From every room in the house you can watch the wildlife from sea turtles swimming below to brown pelicans diving from above.
The house faces directly west and offers stunning sunset views every day of the year. Whatever your outdoor pleasure you can find an opportunity just a short distance from your villa from surfing, snorkeling, paddle-boarding, scuba diving, sport fishing, pleasure boating to just hanging out with your toes in the sand.
When you fly into St. Thomas you are a short 15 minute drive to the North-shore and your villa. All of the attractions of St. Thomas are minutes away, from the historic city center of Charlotte Amalie to the world famous Megan’s Bay. We offer complimentary airport pick up as well as a Hull Bay snorkel orientation of Hull Bay (aka 'your backyard') led by your on-island guru Web, who lives on site and is available to book your adventure tours including dives, hikes and even cave exploration!

Even for locals, a stay at Villa Tryst is rejuvenating. Waking up at the ocean's edge, falling asleep to the sound of the waves, starry nights... fantastic experience. This is the quiet side of St. Thomas that is still reminiscent of the old Caribbean. Would recommend this villa to everyone.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This beautiful home has lots of space and great views of Hull Bay. The house has great internet, a gormet kitchen and high ceilings. You can open the windows to feel the ocean breeze or crank up the AC if it gets too hot outside. The beach is just a short walk away where you can snorkel, get some sun or just hang out with a good book. This is a local spot where locals go so you won't see many tourists here. There is also a great local bar at the beach that has cold beer and good food. We took a guided snorkel tour with our 4 kids and had a great time. The guide is local and was great with our children. The house also has a nice little pool you can hang out in if you don't want to go to the beach. This home is definitely above average for the USVI. We are looking forward to our next visit.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The week we spent in this house was one of the best vacations we've ever had. Everything in this listing is absolutely true; the home exceeded our expectations in all areas. The views and easy access to anything we wanted to do made the location ideal. Our party spent days kayaking and snorkeling in Hull Bay with immediate access to the house. The kitchen was plentifully stocked with dishes, utensils, and even spices & seasonings for the multiple meals we cooked there. Nothing could beat the time we spent relaxing on the broad porch listening to the pelicans dive, and spotting iguanas in the trees. The days we spent away from the house were just as exciting and fun-filled, and the housekeeper(s) were ready to make recommendations for any activities, and answer questions about anything we needed while we were there. I would highly recommend this property to anyone with any desire to have the vacation of their dreams. None of us were ready to leave, and we're all dreaming about our next visit!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

If there is any place more perfect than Villa Tryst to get away to from the cold winter, I don’t know where it is. The blue sky, the warm temperatures, and the ocean breeze were a perfect piece of heaven. Having been fans of St. Thomas from three previous cruise stops there, our family wanted a change of pace – a chance to explore the island for a week rather than just for the day. Each morning, we awoke to a view of surfers, boaters, and fisherman, as well as pelicans and iguanas. Sitting on the peninsula facing west, gave us beautiful sunsets views, too. The house is lovely. It is comfortable and is very nicely decorated. We enjoyed the pool and cooking in the kitchen. We really felt as if we could relax and be at home here. Web was very helpful in picking us up at the airport, taking us to the grocery store, and in getting us snorkeling gear for the week. Our vacation couldn’t have been more perfect. We loved the house, the location and working both with Sarah and Web. We hope to return again in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We wanted oceanfront property that had easy access to the beach with nothing to restrict our tropical ocean view and this villa was just that and more.We loved watching the iguanas and pelicans. It was a slice of paradise that I look forward to visiting again one day. Just a walk away from our villa, features a bar and restaurant, sushi bar, and watersoprts/diving during the day. Thank you for one of the best vacations!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

House is very comfortable. Fantastic views. Loved watching the iguanas and pelicans. Very private. Easy walk to beach at Hull Bay. Beach is very uncrowded with good snorkeling. Beach is sandy, but not fine sand and with some rocks. We really liked location on north side. Away from the crowds but an easy drive to Magens Bay and to town. Would come again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

And the VIEW is breathtaking! I mostly enjoyed waking up to see iguana's relaxing in the tree branches around us. Something I had never imaginged. It was amazing...We also enjoyed snorkeling each day, shopping, dinner at Oceana, hanging out and dancing at Hull Bay Hideaway, and just relaxing. Is there a place BETTER than Paradise? The photographs do not really do this gorgeous villa justice. This home is at once spectacular and comfortable. Each guest has complete privacy with bath and balcony ensuite. I was so happy in my bedroom it was hard to leave and join the crowd. The common living area was wonderful with all views to the sea. About the owner: Originally from the landlocked state of Tennessee, we vacationed in the Virgin Islands every year from 1994 onward. Our kids fell in love with the location and continued to make new friends every trip. Our eldest daughter, Sarah moved here in 2004 and continued her career in Real Estate sales. She likes to say we were her 'worst customers ever' because our standards were so high (we wanted waterfront, pool, walking to beach, masonry). But we did finally find our dream come true in Villa Tryst on the beautiful north-side of St. Thomas. We find the location to be perfect for exploring all of the beauty of the VI but most of all we love gathering with family, cooking a dinner of fresh fish (often bought in Hull Bay) and watching the best sunsets in the world. It doesn't get any better than this. We are happy to share our island jewel with you and your family. Please don’t hesitate to tell us about your island adventures.
Why the Owner Chose Hull Bay:
On family vacations we rented villas all throughout the Virgin Islands from St. John to St. Croix. Though we believe each of the islands has its personal charm, the north-side of St. Thomas is clearly the diamond in the rough we were looking for. The convenience of being able to be in your private pool at your villa within 15 minutes after arrival (with no barge trip) allows for even a long weekend trip to be relaxing. We love the active beach of Hull Bay in that there are always activities to observe from fisherman going out early in the morning to divers swirling with their green lights after dark. The historically French neighborhood surrounding the villa is welcoming yet not at all touristy. You will know as soon as you enter the Hull Bay Hideaway that this is a local’s sort of hang-out. The world-class restaurants of Frenchtown and Charlotte Amalie along with the duty free shopping on Main Street or Yacht Haven Grande are a short drive away. Every visit we seem to discover something new we love about the Virgin Islands.

Honestly, if you didn't want to, you would never have to leave Villa Tryst. It has everything you need for a great vacation. Take a morning dip in the pool, an afternoon snorkel off the rocks below and then come back for sunset mango concoctions on the porch. The house is perfectly situated to watch the activity on the beach, the islands in the distance and the yachts that cruise by. We have a collection of board games, books and movies to keep you entertained if perchance you get a late afternoon shower. And don't forget naps in the hammock! If there is something you need for your trip, just ask us, it is likely we have it! We can even have your villa stocked with groceries of your choosing prior to your arrival.
