THIS IS A YEAR ROUND VACATION HOME. SEASONAL RATES APPLY AS OF OCT 1, 2009. $1700/WEEK; $1000/2-DAY WEEKEND; $1100/3-DAY WEEKEND. (HIGH SEASON RATES APPLY FOR THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS.)
Whether you come to Southwest Michigan for a laid back vacation, or to experience all that Harbor Country® has to offer, we cannot wait to entertain you. Our vacation home in Sawyer is located about an hour and a half from downtown Chicago, or in the other direction, about forty minutes from South Bend.
In the immediate vicinity are wineries, antique stores, specialty shops, art galleries, restaurants, beaches, public golf courses, fun places for the kids, and a casino. Restaurants abound in the area and Sawyer is home to Fitzgerald’s, Soe, Pablo’s and Tony’s Diner.
In season, we will greet you with flowers from our garden and you can pick grapes from our vineyard.
If you are a stay-at-home-vacationer, our home is fully furnished and has a wonderful cooking kitchen with all new appliances, two dining rooms and a screened in gazebo (with wood burning fireplace). The Sawyer Home & Garden Center is within walking distance and has just about everything you will need in the way of groceries, fresh fruits and vegetables, specialty foods, beer and wine. For lazy days, we have a video library, cable tv, board games, wi-fi and a six-person hot tub.
We are taking reservations now for Thanksgiving (Nov 26-29), Christmas (Dec 24-27) and all the weeks and weekends in between.
