Beautiful beach home with welcoming owners

This small beach house provided all of the comforts that we desired and some fabulous extras. The owners were attentive, helpful, and welcoming - even brought some beach toys for our son. We enjoyed waking up to the lake sounds, despite the marinas' activities. This did not detract from a relaxing week. The dock and lake access would be fine for older children, but these were a little more challenging for a toddler. We did enjoy the beaches just a short drive away. Thanks for a fabulous stay!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at the cabin on Lake Minnetonka. It was exceptionally clean and very farm and cozy for a vacation stay. The kids absolutely loved fishing off the dock every day and there were some great fish to catch! We didn't get to use the fire pit because of the weather but it was a great feature to have. My only complaint was that the water/dock area is not swimmable at all. The area around the dock is very weedy and there are two marinas on each side so it makes for a lot of boat traffic as well. We had a great trip anyways! :)
Owner response:I feel so bad you thought the lakeshore wasn't very good. I want everyone to be pleasantly surprised not disappointed! The guests the following week said it was fine, so I will need to check it again. The lakeshore is very sandy, but I know we've had weeds there before. We have had another application to the shoreline done, so hopefully that will take care of it. Again, my sincerest apologies, as I would definitely have given you a heads up if I thought the lake area wasn't clear.
