Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2005
I am a University professional living in Bellingham, WA...the most beautiful community in the Pacific Northwest if not the country. I love fly fishing, hiking and biking.
Why the Owner Chose Ashford
The cabin is close to Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, Nisqually River and Big Creek. It was gotten as a family retreat in a quiet community for R & R and adventure and is dog friendly. There is skiing, snowshoeing and snow climbing in Winter and hiking, fishing and mountain climbing is summer. Fall is absolutely gorgeous and the wild flowers are spectacular in Spring...an outdoors persons dream location.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
My mother has 2 Chinook dogs that require a large yard and love to romp in the 1/8 acre fenced yard. Besides being 15 minutes to the park at Mt. Rainier, the cabin is only 1.5 hours away from Mt. St. Helens National Park. The cabin has a full kitchen, laundry, a luxury king bed in a spacious upstairs room that includes a private deck is a dream. The main floor has a luxury queen bed and 2 dog beds (if needed) with a quaint window bed that overlooks a bird feeder and fire pit. The deck is grand with a nice patio table in the sunny section. There is a hot tub to relax the sore muscles from a day of hiking or skiing. The on-demand hot water heater doesn't run out when the whole family decides to take a shower...one right after the other.
