Location: Venice, Veneto, Italy, Europe (Conveniently located to Pza Roma parking and train station.)

Accommodations:  Condominiums, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.25 Baths (Sleeps 4-6)

The Molino Stucky Condominium and the New Molino Stucky HILTON are in the same building, with the Hilton occupying the left side and the Condominium occupying the right side (please see the picture on the left). The same developer did both simultaneously, so we share the same marble bathrooms, large air conditioned rooms and other amenities. The main difference is that the Hilton charges a minimum of € 400 per day for a ROOM, and we charge a minimum of € 150 per day for an ENTIRE APARTMENT.

My condominiums are located in a charming 18th century building overlooking the largest canal in Venice. Watch the parade of boats, from gondolas and private launches to vaporettos and ocean liners, from the privacy of your window. See Piazza San Marco's bell tower and the Salute Church. Watch the people on the Zattere in Dorsoduro on the other side of the canal going to and fro among the traditional three-pronged Venetian street lights. In the evening, look at the sun set over the stunning snow-capped Dolomites.

Our apartments are in the famous antique Molino Stucky, a charming 18th century flour mill that has just been rebuilt as Venice's premier residence. In fact, we share our island with the world famous Cipriani Hotel and Hilton Hotel. Our apartments were just recently totally renovated and furnished, and were just placed into service in the last few years. They are all bright, comfortable and quiet (with special double glazed windows) and are available all year.

My lovely one bedroom apartment has terrazzo floors and wonderful canal AND mountain views. The apartment has an enormous red marble bathroom with an oversize bathtub with shower, toilet and bidet; it even has a washing machine for your clothes. The apartment has a sleeper couch in the living room and therefore sleeps four people. It is situated high on the fifth floor and is reached by a self-service elevator, a rare commodity in Venice.

The apartment has central air conditioning and heat that you may directly control through a thermostat in the living room.

Cooking is a nice way to save money when traveling with a large family, and we try to make it as easy as possible. My kitchen is fully equipped, including all pots, pans, silverware, glasses and dishes that you could possibly need. All this and a dishwasher to clean up with after your meals. I have also provided color TVs and a stereo with a CD player, as well as an iron and ironing board. The apartment is also provided with its own mobile phone.

Finally, when renting a private home in Venice, always be careful to ask if there is an elevator. The great majority of Venetian buildings have no elevator because the Landmarks Ministry (the "Belle Arte") forbids their installation in antique buildings. As a result, bringing a family with luggage up several flights of stairs can present quite a problem. This has been solved in our building by the installation of two fully automatic elevators for your convenience.

My apartment is sunny and bright, and has a stunning water AND mountain view. My apartment is non-smoking, and family owned and operated. In short, I have remodeled and furnished this apartment to my own high standards because I am a mother and my kids spend about three months a year here in Venice occupying it.

Please Note: We have Two Additional, Identically Appointed, Apartments Available In the Same Condominium Building; One Is A Larger One-Bedroom Apartment And The Other Is A Two-Bedroom Apartment. Perfect for larger groups traveling together!

Mr. & Mrs. Levi – Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in Venice at your wonderful apartment. It was the perfect location and we had plenty of room. I think Sig. Sette was probably a little taken aback when he saw the amount of luggage we brought, but we managed just fine. Next time we visit I think we will pack much more lightly! Venice was our favorite part of the trip. Again, thanks for use of your wonderful apartment and please feel free to pass my email address along to anyone who would like a reference. Lloyd and Jane, We just wanted to send you a great big "thanks" for a wonderful time in Venice. Your recommendations were great for dining, and our time in Venice was romantic, educational, and a lot of fun! Your apartment was everything we expected ... and more ... right down to the Italian coffee maker (we had to ask the housekeeper how it worked, and we had a lot of fun with sign language since she didn't understand English). The view was spectacular! We acclimated to the vaparetto system (and train/bus system in Italy overall) very quickly and further confirmed that the U.S. is very much behind in efficient public transportation (though we already knew that), and that Venice WAS QUITE IMPRESSIVE). Jeff & I wanted to let you know that the left shower curtain anchor was comnig down off the wall. We pointed it out to the housekeeper the first morning we were there when she came by to use the dryer, but she didn't seem to understand what we were trying to tell her. We thought you should know so it can be fixed for the next renters before it totally comes down and pulls the plaster off of the wall. Everything else was absolutely perfect ... what a lovely apartment! I have to say, we were in Rome, Florence, Assisi, Venice, Siena, San G., etc., but Venice was the highllight of our trip (Kathy speaking). With Sincere Appreciation, Kathy & Jeff ------------------------------------------------------------ From: ScrivetemiATaol. com To: idmsterAThotmail. com Subject: Re: Venice Rental- Date: Wed, 26 May 2004 15:52:15 -0400 Hi Kathy - Thank you for the lovely letter. We really do enjoy helping folks put together a memorable time in Venice, and letters like yours are the 'icing on the cake'! Jane is returning from Venice tomorrow, so I am sure you will find everything in order and to your liking. Have a great time!
