I can only say great things about our stay in this condo. William met us at the airport, showed us the way to his place, had great suggestions of what to do in the area and was a great host. The condo is new, clean, spacious and inviting. We loved having so many fun things to do right at the complex -- mini golf, basketball court for my son, the beach only a minutes walk away and the rooftop patio which way one of the best things about the condo. The area is great -- close to the rain forest and the incredible kiosks in Luquillo. We ate there almost everyday! We loved buying fruit at the roadside stands and found an incredible bakery ten minutes away in Rio Grande - La Famillia Bakery. My husband and I are already talking about planning a trip to go back next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Overall, we were happy with the condo and had a great time in Puerto Rico. (Culebra, San Juan, and El Yunke were our favorites.) Pictures do a good job of representing the complex. The owner was timely and helpful with our questions. A couple of minor issues that shoud be fixed (noisy dryer, faulty internet, and some dirty dishes), but overall satisfied. The pool table on the upper floor was a nice feature and kept our teenagers entertained. The pool area and garden areas were very nice. Unfortunetly the lazy pool only operated on the weekend which didn't fit with our plans, and the snack bar by the pool wasn't operating, but nevertheless, it was a nice area. The town around the complex was not something we felt comfortable walking around in, but maybe for the more adventerous it would be ok. The security in the complex seemed good. ThanksOwner response: Thank you for your honest response. We will work on the issues mentioned, right away! We strive to be the best in Aquatika.

Thank you William, Everything were great!Owner response: English Translation: We have two families (4 adults, 3 children) spent a lovely week in the comfortable spacious apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped. Everything else is available, which one would have guests looking. (Large gas grill on the patio, towels, beach towels, beach and bath toys for the kids) Only the WiFi fell from time to time for a long time. In a pinch, there are Wi-Fi in Aquatika clubhouse, which is located directly in front of the apartment. The pools are brilliant. We have a lot of time in the lazy river and spent in the various hot tubs. Unfortunately, some of the water slide and games was only in operation on the weekend . The beach is very nice, unfortunately we had a few days very strong waves (due to a storm) and the flow brought a lot of trash in the small bay. The beach was then purified again on the weekend. Also, larger stones in the water, which may apply to the waves a danger to the kids are. If one on the beach but only 300 meters turn right (on the shore one must still climb over the rocks at the end of the bay, or one runs short, the next street behind, you get an even nicer beach (2km sand desert with palms up to the water, without stones under the water line, only fine sand. The Wal Mart can be reached within a short drive away, across from Wal-Mart is a large outlet mall, where you can find anything cheap, what a German tourist may want to buy so (Levis -.., Nike and Reebok stores and even more brand name clothes and shoes) They did not make it far for shopping, the main attractions of Puerto Rico (San Juan town, Biobay and the El Yunque Rain Forest National Park), all in a 30 miles radius and within easy reach. So both the apartment, the resort, the beach and the surroundings are highly recommended and provide everything you need for a super holiday. Thank you William, Everything was great!

My family and I stayed at this location for 1 week. We are a family with 2 kids and a pair of grandparents came as well. We found this unit was well equipped with everything you can possibly need with pleanty of room. The kitchen had everything you can possibly think of from plenty of dishes and cookware down to a waffle iron! My family is a bit finicky and I can say that it was a very clean unit. As far as location goes I will say the surrounding area is definetly not appealing, however safety is absolutely not an issue. The Condo complex is waterfront and the beach is lovely to simply take a stroll along. In the entrance of the condo there is a police station which does make it a little more comforting. The complex is gated and like I said we were there for a week and did not experience any problems. The condo it pretty central to San Juan and Fajardo. We felt this location was perfect for what we wanted to see and do during this trip to PR. I would highly recommend this unit!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

First of all i like to thanks William for his hospitality, he's really a special guy. The Penthouse was as Amazing, Very clean, Spacious and Beautifully decorated with all the comforts. All the pools were great and the water was warm and comfortable along with the slide and lazy river. The beach was perfect and relaxing... The Penthouse location is very close to San Juan and other popular destinations. The amazing beaches of Luquillo are just minutes away and so is the Yunque, a natural forest like no other! In this place you have everything you need to cook since it's provided by William, there's even a grill in the rooftop with a view of the ocean, also a washing machine to refresh your beach wear and even beach toys to entertain your love ones. You can get everything else that you need in the Walmart that's located in Calle 187 and Calle #3, don't worry! William will let you know about this and other stuff on the way to Aquatika since he meets at you the Airport to escort you and your family to the Penthouse. I would stay there again in the future since it's an affordable option and I highly recommend this place, Aquatika is a hidden Jewel! At the end of our stay i happen to forget my wallet in the unit just before i had to board the plane and William rush to meet me at the penthouse so that i could retrive it and get home, Thanks William! Highly Recommended for: Age 50+, Families, Adventure Seekers, and Getaways and Sightseeing. Take my advice, Don't let stupid rumors ruin what could be an Unforgettable experience!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Awesome!! Apartment was as represented--- clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The many pools and beach were refreshing and scenic. Location is very good with easy access to the rain forrest, San Juan, ferry's to Culebra & Vieques islands and Luquillo Beach. My family and I had a BLAST! We will never stay at a hotel again--- a nice comfortable condo is the way to go. The owner was extremely nice and very accomodating. I would stay there again and highly recommend this unit--- you will not be disappointed. My wife wanted to stay another week--- unfortunately, our vacation came to its end--- until next time. William was a gracious host. He met us at the car rental and escorted us to Aquatika. The condo was far better than we anticipated and the amenities were perfect. The beach was beautiful and we rarely even saw any one on it. Pools were empty and we loved the choices. Great spot for an affordable family vacation. Loiza didn't offer any thing to do but the condo village was safe and complete. Great place!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Our family consists of 2 parents and 4 children (ages 14-23). We had a great time! The condo was just as it states on the website. William was excellent to work with. He answered all of my emails/phone calls. I was a little worried about sending money, but I had no problems. I even received my entire deposit within a week of being home. William met us at the car rental place and we followed him to the condo, where he showed us around. The condo is very nice and it had all the comforts of home. The town of Loiza looked a bit "slummy". But I will say, we didn't have any problems, and the local people we did encounter were very nice. The condo is gated, and we felt very safe and secure. The kids loved the tennis courts, pools, and mini golf. The only complaint about the pools/hot tubs is this: For us, the pools were not deep enough. I think the deepest part was 4 feet. The hot tubs were not hot, maybe luke warm. Other than that, we enjoyed using them. The gated beach area was very nice, there were even a few chairs we were able to take out near the water. William had chairs, toys and towels for us to use, as well. The condo was well layed out, air conditioned, Wi-Fi, dishwasher (yes!), microwave, plenty of bathrooms, washer and dryer (incl. laundry soap, thank you!), and the roof top terrace was AWESOME! We even got to see fireworks! (It was News Years Eve). Our family, absolutely loved the pool table upstairs. There was a gas grill for our use, too. There are not many restaurants to choose from in the area, we had to drive about 20 mins. to find one we all agreed on. The codo was a good location for us, everything we wanted to do was within a 45 minute drive. There were a few flights of stairs to go up to get to the unit, but it was covered and well lit. The condo complex was fuller on the weekends. Parking was great, and the garbage drop off was convenient. We really had a fun vacation!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/6

An amazing place, a home away from home, in an amazing island. William, Marie and one of their children came to the airport to greet us and take us to the apartment, approximately a 20 minutes’ drive east from the International Airport Luis Muñoz Marín in San Juan. The resort, Aquatika is in Loiza. It took us just a few minutes to go through the security procedures at the entrance. The resort has 24 hours security. William and Marie's apartment is exactly the way it is described in the web site, clean, stylish, and equipped with everything anyone could ask for and then some. Everything worked perfectly, and that includes the internet connection. Aquatika is a beach resort with several swimming pools, a lazy river and spacious gardens. It is very safe and quiet, maybe a little more active during the weekends. Maintenance is very efficient and we have seen people at work in the carefully manicured gardens and in the swimming pools every day and during the weekends. The beach in front of the resort is very clean with nice warm waters. To the east it is partially blocked but to the west one can walk for hours, The town of Loiza is also reasonably quiet and safe; we did our daily shopping in the little markets of the area without any problems. The town has a significant police presence and the headquarters of the regional police are at the entrance of the resort. We have also tasted all the delicacies that the road side kiosks have to offer, empanadillas, pastelillos, mofongo, as well as the local beers of the island, Medalla or Silver. William y Marie, our 5 star hosts, provided incredible hospitality and were available to answer any question during our stay. This was, indeed, our home away from home! I would wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone, and especially to families.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 6/6

When looking for a special place to celebrate a milestone birthday, our consideration of PR was high due to the US Territory status where laws are similar to the continental US, no passport is required, the relative cost and time of travel to a tropical climate was good, VISA cards were readily accepted and the reviews of William's home at this beautiful resort were so positive. We were surprised by the sights (wandering horses in unexpected places on the island), sounds (small to large playful and/or colorful reptiles, vocal roosters and dogs of all types nearly everywhere outside of the resort). We were equally impressed by the attractions (Bio-luminescent bay, Old San Juan and its historical forts, along with the wonderful proximity and access to the fabulous El Yunque Rain Forest). Our time went by so quickly. The temps were quite high (June) as was the humidity, but our experiences were pleasurable wherever we traveled and the comforts of the home and hospitality of William were refreshing each day. The resort personnel we encountered, staff at the various attractions we visited and the shop owners we met made our time in PR a memorable vacation. William is obviously personally invested in making his home yours during your stay and he has provided many of the necessary "tools" to do that with toys, sports equipment, creature comforts (air conditioners/ washer/ dryer/ dish washer). Our value meter was full as we measured the friendly territory we had just experienced as we headed to the airport to return to the mainland. Try this trip - it is well worth the travel - oh, and the local cuisine is "yummy". Our thanks to you William!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

To start off I just want to say thank you to Willie and his family for a great place and his hospitality. We've stayed at this this complex in the past but this time around the condo was just beautiful and spacious. It had everything you needed and more. The pool areas are amazing ,which the main pool is right in front of the unit and not far away from the beach. Also what was new and a bonus for us was the snack bar, which is open on the weekends with great snacks and drinks ,especially the pina coladas which is great when you don't want to cook ! Would highly recommend this property to anyone.Recommended for: Families with young children

This complex was beautiful, very tropical and quiet. The grounds are so clean and maintained. The pool areas are beautiful. Mr Martinez met us @ the car rental and escorted us back to the condo. He even stopped at walmart to let us get groceries. Loiza is not a very nice area but once you get in the gates of the condo complex you are met with the most tropical, lush area. The condo is convenient to the El Yunque Rain forest about 20 min drive and worth the drive. We were also about 20 mins from Luquillo beaches which were great and Fajardo is just a little farther but worth the drive to visit the bioluminiscent bay at night. San Juan and Old San Juan are closer than they seem its just the traffic is a bit of a hindrance but had a wonderful time there as well. There was 2 adult couples with our party and 3 17-18 girls, this property suited our needs well. but if you are looking for a hopping place with lots of people this is not the place for you. During the week (Monday-thursday) there was hardly anyone at the complex, the weekend was much busier and had more residents. They also have a snack bar which serves awesome pastijellos or empanadas and drinks like beer, pina coladas etc. It is only open Friday-Sunday. would highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This place was truly awesome! A great vacation property for families with children. The property had all kinds of amenities and everything you can think of to feel right at home. If by any chance you forgot anything 99% the owners had it in the penthouse. Toys for the kids, games for adults, movies, and so much more! This is the place to come, make yourself at home and just relax! While the kids can go and play. I will definitely be back again! The owners were very responsive throughout the entire process and paid very close attention to detail from decorations of the penthouse to ensuring all our needs were met from the beginning to the end! I felt like this was truly my own vacation home rather than a rental. Mr. and Mrs. Martinez thank you for making us welcomed! We greatly appreciate it!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This is a Google Translation from the German review. Please, excuse any mistakes. Review Submitted: May 29, 2010 Date of Stay: April 2010 Many thanks to William for a superb accommodation and first class service. He went out of his way and picked us up from Car Rental (airport) and escorted to the resort (at 2 clock in the morning). Blessed, too, as our giant fridge-freezer, broke down, William was immediately on the spot, prompting a repair. In the meantime, we were worried in the short term ice and then he brought a smaller transition fridge (this will later find its place in the top floor). The rooms are as shown on the pictures, pleasantly decorated and clean. This applies also to the baths (two in the first floor and a half bathroom upstairs). The resort was well maintained and kept clean. The pool areas (a total of 5) are beautifully embedded in the palm garden. Unfortunately, only max. 3'-6" deep. Big plus here are the bathing times. Up to 1 clock at night! I've never seen before. Class! Unfortunately, the public beach is not cleaned as often. Ther is the debris that the sea brings(which is not bad). However, glass shards have no place here (we saw a few occasionally, prompting caution). Small drawbacks were the opening times of the snack bar (only on weekends) and the wearing of wristbands (which we never did). We were often approached by the watchman on it. With the statement "If, in the apartment" but he was more or less satisfied. Directly at the entrance of the premises is a police station, small supermarket and a liquor store. The Walmart and an Outlet shopping center are located at some distance. Easy to reach from here is El Yunque, San Juan, the beaches in Luquillo and Fajardo with ferries. Ponce and part of the Panoramic Route are already day trips. We have never made it further than the beautiful caves at Arecibo. The crossing of San Juan is pretty annoying with time (traffic). Finding food and alcohol is not a problem in Puerto Rico. There is simply everything they need to have for spoiled Europeans and cheap beef. This came in large quantities at William's Gas Grill. The BBQ on our roof will continue to be long remembered. Finding foreign food was nore difficult. Unlike in Europe, we did not find the cozy "normal" restaurant. You will find many fast-food chains and Take Along pizzerias. We are just in America. Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

From the begining of the rental process William was helpful and accommodatiing. He answered all of my questions via email and he returned our deposit quickly after the rental ended. Upon arrival in Puerto Rico he met us at the Rent a Car office and led us to his condominium. He made himself available 24 hours a day during our vaction to answer any and all questions or concerns. The unit was just like the pictures and is very comfortable and has everything you would need to enjoy your vacation. The view of the mountains in the evening is spectacular from the roof deck. Everyone in the complex is very friendly and helpful. Our seven year old son and his nineteen year old cousin, both had a great time. The snack bar is open on the weekends and Gerry who runs it will do everything to make your visit relaxing. The beach is great along with all of the pools; the entire complex is kept very clean and you look forward to getting out to the grounds for the day. I would recommend William's unit to anyone who is looking to relax on vacation. We look forward to returning in the future to enjoy William's Home Away From Home.Recommended for: Families with young children

After a two week stay, we wanted to stay longer. The description and photos were certainly accurate and more. The condo is fully equipped and nicely furnished. William is the perfect host. He promptly answered inquiries, whether phone or emails. He met us at the car rental and patiently directed us to purchase groceries, phone chips, then the condo. Thanks William for easing us through a hectic first day. No doubt, we will return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This is an exceptional property AND William is a terrific host. We just got back from a week's stay and cannot wait to return. While the surrounding town is a bit depressed, Aquatika is beautiful, very well maintained, safe, and just a delight. It is also well located to take various side trips (which we did). The pictures of the condo and the grounds don't do justice to what you will find. Everything is MUCH BETTER! Note: you will need to have a car. We took our children and grandchildren for this vacation. The hardest part of the vacation was trying to get them out of the many pools. I would definitely recommend this property for grandchildren. Mine are 4, 3, and 2 years old. While at Aquatika, we went a couple of times to El Yunke (very close), check out the zip line tour, once to Fajardo to kayak, the old city of San Juan, the Luquillo kiosks to eat (our favorite was #33), as well as several other day trips. None of those trips took very long to drive to. Our favorite restaurant was the Brass Cactus Bar and Grill in Luquillo just off Route 3. If you are there on Sunday, don't miss the pig roasts in Guavate. It takes a while to get there, but should not be missed. Also, on Wednesday nights from 7PM to 9PM, learn Salsa dancing at Hobbies Bowling Center near Naguabo. We printed out a lot of different things to do while visiting Puerto Rico and left it in the condo. It is a bright orange notebook. Hope it will give you a few ideas. William provided everything that you could possibly need and helped us out the one time that we called him while we were there (free WiFi internet is available, but only at the clubhouse). We would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thanks William!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

If you plan to stay at Aquatika this has to be one of the nicest town-homes in the complex. William was a pleasure to deal with from day-one right through the return of the security deposit. His hospitaility was a real comfort knowing if there was any issue he was readily available to address it. He is the kind of guy you hope to find on Cyber -Rental. The home itself is simply beautiful. It has a high-end kitchen, pool table, cable, roof terrace, WI-FI, gas grill & AC throughout. It also had a dishwasher which was not available at all Aquatika rentals. William has equipped it with games, beach chairs and outdoor toys as if you lived there yourself. The pools are basically outside the front door and the Ocean is a 1 minute walk. There is a basketball court and playground right next to the pools. The kids loved the water cannons and water slide. Some have said the beach is small, (and it is), but it was fine for a quick dip. I actually snokeled all around the beachfront and there were fish swimming with me. It is samll but nice. Aquatika is in Loiza which is not a great town. You will need a car and plan to drive at least 30 minutes to dinner if you don't eat at the rental, (which you should at least a few times since it's beautuiful). The upside of staying in Loiza is that you are close to the east coast which boasts: - El Yunque Rain forest, (which was incredible), - Luquillo beaches for body surfing and - Fajardo, the coast area.(snorkel / fishing trips departures) These were alll within 30 minutes of Aquatika which would have been well over an hour from San Juan with traffic. There are major U.S. malls within 15 minutes, (Wallmart, Walgreens, Applebees, etc), so you're really not that far out in the country but Loiza is not a walk-around town for travelers. In all, if you have kids, (mine are 11, 9, & 9), - Aquatika is fun for the kids - This home itself is beautiful and - The owner is a pleasure. Thanks William. Massachusetts says hello.Recommended for: Families with young children
