Island Blue is a 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath (sleeps 11) luxurious home that has been professionally decorated and just promotes relaxing. It has 4 huge porches with views of the East Pass, Destin Harbor and a glimpse of the Gulf of Mexico. There is a private salt water pool with a lanai area when you can hang out in the shade. Along the side of the house there is a gas grill and hammock as well as an outdoor shower. (Please see the link to our web site with additional photos and info just under the calendar below.)
The main living area is very spacious with seating for 12. There is a stereo system that allows you to plug in your iPod and enjoy your favorite music by the pool and in the main living area. The kitchen has everything you would need to put together and serve a gourmet meal. There is an extra ice maker in the laundry room so you will always have ice for your beach cooler.
The Master Suite and Guest Suite both have king beds and private bathrooms with access to a large porch. There is a "boys" room with a queen bed and its own bath room across the hall. The "girls" room has a total of 5 single beds (bunk bed, day bed and two trundle beds). It has a beautiful porch with a bench swing and view of the East Pass and the Lake Caroline across the street. There are two Rinnai tank less hot water heaters so you will never run out of water while everyone take a shower after a day at the beach. Every bedroom has it's own TV.
The neighborhood, Destin Pointe, is a private gated community with 24x7 security guards. There are two lakes on the property, tennis courts (85 yards away) and two community pools. It is a short walk to the Gulf beach (~450 yards) and even shorter to the East Pass beach (~250 yards) where you can snorkel or pull up your jet ski; or you can make a phone call and a neighborhood shuttle service will pick you up and drop you off where needed (9-5 everyday).

My wife Rhonda and I live in Atlanta and have been visiting the Destin beaches for years and years. We fell in love with Destin Pointe due to its island location with easy access to the Gulf, the East Pass and snorkeling and the Destin Harbor.
Why the Owner Chose Destin Pointe
It is so nice to be on the island. 98 can be so crowded but we can just cross 98 at Gulf Shore Drive to get to Target or the Winn Dixie and we can have everything we need to go back and enjoy a nice quiet island get away. There are two lakes in Destin Pointe and bird watching is always interesting. The jetties along the East Pass are a great spot for fishing. If nothing else, you can sit and watch the fishing boats come and go through the East Pass all day. Watching the sun set over the water at the East pass is also a nice thing to do.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Our home has a very private courtyard with a saltwater pool in the back. The home is decorated to the 9's and has the ability to connect a computer or iPod to play music throughout the main living are and by the pool. The side beach (by the East Pass) is a short walk away and is always "calmer" than the Gulf. It is also the location when the snorkeling cruises bring people to snorkel. There are two community pools (one heated) and a hot tub. There are also two lighted tennis courts (85 years from the house). Although it is only a short walk to the front beach (Gulf) of the side beach (East Pass), there is a shuttle that will pick you up and drop you off where you want. The neighborhood is private, gated and has 24x7 security. There are bike rentals available in the neighborhood.
