  We had a great week staying at this condo - the location is excellent with a short walk to the beach and to shops/restuarants/starbucks! There are several beaches within a mile or so that offer surfing, snorkelling, boogie boarding - something for everyone. The condo was very well maintained, clean and spacious. We weren't in it much except for sleeping since there is so much to do on the island. We did feedback to Kim that there was only one beach chair and one boogie board there and that some more dishware would have been helpful and she has said she will address these matters. Our kids - 11 and 16 - had a great time - this is an ideal family destination.

  The condo met our needs perfectly. It was convenient and comfortable. The owners were easy to work with and made themselves available throughout the process of booking and our stay. Would happily recommend it to others. We had not been on Kauai in March and so thoroughly enjoyed the whale watching which was possible on shore and more dramatically available on Captain Andy's Sunset sail.

  Had a great time - this unit is perfect for 2 couples to share. Convienent to parking, short walks to just about everything around. This is the first time we've stayed in this unit and liked it very much. I noted that the roosters still cannot tell when it's morning, which is something we've experienced each time we've visited Kiahuna over the last 20 years.

  We had such a wonderful time. I grew up going to Kiahuna and it is just as I remember it . . . paradise. The condo we stayed in was perfect. Clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. It was perfect for our little family. We will definitely stay here again!!

  We stayed in the condo for 3 nights. The condo is nicely and comfortably decorated. Our kids loved the pool, perfect for young children (ours are 3 & 4 Years old). The pool has a perfect water slide and a rocky beach that is 1 1/2 ft, great for little kids and parents can sit and relax in the water while they safely play in the water. We walked across the street to the shopping center a couple of times, so convenient. We did experience cockroaches, and when we returned I did email Kim who was apologetic and very responsive. She immediately notified management and asked that they address the issue. Except for this unfortunate experience the condo was very nice and Kim was great to work with, so I would recommend the condo but encourage you to check with Kim to ensure she has addressed the cockroach issue. I regret not addressing the issue while staying in the condo as I think Kim and management would have taken care of the issue while we were there.

  Owner response: This is our first guest who has had any bug problems. Our management office has a regular pest control service that handles these issues - and they came back out and resolved the problem immediately. Please call me or the front desk right away if there are any unwanted pests so that we can fix the issue quickly, and you can enjoy your vacation!

  The condo was gorgeous and plenty of room for our family with triplet boys. The walk to the beach is very short and you even have a view of the beach from the upstairs balcony. It was wonderful having a full kitchen with everything you need.... Island prices for food are a bit higher than Texas so it was nice to eat at the condo for some meals. The beach at Kiahuna Plantation is very nice and safe even for 4 year old triplets and there are many surf lessons as well. I really liked that you can walk along the beach to the Poipu city beach area that has a playground and a protected shallow reef that is perfect for young children swimming. If you have kids, I recommend walking across the street to the Kiahuna tennis club because they have a nice pool with a really fun and big slide. Our boys loved the slide and wanted to go every day. The shopping village across the street is a very short walk where you can get your starbucks fix and there is a really nice restaurant with bands at night. There is also small but nice grocery store in walking distance too. So, this condo is great because it is in such walking proximity to everything! The condo was perfect and well decorated. There are wonderful breezes so it stays cool and at night even needed the blanket at times. Loved the place!!!

  This condo was the ideal accommodations for our family. My brother has been vacationing at the Kiahuna Plantation condos for nine years. This year three of my siblings and their families vacationed together. We rented four condos and had 20 in all, ages ranging from 10 - 20's and parents. We had 4 condos between us. We all had a fabulous time, the best memories were just hanging out with family, the cousins playing, side excursions and evening BBQs. My daughter and her fiancé, my younger, 10 year old daughter and my husband stayed in our condo and loved the roomy open feel. The beds were comfortable and the furniture was beautiful. Each of us four hosted a dinner - it was easy to prepare and serve dinner for 20 in the condo. My husband and I and my sister and her husband took advantage of the vow renewal ceremony which was wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone. It made our trip very special. We ate at the Plantation Gardens restaurant three times - my husband and I went on our anniversary, once all the adults from our group and once the whole group. Every time was superb. A group of us went on one excursion to the Wailua River where we kayaked for about 45 mins up the river, then hiked about 2 miles to the 'Secret Waterfall' which was breathtaking. We swam in the water and some stood under the waterfall. Our guide had packed in lunch - sandwiches, chips, cookies and carved a pineapple - all delicious. Also, our guide told us interesting facts about Kauai and trivia durning the hike. Then we hiked back to the kayaks and kayaked back to the dock. Another group went on a zipline which got rave reviews. We spent many, many hours just on the beach and in the water at the condos. The air temp ranged from 78 to 82 and the water a few degrees cooler. We only needed to use our goggles to see all the many, many beautiful fish and turtles! We had a few rain sprinkles, but they aren't very memorable because they never stopped us from doing what were doing at the time. A group of us took the surf lessons offered right at our beach. They were the best! Everyone caught waves! It was a very easy vacation to plan - once we made our reservations for the condo and airfare, that was about it. I did a little research on excursions but that was fun. There was something for everyone, all ages and you could do it all or just lie in the condo or on the beach and read. This was truly my idea of the perfect vacation.

  My family spent six wonderful days at this condo to celebrate my son's thirtieth birthday. The owners were very helpful and even made arrangements for a port-a-crib for my grandson to be in the unit upon our arrival. The condo is beautifully decorated and is very comforting and welcoming. I have stayed at Kiahuna many times over the years and feel that this condo provided the best experience I have had to date. If you are trying to decide where to stay, I highly recommend this one.

  Our boys ages 10 and 12 had never been to Hawaii before. Let's just say, they're ready to go back and we were just there last month. This condo is a very comfortable place to stay with kids. It's nice for them to have their own room and bathroom. Fixed breakfast most days in the condo, convenient to have all the kitchen necessities and can't forget the coffee pot! (We did go to Eggbert's one morning for breakfast) We rented DVDs from the local Redbox, played some Scrabble with the game in the condo. Beds were pretty comfortable. The condo feels roomy, there's a lot of space. Love the heavy-duty dining table. No flimsy table there! Nice location; can be a bit noisy with kids but not bad. Loved being across from Poipu Shopping Center. Keoki's Paradise is there, stop in for lunch in their open-air lagoon surroundings and order the Hula Pie for dessert! Close to the beach, walk thru the lovely orchid garden to get there and borrow towels and beach chairs. Snorkel equipment available for rent as well. Dad and 10 yr old saw lots of colorful fish out there. Kim is great to work with on all the details. Let's catch the next non-stop back to Lihue!!!! :)

  This condo is very nice. Everything is as described and the owner Kim is very accessible and easy to work with. This is our 3rd trip to Kauai and our 2nd time at Kiahuna. If you want a nice relaxing vacation and a very comfortable condo, rent Unit 221. We spent most everyday at the beach, which is a 2 to 3 minute beautiful walk from the condo. Parking was easy and it was very peaceful in the condo on the upper deck and lower patio. The kitchen is very well equipped and there are 2 very nice grills, 30 seconds from unit. If you have never been to this island, go!.....you won't be disappointed.
