If you are looking for an extraordinary 'find' for your vacation destination, you have found it. Timberframe Cottage is a delight, with its panoramic ocean views and timber frame design, vaulted 14-foot barnwood planked ceilings, heavy trusses, white wood walls, bright interesting rooms, and gracious amenities. It will exceed your expectations. Cloistered in its verdant setting with incomparable rustic-chic decor, BayShore Cottage might easily be the most handsome cottage available.

A convenient 10 miles north of Cape Cod in Manomet, 4 miles from historic downtown Plymouth, this beautiful cottage is an ideal base for oceanfront relaxation, easy access to sightseeing, whale-watching, deep sea fishing, antiquing, boutiquing, golf, touring historic homes (some of which date to the 1600s, like VRBO 343120, which is actually available to rent for vacation!) beach combing, and swimming.

Website Being Updated Daily, Check Back: Vacationers searching the Web might overlook BayShore Cottage because of its location just north of Cape Cod. Those 'in the know' already realize that Cape Cod traffic has become horrendous at times -- an excellent reason to stay just a few miles away in the verdant coastal area with the same features but much lovelier terrain.
Entering through the pleasant breezeway, you'll see the breathtaking view sweeping from Plymouth Harbor to your left, to the Gurnet Lighthouse across the water, all the way to Provincetown as you turn east. Enjoy the spectacles of vivid sunsets over the water and at night, the twinkling lights of Plymouth, and the streak of light from the lighthouse across Plymouth Bay.
The breezeway has an overhead lighted cupola, which sheds a gentle light on your easygoing conversation or grilling while you watch the incredible sunsets over the water.

Website Being Updated Daily: Stepping inside the open-plan cottage, you'll enter the Great Room with its 14-foot stone fireplace, timber trusses, and barnwood-planked ceiling. Attractively decorated with slip-covered furniture from Crate and Barrel, the Great Room has wide pine floors with forged nails, antique cupboards with beveled-mirror doors (reflecting the ocean view.) The kitchen runs the length of the great room and has a 14-foot long mahogany topped island with two undermount sinks/Grohe faucets, dishwasher, and a convection oven allowing the cook (or master of canapes) to be a part of the family gathering while enjoying the wraparound view. The refrigerator has an icemaker with tasty ice because our water is so good here.
The fireplace is flanked with massive antique Ottoman doors, brought back from Cyprus, which divide the Great Room from the master bedroom. This area has a vaulted ceiling, raised sleeping alcove that juts out toward the ocean, has a queen-size four-poster British West Indies bed.

Here, posts and beams create a jewel box with ocean views all around. The high windows let you peer at starlight high above the Atlantic. The bedroom's French doors open onto the wraparound mahogany deck that connects around the lodge to the Great Room and kitchen.
This newly renovated cottage has two full baths - one upstairs with a mahogany countertop, vessel sink, Grohe faucet, marble shower with pebble floor, and skylights above the shower and toilet. The other bathroom has a shower, antique pedestal sink, stone walls, and separate toilet alcove and roomy walk in closet.
Three sides of the cottage have walls of French doors, which open to the roomy deck. The open floor plan can accommodate four in beds plus two+ little people in the bunk room with three distinctly separate sleeping areas.
The lower level suite of rooms includes a den/sleeping area, laundry, bathroom, and an additional 'bunk room' behind a sliding barn door.

This home was amazing!! We couldn't stop saying wow with every room we walked in. After dinner Friday eve we were sitting in living room. Someone said "DEER" sure enough there they were two of them, looking at us!! God is good to provide us with his creature. Thank you Robin for being so generous in opening your wonderful home. The before an after picture of the renovation were wonderful to see how you transformed this ugly duckling to a beautiful swan! God Bless!! We certainly will be renting this home if we are ever back in this area.

Our family of five enjoyed our stay in this cottage. The cottage had plenty of room for two adults and three daughters (11, 14 & 17). The cottage was clean and nicely decorated. The wood floors and ceilings were beautiful. The master bedroom had amazing views of the bay and the bed is surrounded by windows on three sides which made for beautiful views and cool breezes at night. While there are homes on both sides of the cottage, the way the landscaping and lot is set-up, you don't see any neighbors. The view of the bay from inside the house and the back deck was a perfect way to begin and end our days. We stayed in the cottage for 7 days and used it as our "base" to explore Plymouth, Cape Cod, Newport and Boston. It was a convenient drive to all locations. We enjoyed exploring Plymouth and all of the history about the Pilgrims and early days of our country. We also enjoyed exploring the charming towns of Cape Cod and the beautiful mansions in Newport. Robin was a pleasure to work with through the entire process and was very responsive to all of our needs and questions.

We have just arrived home from our third trip to the Timberframe Cottage. This home has a sweeping view of the bay. It was so nice to wake up each morning to the sounds of the sea and the sights of lobster boats, birds, lighthouses, and wintry white tops. The combination of this home's water view, the fireplace warmth, and the interior decor made our Timberframe experience one of several that we will never forget. My boyfriend and I hadn't taken a vacation in years. We finally made our plans and all i asked was somewhere peaceful with no itinerary. Robin's house fit the bill. The coziness of the living space-ie, fireplace, the restful and meditative view and the overall openness of the property that afforded such majestic and stunning views allowed us to truly relax, stop running and breathe. The house is clean, and beautifully decorated. Robin helped us through the week with helpful destination hints and enjoyable restaurants. We both successfully recharged our batteries and enjoyed not rushing for awhile. Having a lovely home to come back to just made our vacation that much better.

This house was everything I'd hoped for. My husband & I craved relaxation and peace on the water, and got it! Despite the minor disruption caused by Hurricane Irene for a day (thanks for bringing over the flashlights and the bottle of wine), we had a fantastic week. Robin's home was gorgeous, tasteful, well appointed, clean and nicely maintained. All the comforts of home, in a beautiful location. In nearby Plymouth, we saw Plymouth Rock, Mayflower II & more than a few Humpback Whales (Capt. John) - Cafe Strega and the Lobster Pound were highlights. Thanks so much, Robin, for allowing us to bring Jake, our lab. A beloved member of our family, he goes everywhere with us, and we won't leave home without him.

(from an email sent after departure) "Hi Robin,...Well, we made it home late Sunday evening... a long road trip but well worth it for the three wonderful weeks we enjoyed in Manomet. Memories of our time at your charming and comfortable cottage will always warm our hearts. I think that we will be imagining the lighthouse flashing, a refreshing outdoor morning shower, and so many other simple but exquisite pleasures for days and nights to come. We are certainly going to miss what came to be expected routines at Timberframe Cottage. Thank you for sharing this special home with us.Sincerely, Marlene"

About: To me, creating the perfect waterfront getaway home is an art form. My lifelong career had been in designing publications, and later creating magazine illustrations (google 'robin jareaux') and painting expressionistic works on canvas. When I first decided to rent my weekend home so I could renovate an incredible but dilapidated cottage (which became, at great expense, 'Timberframe Cottage') I did not know this would become my work and my passion. Working in 2d was fun and rewarding, but my new ART is creating vacation homes that themselves are 'works of art.' My goal with my homes is to create a setting that exceeds your expectations, and in turn, your patronage lets me continue my art form a few more years. Please read the guest comments to see the generous and enthusiastic compliments we've received. Finding just the right furnishings, using classic Nantucket decor, using materials such as massive beams, barnwood ceilings, wide pine floors, RL sheets, antique cabinets, and creating gardens overflowing with roses and peonies, clematis, daylilies, gigantic buried stepping stones, blueberries, raspberries, foxgloves (can you tell it is June as I write this?) expanses of mahogany countertop, fine appliances, stone fireplaces, stained glass, with views that will take your breath away. Please look at 'all my rental listings' to see my portfolio: art in the form of unique and exceptional vacation getaways. It is a labor of love... for you.

                              Why Manomet:
Incredible wraparound ocean views, a light house across the water, fireworks over the sea, utmost privacy, this is EDEN.
