This quaint cottage sits on five historic acres in the Sautee Nacoochee Valley. It shares the property with the owner's home which is a renovated farmhouse built in 1908. There is a creek that runs through the front of the property and a large meadow in the back. There are many beautiful hardwood trees as well as plentiful wildlife. The terrine is gentle and good for walking. This cottage is secluded not isolated, perfect for newlyweds or couples. The Chattahoochee River is approximately one mile from the cottage.
Sautee is located 1 1/2 hours NE of Atlanta and 2 hours south of Ashville, NC.
Always interested in a swap of properties.

Why the Owner Chose Sautee
This cottage or "Little House" as we refer to it was built by the owners in 1992 after renovations were finished on their farmhouse. The cottage was furnished as a guest house for friends and is extremely attractive and comfortable. The property sits two tenths of a mile away from the main road and is very quiet and serene.

What a remarkable place to be! Just returned from 2 months at Linda's piece of heaven on earth! Could not have asked for a more relaxed, comfortable home and a better new lifelong friend! So serene, beautiful and relaxing. Huge rocking chairs on the porch provided hours of fun just watching the hummingbirds and listening to the little creek that runs through the property. We have a large dog who was just as welcomed as we were! Great little patio off the dining area with both a gas a charcoal and a well appointed kitchen made dining "at home" a breeze and so much fun! Super easy trip to Cleveland, Clarkesville and Helen. If you like bustling crowds (which I don't), Helen is about 2 miles away. Close to Unicoi, Lake Burton, Rabun County, Gainesville, Atlanta...seems so far away yet so close to everywhere! The bed is super comfortable, house is just lovely and Linda is the best! A very personable, charming woman who respects your privacy but is quick to respond to any reasonable need. She knew we were spending a lot of time on the porch and it was warm and the ceiling fan was a little small (we never said a word about it) so being the sweetheart she is, she had the nicest young man come install a new, wonderful Hunter fan! I can say, without a doubt, this is my new "home away from home." My husband, our dog and I did not just stay there...we lived there! Can't wait to go back and enjoy the fireplace this winter! If you want privacy and convenience, this is your spot. I can honestly say I was healed while there. Life can be brutal...treat yourself to an escape to paradise!
