Why the Owner Chose Nautilus
This is a unique island, with gulf front on one side and inter-coastal water way on the other... we love taking walks on the beach or putting our boat in on the inter-coastal side and exploring. We move up to one of the many little deserted island's, sunbath, fish and have a picnic... Sometimes we go by boat to restaurants in nearby towns... So bring your boat or rent one for a small fee at the local boat rental place...
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Just 54 steps to sinking your feet in the sand...
White sugar beaches with emerald color water...
Searching for shells? after landing your feet in the sand turn right and keep going past the condo's and around the bend... happy searching...
Leave your umbrella's and chairs out if you like, we do!

Great Get-Away

We spent a week at this property. It's very clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious. There are three bedrooms (two have private baths). And a full kitchen with everything you need. The condo is right on the beach. You can't see the ocean for the dunes, but you can see a beautiful sunset every night from the back patio. Being just steps from the walkway to the beach, we enjoyed many long afternoons on the ocean, reading and relaxing. You have a choice of walking on the beach or the nice sidewalk in front of the condo. There's a quick store nearby to purchase newspapers and other items. Everything is close by and comfortable. With the exception of a broken knob on the clothes dryer, everything worked well. Each day you can rent chairs and an umbrella on the beach. The cost is reasonable and there are many chairs available. The Bistro 215 in downtown Fort Worth (very close) was excellent. The owner was very helpful and flexible (we added one more day to our trip). Mid-October is a great time to go to this area!

We enjoyed every minute of our time in this condo. The floor plan and bedrooms are great for families. The children in the group ages 4, 2, and 1 loved the pool and the proximity to the beach. The location on the first floor was also super convenient when packing and unpacking. The owners were great to work with and made the reservation process a breeze. This was our group's first trip to the beach, and we are already talking about going back next year. The Okaloosa Island location is also great since you are close to the attractions in Fort Walton Beach & Destin.
Owner response:Thank you so much for your kind words! I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and liked the island. Suggestions for things to include in the condo are always welcome. Thanks again, Zoë

The condo is absolutely gorgeous, and we couldn't ask for anything better! From the television to the linens to the kitchenware, we had everything we needed for a perfect long weekend. However, the air conditioning was broken, and the outside temperatures were cooler at 80 degrees than it was inside the condo. Maintenance was called, but they were not able to find or rectify the problem. Zoe has offered to allow us to stay a different weekend, and we can't wait to go back, and really enjoy this fabulous rental. The "FAIR" rating, is only because we were absolutely miserable each evening, it was so hot, and we had to leave early.
Owner response:Hello Joe and Phyllis, Thank you for submitting your review... We hope that your next stay will be cool and relaxing and thank you for being so understanding :o) We had maintenance top up the freeon, thinking this would solve the A/C unit suddenly not cooling properly twice during your stay. The delay in someone coming out late that night and early the next morning is that our maintenance person had a family emergency and was at the hospital. However, after looking on the roof where the unit is kept we have discovered that the entire unit is so corroded from the sea air, it needs to be completly replaced! This will be done in February ready for the hot Summer months... :o)

This was our second stay at this condo. I highly recommend it for parents with small children and teenagers...everyone has their own space. My 4 and 5 year old are safe on the balcony without supervision. The teenagers even had their own bath! The living area is huge with lots of seating when it's time to eat. We had my hubby's family for dinner and were able to feed 16 people with plenty of room to spare! We love the condo and the owners are great to work with! We'll be back for our third stay Christmas 2010!!!!
Owner response:For your next stay we have added a few things.... An under counter wine cooler, a croc-pot, some new oven to table serving dishes and some ramikins and a large screen television in the living room. Hope you enjoy! :o)

This is our second stay in this wonderful condo. We just love all the private bedrooms and bathrooms. The big kitchen is great too. Everything is always clean and the decor is awesome and cozy. The t.v.'s in all 3 bedrooms helps too. Not that we watched a lot of t.v. with the view of the beach. We love being able to step out of the condo right onto the sand. WOW!! Can't wait to get back.

What a wonderful place to stay! Everything was so comfortable and convenient... it was like staying in my own home, only at the beach! The view was beautiful and the beach easily accessible. It's definitely quite the value. We look forward to staying there again in the future!!!

We had a great time here in Ft. Walton Beach. The condo was beatiful. The best accomodations we have ever stayed in at the beach. We hope to return again in the future, maybe next time the water wont have all the seaweed in it. Thank you so much Steve and Zoe.

This is our second stay in this condo, and we have been coming here for 15 years. It is so nice that it's always booked! This is one of the nicest condo's we've stayed in. Too bad it's not available for next year's spring Break! Hope to see you (the room) sometime soon in the future! Thanks for the great condo! P.S. You have great taste in interior dsign and decor! Especially the yellow and white striped pillows! They are so comfy.
