My extended family all stayed in Honeyfish for a week this past February. We had plenty of room for four couples and two children under two. The house is just as lovely as the pictures. Everything was very well maintained and thoughtfully appointed. We had a few small glitches with the house. The rental company that manages the house was very receptive and fast at responding to our needs (their office is just about 2 blocks away). We had to move a few chotchkies out of the reach of little people and put some plug covers in. Other than that, we had very few concerns about having small children there. The doors shut tightly, lock and there is an alarm on the door to the pool. The house is not on the beach, but it is right on a great view of the canals as they come together. Even though it was cool while we were there there was almost always someone out on the back patio enjoying the sun. The side patio and pool also have nice hedges around them to afford some privacy while all the benefit of the direct sun. The walk to the beach on either side of the island is extremely fast (and being at the end of the block it was very quiet and secluded). The house was very clean when we got there. The kitchen is huge and has PLENTY of space. The kitchen appliances are new and nice. The dining table has a nice self storing leaf if you want something smaller. There is a nice washer and drier (better than many you find in rental spaces). The small orchard has wonderful citrus trees that made for a restful quick walk or a fun play area for kids. The back patio is a lovely sitting area and the grill was great for our needs. Each bedroom has its own flat screen tv and all but one of the bedrooms has the bathroom en suite (the other is just outside the door.) The beds were pretty comfortable, particularly for a rental. I would recommend this place for any family getaway.

4 of us enjoyed 2 weeks, with flawless Florida weather, in the Honeyfish villa. The sedate pace of life, the perfect villa location and the friendly people combined to make this a truly relaxing "get away from it all" vacation. The amenities offered by the villa were perfect, from the deck, to the pool, to the kitchen, bedrooms and living room - everything was absolutley beautiful and conducive to total comfort and relaxation.

Although the weather was a bit chilly, overall we had a wonderful time together. Every evening we watched the sunset over the canal. The birds were friendly, visiting each day. Truly it felt like a second home for us all.
