Accommodations:  Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 4-8)

Our cabin's back yard IS Coopers Creek, which is located in the Coopers Creek Wildlife Management Area. This is the #1 trout stream in North Georgia. If you love to fish, it doesn't get any better than here. We are close to the Appalachian Trail and several beautiful waterfalls. Hiking, fishing, hunting, tubing, mountain biking, and scenic drives, are just a few of the reasons to visit this area. Vogel State Park, Lake Blue Ridge, and Lake Nottely are all located within 25 miles, along with shopping and other activities. Please note that our location is rural, so be sure to pick up your groceries before arriving.

Our cabin has been a "weekend retreat" for 20 years. This is truly our "home away from home". It is personally decorated and very comfortable with most of the furniture, other than the antiques, newly purchased. We are "dog friendly" with a fully fenced front yard and a large crate inside if needed. Would appreciate it if the dogs are kept off the beds and furniture.

There is a large covered deck, which overlooks the backyard and creek, with a commercial gas grill and stucco fireplace. Two fire pits are in the back along with chairs, a picnic table, swing, and hammock.

Why the Owner Chose Suches

We bought the lot with intentions to use it for camping, but had a small cabin completed within 5 months. Our goal was to have a mountain home that could be used frequently as a weekend retreat. My husband wanted to find a place that was rural, not over developed, on the water, and that was within 2 hours of Atlanta. We found the PERFECT place!

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin

Very peaceful, a true retreat; playing in the creek, fishing, campfires, nice neighbors, reading, walking, hiking, etc..

Owner's Map of Suches

My family has many great memories of the times we have spent at our vacation home. We enjoyed fishing, hiking, tubing, dirt bike riding, and just hanging out by the creek. Our son grew up going there every weekend. The most memorable time was the storm of '93 when we received 2 1/2 feet of snow and were unable to leave for 4 days. No power, no water, but we kept warm and even cooked on the woodstove. We continue to use the cabin whenever we can get away from the city.

    • You will not be disappointed in renting this unbelievable cabin!! Words cannot describe how wonderful this Coopers Creek location is! I am somewhat reluctant in sharing this because I'd love to keep it a secret but I can't. If you come once you WILL return, guaranteed!! Like to fish? Try the bottom with worms, you will be SHOCKED at the results. The owners are the best and had fresh vegetables from the garden! I could go on and on...however, do not let this one pass you by, it's the BEST!!

    • Charming, charming, charming - just like a storybook cottage only better because the creek is literally right in the backyard. The creek is wide and beautifully noisy with good trout fishing, wading, and beautiful scenery. This is exactly what you need if you're looking for a feeling of total seclusion with neighbors and a store close by but only if you choose to make contact - safe but private and extremely comfortable with great indoor and outdoor living areas and a great 2BR/2BA floorplan with full kitchen and very nice living area. We'll go back over and over and recommend it highly to anyone who needs and wants to escape. Thanks so much for sharing your cabin with us and our two furry children.
