Located in a quiet neighborhood a short one-and-a-half blocks to the ocean, our home was just built, and modeled after a vintage Nantucket beach cottage. We think you will agree that this home captures the essence of carefree beach living. Upon entering, you will find an eclectic potpourri of materials, textures and colors found in the best beach cottages around the world. A perfect combination of everything treasured in a family summer cottage, while still offering all the the bells and whistles you can't live without.
Beautiful combination living room, dining room, kitchen, offers an open floor plan conducive to family time spent together. The Gourmet Cook's Kitchen has rustic Knotty Alder cabinets, Soapstone and Maple butcher block counters, authentic farm sink, Viking 36" gas range and Kitchen Aid stainless steel appliances...best of all, there is a sunny kitchen window looking out onto the lush landscaped front patio.
Step out onto the patio through eight feet tall french doors, to enjoy alfresco dining, enjoy your morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. On cool evenings warm yourself by the outdoor heat lamp, or the living room gas fireplace. Back indoors there is a large plasma tv, Wi-Fi, and books or games to keep all in your group busy and happy.
The Guest room, with queen size bed and single bunk, is on the first floor and opens onto a private patio. There is a full bath on the first floor where you can take a long hot shower after a day at the beach. Incredible rocky coastline, secluded beaches, and tide pools are a short one and a half blocks away. You can jump on your bike and be at the sandy beach after a five block ride.
Upstairs in the master bedroom, you will find a sunny retreat with a private terrace. The queen size bed faces the palm tree lined view toward the ocean. Private full bath, walk-in closet, flat screen cable TV and a washer/dryer combo round out the second floor offerings.
Up on the roof patio, you can while away a lazy afternoon lounging in the sun, or take a nap in the double hammock, under the the large umbrella. Evenings offer an incredible sunset view, and a nighttime show of fireworks courtesy of Sea World. This cottage is a fabulous way to enjoy all San Diego has to offer.

Why the Owner Chose Ocean Beach
After visiting Ocean Beach last year on vacation, we knew we had to have a place there to enjoy with our family and friends. Ocean Beach is a non-touristy beach town that time has forgotten. It is reminiscent of childhood summers spent at the beach in Cape Cod. The town has a character and friendliness all its own. We are thrilled to be able to offer our Nantucket Beach Cottage to other families to enjoy. It is our hope that we can all start a family tradition of time spent together at the beach.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The location of our cottage can't be beat. The neighborhood is residential and very quiet, although the energy and excitement of town is only six blocks away. Most of us live Wednesday to Wednesday, when the farmer's market comes to town, and we buy fresh veggies, cheese, flowers, and Wednesday night dinner, street market style. If you love to run, walk or ride a bike, Take off from the cottage and head south on Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Five blocks will take you to Sunset Cliffs for a breathtaking trip along one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in southern California. All the major tourist attractions are 15 to 30 minutes away by car. It doesn't get better than this!
