"The condo was really great! We had a great time up there. My sister and
family came up for a couple of days. She has a 5 yr old and an older son
with Autism so the slope going by the condo was perfect. When the older
son was tired they just popped inside."

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1999
Our primary residence is Massachusetts. We are currently ex-pats living overseas. While we are enjoying the European experience, we remain true to our beloved New England.
Why the Owner Chose Brownsville
We always loved the beauty and tranquility of Vermont. A different experience from other New England states, VT is relaxing, yet invigorating. We purchased this condo for its location on the mountain and its full resort amenities...without the hassles of maintaining a house.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We escape to Vermont to relax. Sometimes we never leave the resort--the great slopes right out our door are perfect for the whole family. We also work out on-site and catch up on reading. Other times, we head to Pico, Okemo, or Killington--all are just a short drive. We enjoy strolling through Woodstock, Weston, Hanover (NH), and other great towns. One of our favorite activities is the Montshire Museum--great for all ages and all seasons. We also like sampling the new brews down the road at Harpoon. Most of the time we go for a run or bike ride through Brownsville and enjoy the mountain views and the hilly workout! We also love the antiquing and the great conversations with the locals.

Visited Ascutney 3/19-3/21. I didn't think we would do much skiing because of the lack of snow this year, but was I wrong. They did a great job with what snow they had and groomed the trails at night. I think the location of the condo is in the best spot on the mountain. Ski right down to the lift and when your tired ski right to your door. The weather was so warm we actually went skiing and played tennis in the same day. The condo pictures posted are accurate and the king size bed was comfortable. We ate dinner at Simon Pearce in Queeche, It was amazing. Would definitely stay there again.

We really loved staying in this condo at Ascutney Mountain Resort. Our kids loved the mountain, and the very friendly and skilled ski school staff. My husband and I enjoyed snowshoeing on beautiful nearby trails. The condo was very comfortable and convenient. We had plenty of space and appreciated the WiFi. We look forward to returning!

Ascutney was a great mountain to ski at. Great terrain. Groomed and ungroomed. The location of the condo to the lift made getting started on the slopes really easy. When they say ski and ski out, they mean it! And the beds were actually comfortable. That is rarely the case. I would definitely go back!

We have stayed here before during ski season and loved the beautiful snow covered mountain views and enjoyed the convenience of skiing right outside our door! We went up again this past weekend and had a wonderful time hiking the mountain and enjoying the beautiful fall foliage and then taking a nice warm relaxing swim in the heated pool after the climb! The condo itself is very clean and homey, the kitchen was fully equipped for our needs which was truly appreciated after a trip to the brewery and farmer's market. The bedrooms are good size and very comfortable, plenty of closets for storage. The two full bathrooms were spotless and both were supplied with ample towels for everyone. The living room is fairly large and has a lovely fireplace that gives the room the feel of a cozy New England Inn. All and all a wonderful place to have fun and relax. Looking forward to going back!!!
