’s. Downtown Sawyer is home to the new Greenbush micro brewery.
Stay here for Notre Dame Football weekends. Great place for a "girls" weekend or a "guys" getaway. Also available for Thanksgiving weekend.
If you are a stay-at-home-vacationer, our home is fully furnished and has a wonderful cooking kitchen with all new appliances, two dining rooms and a screened in gazebo (with wood burning fireplace). The Sawyer Home & Garden Center is within walking distance and has just about everything you will need in the way of groceries, fresh fruits and vegetables, specialty foods, beer and wine. For lazy days, we have a video library, cable tv, board games, wi-fi and a six-person hot tub.

We rented the house for a wedding weekend, and it was awesome. We will definitely come back, esp with Greenbush brewery walking distance. It is a must to go visit. Thanks again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
