This charming lakefront cottage has been totally remodeled with modern conveniences. Gas stove and convection oven, huge double door frig, the dining room seats 12. There is a stunning view of the lake from every room in the house. 1000 square foot deck and a dock out over the water. Wi-fi and 2 large flat screen TV's with cable. Vaulted ceilings throughout and a gated entry for privacy and security. There is a gorgeous 17 mile trail through Payne's Prairie just 2 miles down the road. A short 10 minute drive into downtown Gainesville, and 2 hours to Orlando.
Also we will consider 2 night stays for $250 per night. PRICES ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE.

This place is incredible, I really shouldn't be sharing this awesome secret. The owner is wonderful, the house is beautiful and the scenery is a piece of heaven. It is very close to UF/Gainesville but is a world away. The house has everything to make it a great stay.The kitchen is a joy to cook in and watching the Osprey swooping down into the water after their dinner was fun to watch. You get to feel totally cut off from the rest of the world. This place can be very romantic, if you are a couple and is also good for a small family with kids.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Thanks for sharing your home. It was a relaxing, quiet place. We enjoyed the large deck and being able to open up all the windows and doors at night to hear the bullfrogs. Great place to celebrate our son's graduation and plenty of deck space to enjoy a BBQ. Loved the large kitchen. So much storage area in the house. I would love you to help design our house and storage. The house was not far from anything and very close to trails. Payne Prairie was a very, short distance away. Not far from the college and away from the traffic that you get in other areas of Gainesville.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

About the owner: I am an artist and own a pizza place. I love making great pizzas and hanging out with my family. My wife and i also enjoyed the remodeling of this vacation rental.

This house is next door to us and we remodeled and furnished it to use for our family and friends who come through town.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Central Florida is the place to experience the real Florida. There are springs like Itchetucknee nearby that must be some of the most beautiful places on earth. Payne's Prairie is nearby and there are numerous trails and nature sightings there. One trail, just 2 miles from the rental, you can see lots of live alligators from a safe distance, out in their natural surroundings. There is a paddle boat available to cruise around our small lake and some fish out there too.
