We have just returned from our week at Ecoute ton Couer. It was just as or more beautiful than the pictures on the site. Staff assisted us to the villa and kept it spotless all week. There are so many areas in the villa to sit and read or talk or just stare at the beautiful view that we barely felt it necessary to leave. When we did, we learned that St. Barts is unlike any other island in the Caribbean (this was our first visit). Pointe Milou was a great location to be on the island and this villa in particular was perfectly appointed and comfortable. We are already planning our next trip back.
Owner response:It is wonderful to cater to all our clients, but especially interesting for the first time visitor. We do our best to give pointers so clients will enjoy all that St Bart has to offer. St Bart is a special Island. Thank you. Michael & Arlene

We had the most incredible stay at L'Ecoute Ton Coeur. The house is magnificent and the panoramic views were breathtaking. The location was great -- as we were able to walk for cocktails and dinner to the Hotel Christopher if we didn't feel like driving. One week was not enough -- next time, we'll be going for two. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable -- every detail has been considered. I can't wait to return. Book this villa today!
Owner response:I am happy that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you so much for a great review. We too, enjoy the amenities of the Christopher hotel. A very convienient advantage for our guests. Michael

our trip to this wonderful villa was magical. this being our 13th trip but first to a villa will now change the way we return to our favorite island. the attention to detail on the layout and comfort of the spaces was luxurious and refined. having stayed in point milou many times before we were certain of the orientation but the location at this spot is private and very close to the sea. one will not be disappointed on their visit here. just unhappy upon leaving is your only regret.
Owner response:Such a pleasant and personal review. Thank you so much. It is important that Hotel goers, try a Villa. It is a pleasant surprise. Hope to see you again soon.

The title says it all. A beautifully cared for and maintained comfortable two bedroom villa with pool. Magnificent views and sunsets looking out at Lorient, St. Jean, and St. Marteen in the distance. Sits just above the Christopher hotel, walking distance for great lunch, dinner, and spa coming soon. 2 minute drive from the famous Ti St. Barth's (if you're looking for nightlife). Would definitely go back.
Owner response:It has been 8 years now that we are renting our Villa. I am always pleased to hear such positive reviews. We work hard to continually satisfy our clients. Thank you so much for helping us maintain our success. Hope to see you soon.

Over the course of our 2 weeks at the villa, we witnessed the perfect love nest being built by 2 sweet doves right above our bedroom door. It was lovely entertainment and we actually caught ourselves bidding the birds goodbye when we left. How simple life can be when we downshift into vacation tempo in such a beautiful, relaxing place. We have been coming to St. Barths for 30 years, and are still enchanted by the island....the colors, the weather, the relaxed life there. Ecoute Ton Couer is a very comfortable villa and we very much enjoyed being there. The attention to detail is evident, from the well appointed kitchen to the comfortable furniture...to the daybeds in the rear of the villa to escape the late afternoon sun. Although the villa has 2 bedrooms, we found it perfect for just the 2 of us as we like having the extra space. Another great feature is the water garden outside the bath as well as the waterfall in the center of the villa itself. We were close enough to the sea to hear the surf, but unfortunately that means being close to the small parking area below....although sitting in the villa itself (which is all open space) was a much better vantage point of the sea. The pool is small, but lying on the floats with the view of the sea was refreshing and pretty heavenly. Having the Christopher Hotel right there proved to be a plus, as we could walk over for drinks or dinner if we didn't feel like getting in our car to go out. The villa photos on the website are accurate, although one does not get a sense of how close to the road it is....even though the road ends one house away and it is a deadend. The villa was kept very clean 6 days a week by Aline, who was very respectful of our privacy. Michael, the villa's owner was attentive to our needs and I would definitely recommend this property to friends....but of course being a bit more descriptive of the location. Over 30 years we've seen a lot of changes on the island, although there's plenty that forever remains the same. For a wild Saturday night on the island, Le Ti St. Barths is a must. We had a fantastic cerviche meal at Bonito....a new restaurant, but the space has been one of our favorite spots in Gustavia forever! Also, L'Isola for a good Italian meal and we always take the pilgrimage to Viet Nam for Asian food and a change of pace from typical island dinners. We also had a great dinner at Christopher sitting on the terrace literally on top of the water. Enjoy!
Owner response:Thank you so much for this wonderful review. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay. The lovebirds (doves) have been there for many years. Usually, we have a hummingbird nest on the palm, next to the waterfall. Hope to see you again. Michael

My wife and I have rented private villas on a number of Caribbean Islands over the years, but we're done shopping around. Nothing in our price range has ever come close to Michael and Arlene's villa and we give it the highest possible marks across the board. The online pictures made it look incredible, but really don't do it justice. The view is phenomenal, the layout, furnishings, decor, infinity pool, fountain, sound system, cleanliness, and attentiveness of the local management are all superb. We had the added bonus of getting to meet Michael and Arlene since they'd been staying at the Villa prior to our arrival and they were as gracious and helpful in person as they were on the phone while we prepared for our trip. This is an absolutely fantastic place and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation, particularly a couple looking for a private, romantic getaway. We can hardly wait to come back.
Owner response:Michael, Sandra, thank you so much, for taking the time, to write this pleasant review for our villa. We are very happy that you enjoyed your holiday and enjoyed meeting you. Hope to see you again soon. Michael & Arlene

Staying at Ecoute Ton Coeur is like staying at the vacation home of favorite friends in the islands (provided one of those friends is a very successful designer with exquisite taste). Before and after our trip we had several e-conversations with the owner, Michael, who seemed genuinely engaged in making sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. Amidst the elegance and upscale attention to detail, it has warmth that pulls you into your surroundings. You can almost feel the stress and worries fall away. We loved the location, the privacy, the comfort, the lovely respite from the mid-day sun....just to mention a few of many things we treasured. It is ideally located to watch the glorious sunsets – close enough for a quick outing to town or the beaches, but far enough away from the lights of civilization that at night you’ll see a starry sky you’d forgotten existed! In fact, one of my favorite memories is skinny-dipping in the infinity pool at night, sipping Chardonnay and watching for shooting stars. Although we were alone, it is perfect for two couples because both bedrooms are located at separate ends of the house yet similar in size and décor with windows facing the ocean. For whom is it recommended? Anyone!! We are in our late 60s (are you thinking about the skinny-dipping now?) and thought it the perfect getaway. Whether you are an experienced traveler or on your first trip away from home, Ecoute Ton Coeur will not disappoint.

When you drive up to the villa you instantly experience a sence of relaxation. Once you are in front of the pool overlooking the view you now begin to understand those feelings. The view is absolutely breathtaking! The villa and its 4 star amenities are everything you could want and/or need on St. Barths. The bedrooms each have beautiful wood furniture with gorgeous bathrooms. The color schemes complement the gardens and flowers you see throughout the island. I would reccommend a stay at this villa to everyone from honeymooners to vacationers, it is just that amazing.
Owner response:I think this is the first review that actually describes colors blending with nature. Many thanks. So happy that you had a great experience. Michael

I had seen pictures of the villa before my husband and I stayed there on our honeymoon, but when we first set foot in the villa, we were blown away by how beautiful it actually is. The pictures don't come close to doing this place justice! The villa has the best view on the entire island; we always made sure to make it home for sunset each night! The villa is far enough removed from the attractions of the island if you want to just relax, yet close enough to hit all the thelocal hot spots. We especially enjoyed eating the the Wall House and having burgers and beers at Le Select. The villa is truly special and I would recommend it to anyone!

Calm Perfection in Paradise Stephen B. Washington, CT Date of Stay: December 2009 My wife and I and our young teenage children were looking for a much needed vacation to relax and recharge before Xmas and the New Year. We had vacationed on St. Barts for over 20 years but have never been more pleasantly surprised than with our stay at this perfect villa. In prior visits to the island we had come to expect and accept a rather relaxed level of quality and service when it came to villa rentals and luxury hotels. But when I first spoke to Michael, the owner, I sensed that this trip might be different - a caring attitude and concern with how he could assist to make our vacation flawless. Like a private concierge he suggested a rental car company that provided discounted cars that would meet us at our landing along with the villa manager who would then lead the way to the villa (and also monitored our flight and called to confirm our exact timing after our St. Maarten connection arrival). Was there anything else he could do - did we have any special needs - groceries to be stocked or a chef one night perhaps? Upon our arrival at the hillside villa in Pont Milou overlooking the Caribbean, I could not believe that this level of quality and design was achievable on St. Barts. There were two large suiles each with a private luxury bathroom furnished with luxury boutique hotel fixtures - the overhead rain showers, a full length glass window in one shower, and designer dual sinks; a "great room" living room overlooking the infinity pool, terrace, sea and sunsets; a chef's kitchen with new stainless appliances; a dining room and additional seating areas with two waterfall zen fountains. Everything was in mint new condition and the villa was spotless. A wonderful sound system, the perfect lighting, cocktails and 7 nights of perfect sunsets provided all that was needed for this idyllic vacation. The staff was exceptional and caring - the meticulous daily maid, the villa manager, the plant waterers, and the pool cleaner. Pont Milou is perhaps the best location on the island with the best homes, a wonderful luxury hotel/restaurant at the bottom (a short walk), spectacular cliffs and views from the top, and a short drive to a wonderful supermarket and french bakery and to the restaurants of busy St. Jean and Gustavia. We highly recommend this villa -it is the best experience we have ever had on St. Barts. We left calm and refreshed and hope to return again in fu

5 out of 5 Location, Location, Location... What a view!! brandi m Los Angeles, Ca Date of Stay: August 2009 What a perfect spot for a honeymoon. So private, yet a short drive to everything. The photos can't tell you how great the view is, you have to experience it yourself, preferably from the pool! We had a wonderful time. It's a gorgeous place and I'd would not be hesitant to say that it had the best view on the island. The pool was amazing. Your staff was exceptional and handled everything perfectly. Guillame, in particular, was stellar, he was so attentive. The maid was also very good and polite. A special thanks to Guillame for sorting out the refrigerator within a few hours of my request, because after he fixed it, it worked flawlessly. Ice cold. In hot climate like this, you want your wine COLD. All the lovely Bandols we had thank you. We have traveled extensively all over the world, and usually don't go to places multiple times as there are so many places to see, however, we may have to make an exception with this place. We came back calm and relaxed, which is a exceptionally valuable thing for people who live hectic lives. To be able to cook a meal with fabulous French ingredients and sit by the pool with some nice French wine, yet be in the Caribbean was welcome escape. Thank you for a wonderful place, I have a feeling we'll be back but with friends next time! -Brandi and Christian Recommended for: Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

Our First Stay at the Villa BobM Palm Coast, Florida Date of Stay: May 2009 This was our first trip to St Bart's as well as first experience renting a villa (vs staying at a hotel/resort). The experience was excellent and we would do it again. The description of the Villa on the website and teh amenities described were very accurate. The property was in a great location (at the end of the street with only Villa beyond the location, so there is considerable privacy). Everything was clean and very well maintained. The electronics were great (TV and stereo) and the Wifi worked well. The property maintenance was available as needed and were prompt and efficient. The location was 5 minutes from St Jean and 15 minutes from Gustavia (the main port city). I would recommend the property to a friend and plan on staying there again in the future. We have been to St. Barts four times now. It is a special isalnd that we have come to appreciate more with each visit. We just returned from our second stay at this villa in seven months and we are already discussing when we can return. The villa is top notch in every way. The pictures shown do not lie, the place is beautiful. Full of very hip design features and furnishings, not suprising the owner is a designer. The location on the island is excelent as well. The villa is very private yet not isolated. The view and sunsets are spectacular. Like a hotel, the maid comes daily, cleans, makes beds, does dishes, fresh towels if needed. The villa is well maintained in every respect, all the comforts of home and then some. Beach chairs, cooler, grill, there is even an access cord to plug your i-pod into the stereo system. You will not be disappointed. You also, will probably be back.

Simply Amazing!!!! Ryan & Tiffany Toms River, NJ USA Date of Stay: September 2008 We stayed in this villa for our Honey Moon! WOW! What more could we ask for, it was like living in a dream. Not one item was overlooked while designing this wonderful villa. Everything you need is there, from in the kitchen, to the stereo system, all you need to do is show up and enjoy! Although St. Barts has many amazing sights, our favorite part was enjoying the sunsets from the villa with a nice bottle of wine. It is almost like the villa was designed for this reason, the sun sets right in the middle of the infinity edge pool. I could go on and on about how amazing this villa and the island are but I will spare you the rambling. If you are looking for that once in a lifetime vacation, this is the place you will be talking about forever. We can not wait to return!! Visit to Saint Barth is always a wonderful experience. We have been visiting the Island for sixteen years. We have always stayed in Villas. This villa was exquisite, everything about the design, the dynamic view, accommodations, amenities, staff and the ease of getting in and out of. Private parking, with extra spaces for friends. Two shaded terraces, new outdoor furnishings. Overall, everything we wanted in a villa.
