About 2000 sq. ft., this wonderful apartment is located on the 5° floor of a very decent old building with two elevators, just 300 metres from the Coliseum, at Via di San Giovanni in Laterano – Roma.

If you visited a website map and inserted the address you could have the correct idea about its excellent location. From there the most important historical sights can be reached with a short walk (Coliseum, Roman Forum, Domus Aurea, San Clemente Basilica, Piazza Venezia, Campidoglio, Colle Oppio, etc). Of course, since that’s delightful very central neighborhood, it has a good connection with public transportation to go everywhere and it’s well served by a variety of local cafes, good restaurants, supermarkets and delicatessens convenience stores. Coliseum Metro Station is just 300 metres. That place’s very quiet and safe at night too.

The apartment consists of 2 double bedrooms, a bedroom with a single bed that can turn into a bunk-bed for 2 people, 2 bathrooms with shower, so that up to 8 persons can comfortably reside. The living room’s divided into a dining area. There’s a very comfortable double sofa-bed and a very large wood table with well-cushioned white chairs. The fully kitchen is equipped with coffee-/espresso machine, gas stove with oven, fridge/freezer unit, toaster, hot water boiler as well as all the other necessary appliances, a second smaller fully equipped kitchen too and a lovely and quiet terrace equipped with gazebo, glass table and very comfortable chairs to enjoy your breakfast and dinner outside. The apartment was just recently completely renovated and modernized. Everything is new, neat and tide. As you can see from the pictures it’s very fine furnished with some antique pieces too. The treatment’s friendly and helpful. Internet WiFi available. Pick-up service available on request.

That place, for its high quality and perfect location, is the best way to spend your holiday in Rome, without any stress and any problems. Beside on the second floor of the same building I have another very lovely and similar apartment without terrace, that can host up to 8 guests, so that, entirely, up to 16 guests can very comfortably reside in this place.

Disappointed

Guest: Sherry (Louisiana USA)

Unless something changes, we missed on this selection. Needs to stop advertising wifi, doesn't work. Not quiet and not the best neighborhood. We have been to London, Venice, Florence and Tuscany this vacation and all have been as advertised. Not sure about here. Not really that close to things, seeing the Colosseum does not mean it's that close. Our driver took us around today and this apartment really isn't that close to the A line metro. Very disappointed in it's description and it's actual condition.

Great Apartment!

We chose this apartment based on the great reviews both Antonio and the apartment received and we weren't disappointed. Our family of 5 including three teens stayed there for 7 nights and it was the perfect place to come "home" to every night. The A/C worked perfectly, a big plus in the summer heat. The apartment was clean, safe and centrally located practically next door to the coliseum and just down the street from the bus stop. We used the metro for all our transportation needs and the stop was about 4 blocks away. A great market is located nearby and we did all our shopping there. Antonio arranged for our airport transfers which was a great plus eliminating the stress of taking the train to Termini and getting a cab. Our only disappointment was the lack of wi-fi. This made it tough to communicate since we did not bring a laptop, just an iPad. In Italy it is illegal to have open wifi spots so we found it impossible to get wi-fi anywhere in Rome. Outside of this, we had a great time in Rome and would recomend this apartment to anyone. We would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic Apartment and Great Host!

Guest: Michelle (Scottsdale, AZ USA)

The listing and photos are accurate! This is a wonderful apartment - great location, comfortable, clean, spacious. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms with showers were a plus and the terrace was the perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. There was a small coffee shop and market just downstairs which was very convenient for a quick cappuccino in the morning and picking up a bottle of wine and snacks in the afternoon. Toni was a superb host. He arranged for airport transfers (both drivers were professional, friendly and on time). He also arranged for a tour guide (Daniela) to provide us a tour of the Vatican, Ancient City and a countryside wine tour. Daniela was the best guide we could ever have imagined. She was knowledgable, spoke great English, was professional and absolutely charming. We all fell in love with her and want to make her part of our extended family:) I would absolutely recommend renting this apartment from Toni and having Daniela as your guide. We can't wait to go back! Molto grazie and Ciao!!!

Loved This Apartment on San Giovanni!

We found this fabulous apartment on VRBO, dealing with Antonio was a pleasure. When booking online sometimes it's a hit some times a miss, this apartment was a HIT! The apartment has everything travellers need from a wonderful stocked kitchen, good beds, washing machine, a wonderful deck to enjoy wine at the end of the day and great air conditioning! The apartment was very clean, newly decorated it was a jem to come home to after a long day of sightseeing in 36c weather. We loved the location, it was amazing to walk out the front door walk a block and you are staring at the Coliseum. We walked everywhere from this location, the bus was also right out front. We would highly recommend having Antonio arrange the airport pick up and drop off, it made everything so easy. The driver called Fabrizio and he was there to greet us and get us organized and ready to see Rome. We were a family of four two adults, two teens, everyone had their own rooms it was great. We would most definitely stay again and hope to soon! Make sure you get Fabrizio to show you where the supermarket is on the map, two blocks over it's a great spot to stock up on water, great cheese's, meats, fruit and wine of course. Thank you Antonio Ciao

Great Apartment

Guest: Bruneo (Chicago USA)
Date of Stay: 04/09/10 Review Submitted: 04/23/10

We loved this apartment. The location is perfect with easy access to transit, restaurants and sights. The neighborhood is excellent. The apartment is large with very nice bathrooms and bedrooms, but it is the beautiful terrace that sets it apart. We spent all our down time there drinking wine and planning our next steps. The only small downsides were the lack of the advertised wifi (there is cable internet) and the construction going on in the building. You may want to confirm with the owner that the work is done before renting as it gets very loud at 8:00 a.m. sharp. That said, we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this apt for 5 nights in November 09. There were 7 of us and this apt is great. It is on the 5th floor with elevator. The terrace is wonderful. The apt is large and clean. Linens and towels included. Washer also. Toni was wonderful. He arranged drivers and tours and all were on time and great. Small market nearby, larger market short walk. Walking distance to metro, taxi's and hop on hop off buses. Very safe area. Toni answered all my questions very quickly and was there to greet us on our arrival. This is a great apt in a great location.
