During summer months enjoy cool mountain air, the sound of Clear Creek from an open window, fishing, hiking, and nearby shopping.
***In the spring/summer months, you can look forward to falling asleep at night to the sound of a gushing mountain stream 15-feet from the front door! You can have a Campfire in the Outdoor Fire-Ring, and there is also a tree hammock, all just feet from the river.
4-wheelers can be rented and delivered to the cabin for about $100/day + delivery! No trailering necessary! Information is also at the cabin for local dining, casinos, guided fishing tours, grocery stores, hiking and jeep trails, etc.
Those who choose to, can hike, Snowmobile, 4-Wheel, etc. right off the property and into endless amounts of trails leading all the way to the Continental Divide, Winter Park, St. Mary's Glacier, and everywhere in between. The house sits in a beautiful valley surrounded by thick national forest. Golden Gate National Park is also only 15 minutes away. Click on link below to see additional pictures.

We've stayed in this vacation rental twice, once in September and once in June. It's a spacious and clean rustic cabin with lots of windows and natural light. It has a huge deck, a full kitchen, three full brand new bathrooms (all had been redone since our stay in September). The weather was great during both stays. Every morning enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the large deck while listening to the nearby creek. The surroundings are very relaxing and beautiful. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the neighbors are nearby but the property is so heavily wooded, you will barely notice them. Great location also. We visited both Boulder and Denver, found hiking trails in Eldora that led to a gorgeous waterfall, and enjoyed breakfast and dinner at The Last Shot (a fanstastic restaurant/bar about 20 minutes from the cabin on 119 North). We will definately be back.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with young children.

This vacation spot was one of the best we have visited. While the cabin was dated (as could be determined from the photos), it was surprisingly spacious. The property has a gorgeous rushing creek and a nearby outdoor fire pit that we enjoyed. The weather was superb and we enjoyed the indoor fireplace nearly every night. Nearby towns of Blackhawk, Central City, Idaho Springs and Nederland were run destinations. Hiking trails were outstanding, many of which we could reach on foot. We enjoyed drinks at the Teller House in Central City (where there is also seasonal opera) and dinner in Blackhawk at Crook's restaurant. Dinner at the Ameristar was delicious, but we are saddened by the plethora of casinos in both these once-charming tourist destinations. We especially enjoyed having our dog with us. Nice kitchen with great amenities (including washer and dryer) and lovely deck. Neighbors were close, but the property is heavily wooded, so this was not a problem. Only complaint is the master bedroom has an uncomfortable and too-small (double?) bed with no window treatments on some windows, so awakening at dawn was a daily occurrence. We would definitely recommend this rental to friends and would also return some time.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
