Our house has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, an updated kitchen, just remodeled master bedroom/bath, hot tub, wifi, and plenty of storage for gear. It's 1700 sf, with a living room, dining room and den that offers plenty of space to hang out. Comfortably furnished, well-insulated and warm. There is a washer/dryer, plenty of linens, and a dining table for 10 people.
The house is located on the edge of Meyers, which is a small town 4 miles south of South Lake Tahoe. Only 35 minutes to Kirkwood, and 15 min to Sierra-at-Tahoe or Heavenly ski resorts.

The house is located within minutes of some of the best snow skiing in the West. The neighborhood is quiet, a short walk and you are strolling through a vibrant meadow watching bluebirds sing and squirrels hopping from pine tree to weeping willow. As you make your way you will end up sitting on a sandy beach along the Truckee River.

We just spent a holiday weekend at the Conifer House and it was wonderful! It is the perfect house for people with families. The rooms are spacious. And the living area is very large with a direct line of sight at all times-great if you have little ones. There are 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms. The fourth bedroom in the back made the perfect "kids" room. It's the farthest room from the living room so us adults could stay up long past the kids with out worries of waking them. House was very clean as was the hot tub. A man even came to dig the hot tub out of the snow!! Nice quiet neighborhood away from the hub bub of South Lake, but close enough to drive if that's what you're in the mood for. Lots of open areas for snow playing and a snow mobile park right down the street. Can't wait to try that out next time. Looking forward to another family vacation next year at the Conifer House!

We rented this house for New Years 2011 and absolutely loved it. The house is large and has a very comfortable layout. There were plenty of linens and towels and the kitchen had all the necessary appliances. Additionally the house is in convenient driving distance from Lake Tahoe Blvd and Heavenly ski resort (15min), The state line was a tiny bit farther but still in close proximity. I can't forget to mention the HOT TUB, BBQ, and Fireplace, all perfect additions to our stay at the Conifer house. The bottom line is we felt at home, the house is well taken care of and we look forward to staying here again.

My family has been here on several occasions and found it to be the perfect place to stay while in the Tahoe area. There is plenty of room for us to spread our wings and relax. It is within walking distance to a lake where the family can swim and relax. It is also within walking distance to a stream (probably a river in the springtime) where the kids can play. There is a BBQ in the backyard for grilling and and chilling. And of course, what rental in the Tahoe area would be complete if it weren't close the slopes? A few minute down the road is Heavenly Ski Resort. Great skiing! So if you are looking for a place that has it all, wintertime or summertime, then this is the place for you. We make it a point to go here at least once a year.

We've stayed here twice now, once in May (six inches of snow on the ground) and again in July. We had a great time on both visits, as did our toddler. Lots of space, decent kitchen, quiet surroundings, views of the mountains, and walking distance from a nice little cafe/bar in nearby Meyers. And did I mention the hot tub? With two living rooms, lots of bedrooms, a DVD player, wi-fi, washing machine, and dryer, this clean, spacious low-level house would suit a group or a family equally. Use it as a base to explore the lakes, beaches, and ski resorts, or hole up for a cosy week in the mountains.

My group stayed here on August 27, 2010 for two nights and we a great stay - a home away from home. The house had everything we needed; the rooms were spacious, there were plenty of bathrooms, the hot tub was relaxing, the backyard was enormous, the wi-fi connection was fast, the kitchen was fully equipped and the layout of the house was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better house to accommodate all of us. We did forget to bring a couple of items, but we quickly found the house already had the things we needed. The proximity to the casinos and shops was a lot closer than we thought too. The owners are awesome – they were extremely quick to respond to my phone calls and emails. We will definitely be staying here again! Thanks again…
