This truly is our family's second home away from home. We love to take the short 1 1/2 hr ride from Atlanta, we play on our boat and enjoy the beautiful mountain views from our back porch. My husband and son regularly bring home beautiful 15lb to 20lb Stripers from their fishing trips and a fish fry is a regular occurrence at our house!
The house is only 6 years old and has never been used as a permanent residence so it is very clean and still has that "new house" feel to it.
We have a private dock so bring your boat, there are several places close by to put in but if boating is not your thing or the lake is down the house is ideal for viewing the amazing leaf season of North Georgia(October to the beginning of November) Octoberfest in Helen is a gorgeous 45 min drive away.
The top floor master bedroom has a queen bed with an en-suite bathroom. The top floor guest room has a twin and then a twin/double bunk bed with its own bathroom. The downstairs master has a queen bed with a large walk-in closet. The downstairs guest room has a twin and then a twin/double bunk bed. These two rooms share a large bathroom.
Large back deck with beautiful mountain view, the perfect place to watch the sunset over the hills. Seasonal water view from the back yard firepit but only when the water is up and foliage is low, short 500 feet gravel road down to the lakeside patio and dock which has a beautiful lake/marina view. Please be aware the lake is not always visible from the house, if foliage is low and the lake is up then you can see the water(see firepit photo) The walk down to the private dock can be steep for some but please remember you are in the Georgia mountains nowhere is going to be flat!
We have a bonus/TV room with a pull out couch.
Fully stocked kitchen.
Hardwood floors and loads of windows add to the great views.
Please be aware Lake Nottely is used by the TVA for power therefore they do lower the water level toward the end of the September. Time of lowering and level of lake is completely in the hands of the TVA, owner has no control over this. This is why our rates are lower than comparable houses located on deeper parts of the lake.
Please read all descriptions of house before renting, at no time is our house ever advertised as a LAKEFRONT property. It is a mountain house built on a 1 acre lake lot with a private gravel road down to our lakefront patio and private dock on the marina.

Why the Owner Chose Blairsville
We decided to buy in North Georgia as we have family up here, it is so peaceful and beautiful and the lake is much quieter than many lakes in Georgia. There are not as many boaters out on Nottely so we felt it was safer for our children to swim and play.
Golf course and hotel.Nice restaurant and bar, great Sunday brunch, beautiful views.

This is truly our family's second home, it is beautiful, tranquil, fun and some of our best times have been spent here. We use this house ourselves very frequently so there are a lot of basic necessities for your convenience such as seasonings, salt, pepper, oils, ketchup and other cooking basics. We offer these just to get you by until you get unpacked or go to the grocery store. We do request that in order to offer the next guest the same convenience you replace anything you finished.

We stayed at Mandy's mountian cabin for a week in August and had a blast. Place was super clean and we felt at home for whole stay. Fire pit was used every night and makes great difference at cooler nights and even in August we dropped to low 60s what was very refreshing escaping Florida's summer humidity and heat. Lake is very clean and deep, we caught few basses right of the dock, all keepers and grilled them at the pit - yummy!!! We are considering comming back in the Fall in time for leaf season... Our whole family can easliy recommend it for great time we had there. Regards Karl

We stayed at this property for a week with another family. It was clean and well maintained. The house was large enough to accomodate both of our families and all of the kids (the pictures don't show how large the house the house really is). It was great having all the bunk beds to house all the kids! The firepit was fun and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. The lake was beautiful and we loved being in the cove so the kids could swim off the dock without all the boat traffic. Mandy was readily available if we had any questions or requests. We would rent this property again and recommend it all our friends and relatives. We can't wait to come back again. Thanks Mandy for sharing your home with us.

We rented the cabin for an extended weekend for some friends and family to get together. Mandy is easy to talk to, and was very helpful with all my questions. The outside views are beautiful and it feels very private. There is plenty of room to spread out. ( The cabin is larger than it looks in the pictures. ) The cabin looked like new and was absolutely spotless. Compared to other places we’ve stayed at, this is a deal. The lake is a short walk down from the cabin and the water was clean and clear. We all had a blast swimming off the dock, and fishing when we weren’t swimming. Taking a peaceful soak in the hot tub at night was another favorite. The kids enjoyed playing on the pool table and walking down to The Cozy Cove Marina to look around and get sodas and candy. You can rent jetskies and pontoon boats there also. The kitchen has everything you need and there is a walmart not far from there. We had planned on eating out one night, but decided to grill out instead. The kids couldn’t get enough of roasting hot dogs over the fire pit, so we let them have at it. We had a fire every night and enjoyed sitting around telling stories. Everyone said they slept great and the beds were comfortable. Thanks for the wonderful memories-- We will definitely come again.

This is a return visit to Mandy and her families home as is so wonderful. The house was as spotless as ever and everything to hand. The facilites are great and the hottub is just brilliant for relaxing after a hard day floating on the lake . We were lucky to have the use of the golf cart for the emergecy trips to the shop for those forgotten supplies but even if it wasnt there the shop is only a few minutes walk away. The kids loved the pool room and it kept them occupied for hours giving us adults a chance to really relax infront of the fire looking at the stars - they are so bright from here and the views are breathtaking. The access to the lake is great - just down the path and there it is with the Marina right across from you - could have been easier. Thanks Mandy and family for sharing your beautiful house with us, you have made our holiday - again - see you next year

We had a great week on the lake and the water levels were as high as we've ever seen them. We even had the rare opportunity to view a mountain lion as it walked across the property one night. It provided great excitement to all - and yes, we stayed in the house. Mandy and family were very hospitable and allowing us to use their golf cart was an added plus. It really came in handy as we hauled all the water toys from the house, down to the lake and back. Their access to the lake is very steep, but manageable with the cart. There is no view of the lake from the house, but that didn't stand in the way of having a great time. Access to the water is all we needed.

This house was very well maintained and extremely clean. The pool table and jacuzz was a blast at night! And the golf cart to drive to the lake and around the community was awesome. The only small problem with the property was it was fairly close to the road and at the very end of the lake. (Not any good views from the house) But for the money was a very good deal. Thanks for letting us use your home.

We had an amazing time on our girls weekend at this beautiful cabin! The pictures do not do it justice. It is brand new, and the views are amazing. We spent our time swimming off the dock, relaxing in the hot tub, and relaxing on the huge back deck. We never ran out of hot water, and with 10 girls that in itself was a feat. The cabin was extremely clean and the furnishings were comfortable. We have rented a cabin every summer for this event for the past 10 years and this cabin beats them all. It is the perfect place for our getaway and we are anxious to reserve it for next year. I am also looking forward to bringing my family there soon. It is the perfect lake getaway. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We had a great time at this cabin. I had a lot of room for my whole family. The house was very well stocked with a lot of extras. the lake was a lot of fun and having the gold cart to take things down there was a great idea. The weather was great. The house is located right in the middle between the two main towns of Blue Ridge and Blairsville, so every thing was there at your finger tips. The beds were wonderful and never had a prolem with the television receiving reception. All in all this is a great place to rent to get an experience of the mountain life with a little bit of civilization right around the corner. The hot tub was marvelous and the barbecue pit was fun for all roasting marshmellows. It brought the Bedell family together for a wonderful week. Thank you.

I recently rented Mandy's lake house from VRBO and was SO happy with the place. It is spacious and very clean and comfortable. Having a pool table and hot tub was fun for everyone. We only had four days so we just stayed at the place and played games and took swims in the lake. The water is perfect temperature. The golf cart was great for helping my husband get down to the dock. Mandy was so prompt and helpful in answering all of my questions. I hope we can return to this house again. This place was fun for all of us-even our little terrier Charlie

Our Family spent the weekend here. We have Four children who loved swimming and jumping off the dock into the clean clear refreshing water of Nottely Lake. The cabin is very large and spacious with plenty of room for large families or couples even girls weekends! Such a quaint little cove with wonderful little store/marina next store. Our older chldren loved walking to the store and enjoying their yummy boiled peanuts. They have a pool table, games, fire pit for roasting marshmellows, the kids never said they were bored :) They fished of the dock and in hopes of catcing the big ones swimming right in front of them. There is a walmart, Nottely Dam and a small recreational park with a beach area which our younger daughter loved within Ten minutes from the Cabin. North Carolina is just minutes away with a neat little flea market and the town of Murphey. Me and my husband enjoyed the Hot Tub, You dont find too many homes in the mountains with a Hot Tub on the Lake. Quite an enjoyable stay! The walk down to the lake is invigorating although for the laid back folks they have included a golf cart for an easy access. Mandy is absolutley wonderful to work with she hooked us up at the last minute and answered any questions I have felt like we have known her for years! A definate place where you can feel at home! You wont be disappointed. THANK YOU TOWE FAMILY FOR SHARING YOUR CABIN WITH US!
