The 1/2 acre property is terraced with rock walls framing the beautiful organic gardens ....it is a short 3 minute walk from the private dock where we catch the boat taxis to the main town for shopping...there are no cars here ....only (safe) foot paths .......Santa Cruz is a safe and secure place .......in our valley, it is quiet and peaceful .........there is a yoga center nearby ....
The house has THE VIEW and many renters just sit on the sofa on the deck and look out ....seeing the valley with its lushness, the wonderful lake, and the volcanoes across the lake.... it gets very comfortable .....Francisco, the caretaker for 13 years and Jacynta, the housekeeper for 10 years, not only maintain but can also do the shopping and fix food...washer/dryer, internet, movies are all available ........it's a meditative environment ........ we are eco friendly ....we take care of all garbage and compost, bidets on toilets, recycle everything .... the house has 1500 sq. ft living space, large living / kitchen combo ...Japanese Sitza bath (soaking tub) ....all beds have orthopedic mattresses ........

It's the best weather year round than any place in the world ...the air is clean ,no cars, quiet, lots of different species of birds ,not so many bugs because like California , it cools down at nite ..... living and working with the Mayan people slows down the pace of the industrialized speed way....here, it's organic living .......... Lake Atitlan is just a very beautiful lake and a great place to live and vacation.
