Just wanted to say thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had an absolutely WONDERFUL weekend with college friends and their families and repeatedly remarked throughout our stay how perfectly laid out your house is for our crew (the bonus room over the garage keeps the kids from being constantly underfoot and is ideal for early risers). We are already looking forward to our 3rd annual trip for next january/feb.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had an amazing stay at this property! We arrived at night and in the dark, so we couldn't see much on the way to the place... but were overjoyed with the beauty of the home and all that it offered. The next morning we were awoken by an absolutely stunning view! We would have been satisfied if this gorgeous home if it would have been located anywhere- but the placement on the mountain and the unbelievable view it offered was so breathtaking and humbling, we barely wanted to leave the house! Of course, we couldn't resist exploring the surrounding areas and towns and there were many places nearby to explore- to go antiquing, apple picking, hiking, and eat delicious food! Vermont is truly just food for the soul- especially when in its glory of its gorgeous Autumn foliage. Our stay here was so tranquil, peaceful, refreshing, and wonderful... we definitely hope to go back again soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

We rented this home for a gathering of old friends from high school and college, looking for a relaxing and isolated mountain weekend. The house was not only perfect for what we were looking for, it exceeded our expectations! The house description is very accurate, and the photos do not do it justice - the home, the location, and the view are all incredibly beautiful. Isolated enough to have complete privacy, but close enough to Manchester and Rutland to take advantage of local activities. The owners of the home were a pleasure to deal with, very accomodating and professional - just great people! We had an excellent time, and definitely plan on coming back some time in the near future! Thanks so much!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a wonderful week at your lovely home, thank you so much. The house was great -- the kitchen was better equipped than any rental I've stayed in, the beds were comfortable, the game room was loved by children and parents alike, and having so much space both inside and outside was absolutely fabulous for our whole group.Did you find this review helpful? This house is awesome! We do an annual family ski weekend every year for the past 15 or more years. We have stayed at many different houses. This house is bar far the best. The house is beautifully decorated and the game room/den is a big plus. The bedrooms all have big comfortable beds and the kitchen is fully equipped with a large dining table. Several major ski resorts are all about a half hour away and this year some of our group went snowmobiling on the Vermont trail system.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

We enjoyed a lovely week-long multi-family reunion at this beautiful house. The house was very clean and extremely well maintained. It definitely felt more like a home than a rental property. The house is an ideal getaway for either a multi-generational family or multiple families with children (in our case, ranging from 3 to 10 years old). Our group has been getting together for 5 years, in various locations in Maine, Cape Cod, etc. and this was the best place we have stayed in. It had a very comfortable and practical layout, with plenty of room for our large group. The large and well-stocked game room, somewhat separate at one end of the house, was perfect for kids’ play area, while the grown-ups enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen, and relaxing in the handsome living room in front of the fireplace. Many a nice meal were enjoyed at the large dining table! This house has a splendid setting with completely unobstructed views of the wooded mountain side across the valley. The property is not only scenic but well-suited for a range of outdoor activities from soccer to sledding for the kids, walking, hiking and exploring. Night time star gazing is a must! The owners were easy to communicate with, informative, responsive and very helpful.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.

There was a large group of us in VT from St. Louis for a friends 40th birthday bash. We all needed lodging and I think our group hit the jackpot. This is a great house for someone with a large family or, as in our case, several families staying together. We all had our own space and privacy and when we weren't sleeping, sightseeing or "birthday-bashing" it we spent the rest of our time sitting on the front porch or around the firepit, rocking in the chairs and enjoying each others company. We had WAY too much fun and are all counting down the months until we all return next year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Vermont house. We could not have had a better time anywhere else. We shared the house with another family. There was the perfect amount of bedrooms to accomodate several couples and kids yet set up to have just enough seclusion and privacy. The house is well maintained, tastefully decorated and had such a relaxing homely feeling. I loved the dining room table. It was perfect for having a large group over for dinner or for family game nights. The kids loved the game room too!. Our 3 week stay was perfect. It is conveniently located close to Manchester, the horse show and many fabulous restaurants. The view is incredible during the day and at night everyone would lay out in the grass staring up at the amazing night sky. It was like a dream. I've never seen so many stars or shooting stars. I miss sitting on the front porch in the morning with my cup of coffee looking at the beautiful mountains and breathing in the crisp cool fresh air. Thank you again for your sharing your beautiful home with us. It was a pleasure working with you and we can't wait to return!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

Had a fabulous time with all the high school "Betty's" in Danby, all 10 of us. We could not have asked for a better location and house. We had plenty of room when we all needed a breather, if you know what I mean! So much to do up there, some skied, hiked and even went to the spa... a little something for everyone. Can't wait 'til next year!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
