As portrayed in the photographs and accurately described in the listing and in previous reviews, this property allows guests to easily savor the multiple charms of P. Vallarta. It's a comfortable base from where one can choose between staying in the Vista del Sol building and enjoying the immaculate and superb large rooftop pool or taking a short saunter to Playa Los Muertos --the beach viewed from the comfortable balcony. It's a similar easy walk to dozens of excellent restaurants, shops, the main square and the shady walk under the tropical canopy of the River Cuale's island. The owner deserves kudos for reacting quickly to minor inconveniences and, also, providing a useful illustrated guide of P. Vallarta and nearby attractions. Go! Location is the best in PV. Sitting on the balcony you can see the locals walking around and minstrils playing and singing. Looking out on the ocean you can see dolphins and whales as well as local fishermen casting nets. The condo itself is refirbished and a joy to be in. Modern fridge and stove and other appliances make it a joy to eat in, whcih we did a great deal. Local restaurants are plentiful and all are great places to eat.The best part for me was that walking back one or two blocks from the condo you are in "real mexico" and the people are the friendliness I have ever met.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed in Casa McMullen for 3 weeks in Jan/Feb. 2013. Of all our holidays in P.V. this was the most enjoyable. We loved the condo and the wonderful location in the old town directly on the beach. Casa McMullen is light and bright and warmly decorated with a beautiful, well equipped kitchen. The location is excellent, close to all the restaurants and shops. We can't wait to go back again next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We loved our stay at Casa McMullen, Dec 15th through the 22nd.. One thing though, it wasn’t long enough… sigh… Casa McMullen is very spacious with large bedrooms, kitchen “well stocked”, dining and seating area not to mention and a fabulous balcony to watch the Sun set on Banderas Bay... The home décor is just beautiful with custom art and art pieces everywhere… and all those little things to make it feel like home. Casa McMullen is in a perfect location within easy walking distances to everywhere we wanted to go. Gracias Melinda! My friends and I stayed at Casa McMullen for five wonderful days. The condo has everything you could possibly need and the location is great. Lots of great places to eat right across right on the beach. My favorite was Canto Del Mar best ceviche and oysters ask for Chuy he will hook you up. It was great watching the sunsets from the balcony. The condo was very clean and it was a plus to be able to use the washer/dryer for only 15 pesos hr. All in all, I rate this place a ten.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This 2-bedroom condo, overlooking the Malecon and an unobstructive view of Banderas Bay in the Pacific Ocean, provides everything you need. Melinda, the owner, is extremely attentive and the staff on board were very hospitable and dependable. We will be looking to enjoy again in summer of 2013.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This was our third try at condos in Puerto Vallarta. As they say, three times is a charm. This is a beautifully appointed condo with more kitchen accessories than I have at home! It has been newly redone and is lovely. There is a constant breeze and we had no need for the AC. One day while having our morning coffee on the balcony (and that is spectacular) we observed 8 dolphins frolicking close enough to see without binoculars. The condo is immaculate, the staff is friendly, the pool affords a rooftop view of all of Puerto Vallarta. You are within walking distance of most everything. Jose, "the muffin man" appears on the Malecon every morning, and you only need to signal to him to be able to obtain warm wonderful pastries. There is no street noise or loud bar booming music, only the sound of the ocean. There is ample closet and drawer space. Hangers abound in both closets. We fell in love with this condo, and have every intention of continuing our further discovery of the city and all that is there. This is a wonderful condo and Melinda is quite accessible and so very easy to deal with. If you can't enjoy this condo, the problem would be with you ---certainly not Casa McMullen. You shouldn't have a worry in the world dealing with anyone affiliated with Casa McMullen. Our stay was the end of October and the temps were in the 90's.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Better than expected. We took our 14 month old and the layout was perfect. We could have a great time watching the ocean and taking turns at the pool even when the baby was sleeping. And it was totally safe for him to run around when he was awake. Very convenient location, and extremely responsive and attentive owner. Great bargain for summer. We have spent 6 months in Case McMullen during the past 3 years and loved very moment. The owner is always updating the condo so every visit has brought new surprises. Vista del Sol is one of the best locations (and buildings) in all of PV and this unit is one of the best. If you want an amazing view (the pictures cannot do full justice to the views), perfect location (you can easily walk to over 200 eating venues), good security (the building is staffed 24/7) then this is the place for you. We have no hesitation in sending this owner a check for thousands of dollars because we know the owner is trustworthy and condo near perfecto.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I have visited PV for the past 20 years. I have tried every every type of housing. This was the first time that I stayed right in the heart of town. The location was great with everything in walking distance. No need for a car. If you are a bay swimmer bring along your water shoes unless you want a stubbed toe or worse.Recommended for: Age 55+

We recently stayed two full weeks Casa McMullen and cannot say enough good things about it! This was our 4th trip to PV - each time staying in a different condo - and this place was unquestionably the best! We heard good things about Vista del Sol from friends who have stayed there, so were eager to check it out for ourselves. The location is more than ideal - I just don't think it gets any better than this. Mere steps from the beach and fabulous restaurants, both upscale and humble (and all delicious!). We only took a taxi once during our stay to get to a restaurant on the other side of Old Town, and because of the convenient location we were able to walk everywhere else we wanted to go. The condo is just lovely. It's super clean, quite roomy and airy (love the open flow of the kitchen, dining and living areas), and the decor is pure perfection. We loved the colorful artwork and Mexican handcrafts. It was nicely appointed, and we had everything we needed for cooking, sleeping, showering, and just generally feeling at home. It was very hot during our stay - we knew it would be, that's just PV in August! - but so refreshing to open the front door of the condo (there is a metal security door which allows air flow) and the sliding glass door at the balcony. The ocean breeze wafted through the condo and it was quite comfortable. We used the a/c for sleeping at night and slept like babies. We really liked the added security of a front gate/guard and front desk personnel. They were very helpful with our baggage, bottled water, laundry instructions, etc. The maid is a delight and she did an amazing job of cleaning every day but Sunday (her day off). She speaks no English, and our Spanish is very limited - but we managed to communicate just fine, and it was nice to see her smiling face each afternoon. We definitely want to return to Casa McMullen, and cannot recommend it highly enough. Melinda was wonderful to work with - very professional and helpful all the way. Thank you, Melinda, for allowing us to make ourselves at home in your casa. As they say, location, location and location. The part oif the beach the condo is located on is perfect; clean, not crowded and close to everything. We think the building is probably the best on the beach. The condo was modern and had all of the amenities you could want. The balcony was a highlight for us as the view is spectatacular. We will be back.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The bay view, the proximity to restaurants, services and activities, the roof-top pool area - all were an absolute treat. The condo itself is lovely and spacious, in a great building with both beach and pool options, and a wonderful beachside restaurant right on the premises. The staff is friendly, competent and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by how well-appointed the kitchen was (including a good spice rack!) We'd definietly stay again, and miss it already!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

I stayed in December 2009 and was very pleased with Casa McMullen. Despite the fact that she's just started renting in September 2009, Melinda is a top-notch host. She did a great job of communicating everything we needed to know in advance of arriving. The condo is beautiful, right on the ocean with the most spectacular view. The building is very well maintained with 24 hour security, daily maid service, and a community atmosphere. The location could not get any better, in the romantic zone, on the best beach, two blocks from a grocery store, and surrounded by delicious restaurants. I'm the type of person that researches a ton of places before deciding where to say, I carefully read all the reviews and weigh out the pros and cons... all I have to say is STOP researching and Stay here. I stayed with three girlfriends in December 2009 and loved it. It's a great location, beautiful view, close to beaches, restaurants, and a grocery store. Our biggest decision everyday was beach or pool! It was clean and comfortable, I'll definately stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We loved this condo! The view was fantastic. The breeze that cooled the entire unit, as well as the occasional reminder of the great location (surf, wood buring grills), was so relaxing. We felt very safe in this building. The staff was very helpful. The pool on the roof was clean and peaceful. This location is the best area in PV.
