Location: Moloaa Bay, North Kauai, Kauai, Hawaii, USA (Secluded Bay on North Shore Kauai; 17 miles from Airport)
Accommodations: Private Estate Home, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 3 Baths (Sleeps 8)
Woodrose Plantation includes a breathtaking home nestled on two and one-half acres of lush, botanical and fruit gardens situated in pristine Moloaa Bay. Some of the varities of fruits are listed below. (This fruit has been sold to markets, health food stores, and restaurants for years). A very private beach is just steps from your back door. (actually about 1000'or 5 min walk with small children)
This plantation-style home, is a dream, with high vaulted ceilings and views from every window. Hot water comes from energy efficient Solar generated water heaters. The estate owners make this unique home available when owners are not on island. Enjoy your delicious fresh fruit (all you can eat that is in season) from 100s of tropical trees as you bask on spacious covered decks, listening to the waves and enjoy ocean breezes. You might try Starfruit, three varieties of Avocados, Oranges, three varieties of Papayas, four varities of Bananas, Mangos, two varities of Lemons, Limes, Tangelos, Tangerines, Ademoyas, Figs, Cheramoyas, Cream Apples, Passion fruit, Strawberry Guava, Suranam Cherries, Pumalos, Lychees, Coconuts, pomigranits, two varities of pineapples and two varieties of Grapefruit. Some fruits take up to 2 years to propigate such as pineapples. You will find 100s of rare, exotic flowers including orchids, halaconias, antheriums, plumeria, red, pink, blue, white, yellow ginger, woodroses and gardenias, to adorn your tables, make flower leis, or just enjoy in your yard. You may eat and use all of the fruit and flowers you like for your own personal use at the fees shown below. (Woodrose makes no guarantee of any fruits or flowers being available at any given time due to seasons and other uncontrollable causes) The fees reflect a daily charge, as with any rental property , however apply only to the fruit and flowers used as there is no additional charge for the use of the home. To satisfy new zoning restrictions Woodrose Plantation is considering that you will be charged for the flowers and fruit you decide to use rather than for the rent of the home. (Technically the home is free for your use while you are there and you are paying only for the fruit/flowers that you might decide to pick)
Moloaa Bay is one of the most private bays on the island. There is fun for all ages on the exposed reefs and tidepools, the sandy beaches, snorkeling, surfing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, or roasting marshmallows on a fire at the beach when you are not picking fresh fruit or flowers and just want a rest. There is shade at the beach (large trees), for those with fair skin and protected areas for small children.
Large bedrooms with beautiful, rare, hardwood floors and imported handmade rugs and hand-carved teak accent furniture make this "fruit and flower picking" an experience to talk about for a lifetime. You will have an experience like never before while staying in this "farmers market buffet" plantation. It is Very Private and out of view. Close to town, shopping, movies, restaurants, etc.

We spent a wonderful summer with kids and grandchildren in beautiful Kauai. Each time we go we can not believe that there actually is anyplace on earth that is this beautiful. It is always a dream come true. We also did a lot of work on the home including repainting the entire exterior of the house, adding a new large screen Plasma TV in the new entertainment center in the playroom/bedroom #3. We also purchased a new entertainment center for the Master bedroom and matching dresser. A new TV was put in the living room, along with new stainless steel gas range in the kitchen to match the new Stainless Fridge and dishwasher. A satellite DVR system was put in to allow for recording favorite programs when not at home. A new king size bed was put in the 3rd bedroom to replace the Queen bed that was there. New Ralph Loren beach towels were shipped from the mainland to add to beach comfort. A variety of new plants were added to the front yard to enhance the already indescribable beauty. We've visited most of the world and haven't found anywhere we like as much as Moloaa Bay Kauai! The Sparks

Thank you so very much for opening up your home to us! Wow! This place is amazing! You have a very comfortable and inviting home! What a blessing it has been to stay here and enjoy the natural beauty of Hawaii. This was our first time here, and we'll be back! Maybe with the kids. We did a lot of sunning, eating, exploring and our husbands (we were here with one other couple) spent plenty of time chasing the chicks! (chickens of course!) We drove to poipu beach and ate at Postcards, Papayas and many other fun places!Anyone reading this must go to Postcards and Papayas! Thanks again for the wonderful opportunity to stay in your home!

Thank you so much for opening up your beautiful home to us. What a great experience. We stayed here with the Pawlitscheks and had a great time. We are moving on to Turtle Bay in Oahu until the 11th. While we were here we hiked the NaPali Coast 4 miles in to the waterfall. Wow!! That is a must do. We ate at Coconuts, Wahoo and Postcards all with great food. We also had fun eating the oranges, greatfruit, starfruit, mangos, and bananas all from the yard. We made smoothies and fresh orange juice as well. Thanks again for making this a memorable and delightful vacation. Mahalo Cole & Carrie Thorson

We have truly enjoyed our time here in Kauai and in your beautiful home. Thank you for making our vacation so much better by sharing your place with us. Our kids felt right at home with the special touches you offer (video's, games, toys, etc.). We hope to be able to come back soon to visit. The kids loved to run on the lawns and chase the wild chickens. Jeff, Michelle, Kristen and Zachary Laughlin

The Biffer family Vacation was a blast. Kayaking, surfing, hangliding, and just relaxing! We loved Kilauea. It's wonderful. Loved the Bakery and the Sunrise fruit stand was great too. Moloaa bay has been the most relaxing funfilled experience. Thank you. Can't wait to come back to Kauai and visit Keko and Button (the resident beach dogs)
