In many people's opinion (read the guest comments at the end), this unit has the best LOCATION on Maui, the best LOCATION in Kahana, and the best LOCATION in the Royal Kahana. It's on the leeward side of the building to reduce the wind and giving you great oceanfront views of incredible sunsets, whale watching, and the islands of Lanai and Molokai.
This lovely one bedroom unit is situated on a half mile stretch of white sandy beach with very mild surf and shore, and has recently been completely refurnished and redecorated, including new hotel quality king size bed, new sofa-sleeper with 6" mattress, and black-out drapes in the bedroom. The unit also comes with boogie boards, beach towels and straw beach mats, tennis racquets, and a cooler for the convenience of our guests.
The Royal Kahana has 2 lit tennis courts, 4 gas grills, an enclosed poolside cabana, ping pong tables, sauna, exercise room, free morning coffee, and an onsite Expedia activities center/concierge. Across the street is Kahana Gateway Plaza, a small shopping mall with several great restaurants such as the famous Roy's of Kahana , Black Angus, and Reilley's Steaks, Maui Brewing Co., a coffee shop, Maui Dive Shop, a Whaler's convenience store, a McDonalds, and several other shops. Lahaina, Kaanapali, and Kapalua are minutes away, as is many world class beaches (D T Fleming beach is just north and has been voted one of the best beaches in the world).

Why the Owner Chose Kahana
After going to several different islands and locations in Hawaii, I found that the unique characteristics here in Kahana suited me the best. The Royal Kahana is about as close to the ocean as you would want to get (indeed, all new properties are required by law to be hundreds of feet away from the coast for public access). There is a country feel here in Kahana that you don't get anywhere else, yet you are so close to the large resorts.

I had dreamed about owning a second home in Hawaii for many years, and finally the dream has come true. I love it here, at any time of the year. I have traveled alot and live in a great area, but am always looking forward to my next trip to Maui.
