Owner's Profile
Owner Description
We purchased in the area due to its proximity to the beach and Eastern Lake. Every year we fall in love with the area we have chosen. It is away from all the hustle and bustle of Seaside, but then close enough to visit by foot or bike. The Eastern Lake area is home to many nesting sea turtles and we have had the benefit of exploring turtle nests with local Turtle Watch experts. The gulf and coastal lakes are full of life and we love kayaking out in the areas to embrace these wonderful blessings!
The Unique Benefits of this House
Our home is very comfortable and relaxing for a family or romantic getaway. Our location is a plus due to its quiet location, but closeness to the beach, restaurants, bike trails and kayaking.

We had a wonderful time at 4 girls and a daddy. The house was immaculate. The house was perfectly comfortable for my mother/3 older childern/my husband and brother. The location awesome, just a easy walk on a low trafficed street to beach/lake and pool. I let my 15, 12 and 9 years walk by themselves. My kids love the beach/lake and the all the wildlife. The owner was always available to answer questions in a timely manner. The photos were accurate, except they showed a telescope and hammock in pictures and these were not in the house. I would suggest to the owner providing more beach equipment, for example, umbrella, coolers, beach towels, since most people driving do not want to bring with and back home. Also, no local tv stations or cable. This was an annoyance due to the fact that we wanted to keep abreast of the local news. We did not know the weather or the happens on the oil in gulf. Overall, we had a great time. I would highly recommend renting bike and kayahing from Sunny Days, the owner of the company extremely accomadating. The information provided by owner about the area and the local attrations was extremely helpful. We escepecially enjoyed the houses proximity to Seaside. It was great to ride bikes to area for outdoor entertainment and ice cream. I would also reccomend getting seafood from Goatfeathers. We will definately come back. Jennifer Smith
Owner response:We are always happy to provide a wonderful place for people to stay and to assist in making fond family memories, as we did for the Smith family. We did provide a brand new large gas grill with a full tank of propane gas at no additional charge, especially for this family's stay. Unfortunately, we did not know of the problem with the local television stations until after their three week stay. This has since been corrected. The hammock had been removed because of potential safety risks. The telescope was removed due to future renters having toddlers and the fear for the toddlers' safety. The pictures of these items are not posted on our VRBO site nor are they listed on our site. Seagrove Beach has plenty of beach stores in the area that sell beach towels and beach related items to make a beach stay enjoyable. It is important to note that our beaches are a favorite for sea turtles to nest, specifically loggerhead turtles. We were fortunate recently to see five of those nests all within one mile walk from our house. Therefore, it is important that no items are left on the beach, so the baby turtles can make it to the gulf safely. Marilyn Whitmer, owner

Wow! What a wonderful place to relax and connect with family and grandchildren. When my daughter and her family drove up, my "almost six year old granddaughter" said "I know this is the most beautifuliest (of course it's not a word but she made it one) house I've every been to. Everything was totally convenient for cooking, etc. The beds were so comfortable. That is not always the way it is when you rent a place. My two year old granddaughter was so compliant about not getting on the stairs. We all learned to play Chinese Checkers again! Hopefully, the beach will stay beautiful and we can return for a repeat "wonderful time."

As my husband and I drove up to 4 Girls and a Daddy, we said, "Wow, this is nice; it looks so new! We admired the high-ceilinged front porch with its expensive tropical dark-wood fans (more inside) and every room has a deck! When we stepped inside (sans shoes) we remarked on the bright rooms and high ceilings. It has beautiful decor, hardwood floors, fireplace, kitchen appliances nicer than our own, a comfortable king-size bed in the 'master suite' on the 2nd floor, also beautifully furnished, and a 3rd story 'Martini Lounge' room with an overstuffed comfy chair and matching ottoman. There are two decks on either side of the lounge. Since no house has been built on the lot to the side or back, and you're on a side street, we enjoyed the most peaceful beach stay ever. We've rented a lot of places that looked good online yet turned out to be a disappointment. To me, there's nothing worse than returning in the evening to a poor rental place after an enjoyable day of activities and dining. However, I always looked forward to coming back to 4 Girls and a Daddy...and you will, too.

The house was perfect & in our favorite area! We rode our beach cruiser bikes to breakfast, lunch & dinner. We spent the days at the beach kayaking, skim boarding at the inlet, picking seashells & building sandcastles. I look forward to my next stay at this house!

My family and I were the first ones to rent you beautiful beach home in the summer of 2009. Just what I expected beautiful and spotless. (and I am a very pickey person) We talk about how much fun we had on the beach, riding bikes, kiacking, and of course eating out at all the awesome restaurants near by. Pizza by the Sea and Flip Flops were 2 of our favorites. We can't wait to go back. I would recommend this house and this area to anyone. It is a very good area cause you are in the middle of Destin and Panama City.

We had a wonderful time at your vacation home. Something we weren't expecting was the inlet coming from the lake. Our children loved this area and spent hours looking for minnows and crabs. It's a great area for younger children to play. The house was immaculate and everything we needed was there (even a nonstick skillet) Seagrove Beach is the perfect vacation if you enjoy being with your family in a relaxed, quiet environment. Having no cable was a big plus - the kids didn't even notice. We played games and the kids had a great time!!!!
