The place has stunning views from unit 19. Very convenient to everything Venice from this location. Buy a vaporetto pass either before you arrive or when you get here as individual tickets are now 7 euros each. We were here for 4 nights and used the vaporetto enough to get the price down to one or two euros per trip. Expect to get lost, lost, and in Venice. If getting lost bothers you, take a Zanex. The best part of Venice was being on this side and looking out at it and being able to get away from the crowds. Keep in mind that all of Italy has an issue with paper. There is seldom if ever paper towels or kleenex and check the tp upon arrival. You may have to go buy some. On the other hand, people have left all kinds of stuff behind including at least 10-20 Venice travel guides. If you come by train, call at least a half an hour out and keep calling until you get through. If you come by plane, call as soon as you get off the plane.

We stayed in the 2 BR Molino Stucky condo over the holidays. It was perfect, with wonderful conveniences and unbelievable views from all the windows. We parked our car in the Tronchetto lot and a few vaporetto stops later, Angelita the housekeeper met us on the boardwalk and we were in! All this for a fraction of a hotel price. Plus, you look at Venice across the Canal and you're away from all the hassle. The free Hilton shuttle runs at least hourly, or buy a pass and scoot all over Venice without headaches. There are several grocery stores nearby to stock the modern kitchen, and we liked exploring the alleys of Giudecca some nights when we were tired of the Venice hustle/bustle. There's a washer and dryer, and architecturally the flat is gorgeous. Huge bathrooms too. Go to the adjacent Hilton and see what they charge for the same view, and you'll rent Jane's place tout suite!

The Stucky was stunning! We loved the peace and quite yet close proximity to St. Mark's square. The accommodations met our personal needs. Contact with owner great all my questions were answered promptly. The morning views of the Dolomite Mountains most memorable.

The apartment and location were very good. We were a short walk to the Hilton water taxi and the views were very nice. However, we had considerable difficulty reaching the owner after we thought we had booked the apartment. We emailed our credit card information and, when the charge did not appear, sent several emails to inquire. The owner did not respond. The phone number the owner included in earlier emails was apparently to a non-functioning phone. We made a dozen phone calls to that number without success. The owner answered one call, said she could not hear, requested that I email, and then did not respond to the email. We arrived in Venice without directions to the apartment and without knowing whether we had secured the apartment. We had to hire a guide ($90) to find the apartment and, once we found it, no one was there to meet us. Fortunately, a local business was able to reach the agent. Because we thought we had paid by credit card, we did not have enough cash to pay for the apartment. The agent required cash before she could leave. It was late in the day and the banks were closed. Once again, we were fortunate because the agent was able to use her own bank card to get us into the secure area where the cash machine was located. Our bank card could not open the security door. The apartment did not have Internet. But for the lack of responsiveness on the owner's part and the misinformation about the Internet, we would have rated this apartment higher.

Loved everything about the apartment - could not have asked for more. We began our 2 week Italian Holiday in Venice and what a great way to start. The view was perfect and a the amenities were excellent. Have been to Venice in the past and one of the best things was being on the island - quiet and relaxing! If you are thinking about renting this apt, do it!

Lovely location and nice apartment. Did find the apartment cluttered such as things stuffed into cupboards and personal items left in drawers.Found towel supply very limited . One of the bedrooms was lacking bedding and several lights throughot the apartment were burnt out and not replaced .There also was no tea kettle which we found very strange..

Our friends and ourselves booked this charming apartment for three nights during early September. With all of our luggage the building's elevator was a great help. The apartment was spacious, with both bedrooms adequately accomodating the four of us. But the view from the living of the Canal and the parade of cruise ships on Saturday morning was spectacular. The short walk to the market made it almost feel like a small village apartment at home. The shuttle provided by the Hilton Molino Stucky was a treasured bonus, since it picked us up and took us to San Marco Square when we needed to go. The computer and phone access back to the US made it feel like everything back home was right here. The only issue was that many of the light bulbs were burnt out in several areas with no replacements to be found. We would recommend this two bedroom as a place to stay for friends or family or both.

6 of us (adults) stayed here for 3 nights preceding a cruise. Having never booked anything through VRBO, I was feeling a little anxious and responsible...BUT all for naught!! This listing surpassed all of our expectations! Very relaxing, our home away from home. If anything, the photos couldn't possibly do enough justice! All the amenities you could want, very clean, new, large bedrooms and baths. The internet was a HUGE bonus, greatly appreciated for information back home regarding s.o. with a serious medical issue. The elevator was a blessing for those days when we were exhausted, having walked for miles, exploring & thoroughly enjoying this gorgeous city. The free Hilton shuttle was extremely convenient. A shuttle for the cruise actually stopped at this very same dock to transport guests from the Hilton (& ourselves) straight to the Princess Cruise ship, for a small fee! How convenient was that! The owners were most helpful, patiently answering ALL my endless questions and making wonderful recommendations. One of the best, was to take the Water Taxi from the airport right to the condo. A memory we will never forget! We found their recommended grocery store and ate at several locations on Giudecca. Our first encounters with Giudecca hospitality were with the Hilton staff for a wee issue and they were most helpful and then with the very friendly staff at the restaurant right at the entrance to the condo, where we enjoyed our first Venetian beers and wine and enjoyed the most incredible views! Water, boats, a Venetian sunset. We opted to have our last dinner at this restaurant. Also loved the views from the top of the Hilton. Amazing. One of the most incredible sights from the condo, was to look out the windows to see our huge cruise ship arriving. Looked as if it was going to sail right through one window & totally filled up the other window!. Beyond spectacular! The contract to rent this condo and handling of deposit and payment were very professional and securely managed. We would HIGHLY recommend this condo! Our Travel Agent has taken all the details, as we raved so much about it and we would not hesitate to recommend it to family or friends. Just WISH we had had more time here and would LOVE to return! Loved the condo, loved Venice! Thank you! Thank you from all of us! :)

Clean, spacious, bright, breathtaking views!!!!! The fresh breeze blowing in the windows at night was refreshing. Great location with the Hilton shuttle to take us back and forth to the center if the city. All the amenities needed for our stay. Wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely be back and will request this apartment. The ten days we were away visiting different parts of Italy, this was my favorite place. We will definitely recommend it to others. Jane was so helpful and pleasant to deal with in the rental process.
Owner response:We are glad that you appreciated the Venice home that we love! We try to give tips on places to eat and things to see so that the city can be enjoyed without too many frustration! The shuttle boat certainly helps get people around in style and with speed, which we also like!

Cannot say enough good things about our stay. The accommodations, the view, the location were all well above our expectations. The owners were especially helpful in sending a list 7 of their favorite restaurants. We were only able to go to 2 of the 7. Wish we could have gone to all as those 2 were great. Hope to be able to stay here again some day
Owner response:Thank-you for the lovely comments about our Venice home. The view, and quiet convenient location are what really made us pick that particular apartment. We love watching the boat traffic on the Giudecca canal, especially the cruise ships! The lights of the Zatterre across the canal at night are just breathtaking, as well as the view of the dolomites in the distance, on clear days!

The views from this apartment are just stunning!! The unit is well equipped, very clean and comfortable. You cannot beat the location and the easy use of the Hilton water shuttle was so handy and made moving around the city easy. Of special note, we found a small wine shop on the same side of the canal as the apartment (to the south over a couple of bridges) that will refill your wine bottles with red or white local wine for only 1 1/2 E-very good!!! Small pizza place in same area excellent. Jane (owner) was very helpful and can answer any questions while providing excellent information and advice. We travel a lot and highly recommend this rental. Great value for the price overall.

We 5 travelers spent 5 nights in the 2 bedroom apartment next to the Molino Stucky Hilton on Guidecca. The apartment was clean and spacious with a wonderful view of the boats passing through the large water way. It was generally very quiet, but had a little noise from the apartment above in the morning. Kitchen worked well, lovely Venician Glass chandelier, enormous exposed wood beams in the ceiling. The bedrooms are a good size although the beds were a bit too firm for my taste. Bathrooms were large and nice, with the washer drier in the larger bath, it was very helpful to wash clothes on our extended trip. Internet worked very well to keep in touch. Access to the tourist areas (San Marco) was good, but we ended up spending much of our time in the Academia area, St Stefano and Dorsoduro which are a quick ride across the waterway. There is a Billa grocery store a few blocks west of the Zattere stop where we loaded up on wine, cheese, and breakfast foods to eat at the apartment. There are also a number of nice restaurants lining the water-side near Zattere. Banks, delis, and some very nice local restaurants are on Guidecca near the Palanca vaporetto stop, we had one of our favorite meals at a waterfront cafe a few blocks east of the Palanca stop. Guidecca is more of a locals area which we found charming. The only issue we encountered was the timing of the shuttle/vaporettos. No bridges link Guidecca with Venice proper, so knowing the schedule is essential. There can be some gaps that can seem lengthy if you just miss the boat and have to wait the full time for the next. Travel between Venice and Guidecca is very manageable and convenient as long as you are mindful of the schedule. We would definitely consider staying at the Apartment again and recommend it to our friends.
Owner response:I am glad that you appreciated the quiet and convenience of Giudecca-that is why we invested there! By the way, a newcomer to Venice needs to understand that Giudecca IS Venice proper. There are many parts of Venice that have no connecting bridges; that does not make them "not Venice" anymore than Staten Island was not New York before the Verrazano Bridge. The Billa is directly opposite the vaporetto stop of Sacca Fisola, and is a large supermarket. There is another one right on Giudecca, called the COOP, as well as a small bread shop along the Fondamenta, between Palanca vaporetto stop and Molino Stuckey, so there is no problem buying provisions for home!

My family (3 kids) + grandfather stayed for 3 nights in the 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was very comfortable, spacious and provided us with a real "home away from home". The locatino was very convenient, a bit out of the major tourist areas, and a super alternative, giving you that feeling of peace and quiet at the end of a busy day. The nearby restaurants were very good, and access to the Vaporetto was very convenient. This is our favorite way to spend family vacations, beats a hotel on every front. Look no further,

My wife, daughter a family friend and I, rented the 2 bedroom Condo back in May, and were completely satisfied with the looks, size and location of the condo. It was very clean and in a perfect location for getting away from the tourist crowds at the end of a long day of sightseeing. The view from the Condo is amazing. Tour Boats and Cruise Ships pass by your window nearly every day. The rooms were very large and the bathrooms were huge by European standards. The kitchen is well appointed and having the full size washer / dryer was perfect after 2 weeks of running around Italy. The Hilton shuttle is excellent for getting back to the main tourist area. There are quite a few good restaurants within a short walking distance from the condo and the market is also only about a 10 minute walk (once you find it!) I would definitely recommend this condo to my friends and look forward to getting back there again. Thank you Jane!

We stayed in both the 2 bedroom apt and one of the 1 bedroom apts in Nov 09. The apts were great. We cannot tell you how wonderful these apts are. The location is great being next to the Hilton. Everything is new, large and very clean. We loved every minute in Venice and cannot wait to return and the first phone call will be to rent these apts. We found it to be an easy transfer from the airport to the water taxi station. We used the public water taxi and it was very easy. I would stay here again. Thanks for a great time and for all the dining options.

We staying in the 2 bedroom apartment back in 2005 (but wanted to let everyone know what a great place this was). After a very small apartment in Tuscany we were glad to stay here in the spacious apartment. We were met promptly and taken to the apartment by vaparetto (we arrived by train). The house was clean and the view from the front window is great. It's nice to be on guidecca, it's very relaxing. Thank you so much.

Mr. & Mrs. Levi – Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in Venice at your wonderful apartment. It was the perfect location and we had plenty of room. I think Sig. Sette was probably a little taken aback when he saw the amount of luggage we brought, but we managed just fine. Next time we visit I think we will pack much more lightly! Lloyd and Jane, We just wanted to send you a great big "thanks" for a wonderful time in Venice. Your recommendations were great for dining, and our time in Venice was romantic, educational, and a lot of fun! Your apartment was everything we expected ... and more ... right down to the Italian coffee maker (we had to ask the housekeeper how it worked, and we had a lot of fun with sign language since she didn't understand English). The view was spectacular! We acclimated to the vaparetto system (and train/bus system in Italy overall) very quickly and further confirmed that the U.S. is very much behind in efficient public transportation (though we already knew that), and that Venice WAS QUITE IMPRESSIVE). Jeff & I wanted to let you know that the left shower curtain anchor was comnig down off the wall. We pointed it out to the housekeeper the first morning we were there when she came by to use the dryer, but she didn't seem to understand what we were trying to tell her. We thought you should know so it can be fixed for the next renters before it totally comes down and pulls the plaster off of the wall. Everything else was absolutely perfect ... what a lovely apartment! I have to say, we were in Rome, Florence, Assisi, Venice, Siena, San G., etc., but Venice was the highllight of our trip (Kathy speaking).
