A great price, a great location, a large comfortable house. The owner and property manager on Aruba were very nice and easy to deal with. Just returned from Aruba with my son and my brother. The house is large and roomy, it could sleep 12 comfortably, comfortable furniture and beds. Close to the high-rise hotels, casinos, restaurants and beachs. The owner very responsive and returned my deposit quickly. The gas grill is a portable one, it worked very well for the three of us, it would be hard to use for large parties. The house does not have wi-fi. That would be a great addition along with a full size grill, and a small stereo would be on my wish list.
Owner response:Thanks for the nice response. Upon request before you leave for your trip, you can request Wi-Fi for $50.00 for the month. Or you can get it free at Star Bucks and Salt and Pepper restaurant. I can also pick up my email on my phone when I am in Aruba. My rates are so low, compared to most homes so for $50.00 you can get Wi Fi too. I will look into a larger grill when I am down again. The small one has a small propane gas tank on it. Makes it easy to pick up a small bottle of it in the store for use . The house is in a great location to get to everything in about 5 to 7 minutes. I do have 2 radios in the house to listen to music and 3 televisions. COme and enjoy Aruba without spending a fortune and stay at a lovely home close to all the action.

We spent 10 lovely days in Aruba, one of the favorite places. It was our first time in the house instead of a resort, and if you are ready to cook there is much cheaper way to have a vacation. We cooked only breakfast and some sandwiches for lunch to take with us to the beach. In the evening we went to the restaurants. We like Wacky Wahoo's and B55.They have reasonable prices and very good food and service. In the house we had everything as it was promised, the owner is very easy person to deal with and honest which is important for us. We had fresh cold water in the refrigerator, when we stepped in the house and it was very nice for the hot weather day. There are plenty of towels and beach chairs which were helpful when we went on Baby and Catalina beach to snorkel. Amazing experience!!!. As a suggestion for the owner I would prefer better toaster, as the one in the kitchen already not working good, but other vice we were happy there and will be happy to come again.

But you can't beat the fabulous restaurants there. They are the best restaurants in the world. I have never had a bad meal out in Aruba. I don't know where these cooks go to school,but they are sensational. It is too bad you did not find another toaster in the corner cabinet on the bottom under the countertop. I also keep and extra coffee pot under there for back up. The house is a super deal for all that you get in this home . It is a very large home too and can sleep 8 in beds. COMe and see why all my renters love this home and Aruba. Please come back.

I had the privilege of renting this house for a full month, had several of my friends visit me while I was there and everyone loved the accommodations! The house was exactly as described and the truck was a great deal too. Elvin was a pleasure to work with ( he is the liaison for the house ) If your looking for one of the most cost effective no worry ways to visit Aruba, this is a great path for making that happen. The only very minor complaint I had was the house was not the cleanest when I arrived, that being said there is a vacuum cleaner, cleaning products and plenty of wash cloths to clean it to your individual standards. ( I was given the option to clean the house on departure instead of paying for a service to do it) which I thought was nice. Lastly I've read through the list of reviews and did see one complaint one listed, I can assure you that lady was crazy ( I was also told the truck is manual trans. btw) and how do you complain about the heat in aruba??? isn't that why your there! Anyhoo, I had the trip of a lifetime and would/will absolutely rent this house again! Bon Dia!

We stayed in the house over Christmas 2011. It was a true bargain. The house is very nice, if out of the way. The owners include the option of the use of a truck (if you can drive a stick, take it - not all roads are paved in Aruba and a truck ou SUV is a good idea). We took our 3 kids and it was nice to have room to spread out and not be on top of one another. If you stay, look for the owls that live in the area and hang out in the back yard. Very cute!
Owner response:I am glad you enjoyed Christmas in Abuba. Yes, the truck comes in super handy driving around Aruba. The house has a paved road, but some of the roads in Aruba are not paved, expecially the other side of the island. The truck is great to handle all the roads when touring. What is wonderful about this house is that it is so close to all the action. 5 minutes to just about anything. Beaches, restaurants, boat rides, shops, supermarket. If you don't mind being 5 minutes out of the way, this is the house for you . It is all just a 5 minute drive away. This house is definitely roomy to accomodate 8 people easily in beds. There is even a pull out couch. Plus a living room and a family room, both rooms with a TV. If the kids want to watch something different they have their own family room to spread out in. The tiny owls that sit on the wall in the back yard are full grown, just a tiny species of owls. WE heard they are rare and an endangered species so you won't get to see them except in Aruba. We are so lucky to have them in our neighborhood. They are adorable to look at and for some reason they love to sit on our wall fence in the back yard. This house is a true bargain compared to what other renters charge.

My husband,two friends and i rent Eileen's villa for a week. We also rent the car which permitted us visit the island. The house is exactly like the photos on web site, it was very clean. Elvin pickup us at the airport and he was there when we left. I appreciated all advices Eileen gave me. We have enjoyed our week in Aruba, rent this house was a good deal!

You have no worries staying at this house. Elvin is there to greet you and take you to the house. It really is a very good deal to rent this home. The truck is an added bonus to rent too for so little compared to the Car rental places. It seats 5 comfortably. I have plenty of room to sleep 10 people too. 2 kings, 1 queen, 2 twins and a pull out couch in the living room. A living room and a family room. A large dining room table that seats 8. YOu will love this home away from home.

My husband and I, and another couple rented this house from Eileen just last week. The booking process was very simple and Eileen was more than accomodating in letting us stay 7 nights/8days instead of the usual 6 nights/7 days because the flight was cheaper to leave on the 8th day. We decided to also rent the truck for the week. Great choice! Within an hour of contacting Elvin, he was there to pick us up at the airport and then he took us on a little tour of the island before heading back to the house. He even stopped at a grocery store on the way so we could pick up a few things. As soon as we got back to the house we met Bobby. Such a sweet dog! We bought treats so that we could feed him each day and it never failed that as soon as we were pulling in the drive way, there came Bobby running up to the house! =) Choosing to rent a house, rather than stay at a hotel, was a great choice and this house was more than enough space for 2 couples. We ate breakfast at the house every morning and packed lunch for the days we went to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Bath towels were available but my only complaint is that there were no beach towels. The beach chairs were great though! And the water pressure was not what we are used to back in the states but no biggie! Having the truck to be able to go where ever and whenever was so great! It allowed us to really get to see things on the island that other visitors weren't able to experience. Some of the restaurants we ate at were not easy to find, tourists don't even know they exist. But we explored and found plenty of good places to eat. Flying fishbone and Marina Pirata....definitely 2 great places for seafood!! We were very happy with our experience staying at this house and our trip to Aruba as a whole. We would definitely rent from Eileen again in the future!

Don't think you have to fuss over him if you don't want to. I have super large bath towels and you can use them for beach towels too. I think Aruba has some of the best restaurants in the world. It is just hard to beat the steaks and fish they serve. I sure hope you come again. It was a pleasure having you at my home in Aruba.

Our stay at Eileen's rental home is one that we will always remember. It was a pleasant experience, and Eileen's professionalism was outstanding from the initial inquiry to the end of our stay at her rental home. We could not have gotten the accommodations for the price we paid for seven days at any resort. It was great to have the wonderful gentlemen (Elvin), who oversees the property pick us up from the airport, and he also made himself available throughout our stay. The home was very comfortable. Having the use of a full kitchen help cut down on eating out three times a day. The house was equipped with everything we needed, even though we brought products with us just in case. We thought the neighborhood was safe, and the neighbors were friendly. We cannot forget the friendly neighborhood dog "Robie" who greeted us every evening upon our return to the house. We did not mind the extra security of the door gate, because things happen all over the world, and you can't be to cautious. The rental fee for the use of the truck was nominal, and it was great being able to travel to different parts of the island most tourist don't see. I would recommend this property to any family member or friend. Eileen was pleasant, and communicated throughout our stay and afterwards. I am appreciative of Eileen's honesty. Our week in Aruba was great and we plan on visiting again.
Owner response:Like everyone says, this is a great house for the price. YOu will spend a lot more at the hotels. WIth the money you save you can go out to eat and enjoy the island. SOmetimes when you spend so much on a hotel or resort, you feel like to have to stay there and get your money's worth. I would recommend renting the truck for only $135.00 for 5 or fewer people and exploring the island. There is so much to see on the island. If you have done the resorts and hotels, now is the time to rent a house and a truck and go see the rest of Aruba. Thanks for the nice review.

We really enjoyed staying in your house while in Aruba and the truck was definitely a huge plus. The house was exactly as you described it, spacious, clean, and well laid out. There was plenty of room for our family in the living areas and the kitchen was large enough that multiple people could work there at the same time without bumping into each other. We had all the things we needed for a week at the beach - plenty of large towels, beach chairs, cooler, etc. My wife adopted Bobby, the neighborhood dog for the week who always came when he heard us, looking for a treat. Met his "real owners who were very nice as well. Elvin picked us up at the airport and gave us a quick tour of the main part of the island, especially showing us where the grocery stores were. This was key as we ate breakfast and lunch at the house, which allowed us to eat dinner out each night. Whenever we had any questions or issues, Elvin was very quick to help out. Additionally, we were unsure about getting back home, due to the huricane that hit the US (no affect in Aruba) and Eileen was very flexible about letting us stay an extra night if needed. Thankfully, or flight made it through on time. We went scuba diving 3 days with JADS and they were terrific, I would definitely recommend them for any level diver. Teaser fishing charter was great as well - we caught 5 good size Mahi Mahi on our fishing trip (dinner one night). The horseback riding tour with Rancho Ponderosa was a fun family excursion, but the best way to see most of the wild side of the island was with the Green Zebra tour. We took the "dune buggies" around almost the entire lower half of the island - definitely a worthwhile trip. Most tours won't pick you up at the house, so we always met them at the Mariott Surf club (drove there and parked in their lot). The best overall thing about staying at the house was the fact that we saved so much money over what a resort (or another house & rental car) would have cost that we were able to do all the other activities and stay within our overall budget.

Aruba has everything you want to do including scuba diving, snorkling, horse back riding, charter fishing, great warm water beaches for swimming. My husband and I wanted to take my kids on a family vacation before everyone went back to school. We looked into hotels in Aruba and we had no luck because it was such short notice.. I surfed the web trying to find a place to stay when I came across VRBO. I searched through all the listings close to where I wanted to be and I found this house. The price was right, the pictures looked okay and it was close to where I wanted to be and we could rent their car. Great, I thought, so we booked. Well it was not what I expected it to be. The house, yes did resemble the pictures but they were not accurate. The house was not properly cleaned nor maintained. When we arrived, the air conditioner was not even turned on for us therefore the house was very hot. There was a note on the refrigerator informing us that we could not put all the air conditioners on at the same time or it would blow a fuse, therefore we were limited to what rooms we could stay in with air. The water was not turned on for us. The ownwers car, or caretakers i'm stil not sure who's it is, was a stick shift, this we did not know until after we paid. I do not know how to drive a stick shift therefore my husband always had to drive. We were told by the owners carettaker thatwe should always lock the gate thats directly outside the front door because the neighborhood was not safe. We did not wind up staying at this house and the owner chose to keep our money. I would not recomment this rental.to any friends or relatives We were never given a rental contract
Owner response:First of all I have been renting this home for 6 years and this is the first time anyone has ever complained. I have 9 reviews on my site and everyone loves this home. Please read all reviews. I went back and looked through my emails and I certainly did write to her that this truck was a standard stick. I make it a point to tell everyone about it being a Mitsubishi diesel standard truck. I have a gate outside the front door for safety. The house is empty so much, we did not want to take a chance of it being broken into when it is empty. Even the most beautiful neighborhoods have break ins. I would think most renters would like having the gate and not complain about it. . SOme hotels have pass keys to get into the hotel. SOme have gates too. It does not mean that the hotel is not safe. These are all safety precautions and I want my renters to feel safe and so far they all have. The water just had to be turned on. SOmetimes when the house is empty for several weeks the caretaker turns the water off. It certainly did not mean there was no water. Yes, I do have instructions about the air conditioning. I have those nice new long wall units that are quiet in each room. I instruct to please put on 3 units at a time in the rooms you are in. Electric is 3x as much in Aruba as it is in the states. So I ask to conserve the electric as much as possible. My caretakes puts the air conditioning on when you arrive. It only takes 5 minutes for the rooms to cool off. No one else ever complained in 6 years. Don't forget I don't charge a lot for this nice home. It is priced very low compared to most homes in the same neighborhood. If you want a home with a gated community and a 24 hour security guard and total central air conditioning then you will pay $3000.00 to $4000.00 per week. I gave them back their security deposit and the cleaning fee. I did keep the rental money as I work it the same as a timeshare. If you go to a timeshare unit that you don't like when you get there, you don't get your money back. You can't work a business like that. I reserved this home for you. By the same token renters would not like it if when they arrived at the home , I decided I was not going to rent it to them. That is not how business is done. There was nothing wrong with this house. It is very nicely decorated and comfortable. Everyone has always praised the home and the price I charge .It just goes to show . You just can't please everyone

The house was even better than described; it was much bigger and nicer than expected. Continental caused us to arrive a day late and Eileen and Elvin were very helpful and accommodating. Everyday we looked for Bobby the dog, very sweet but picky on what treats he would eat. The kitchen was very nice, the appliances worked great. The showers are large and had great water pressure. The location is perfect, less than 5 mins away from the Palm Beach area (beautiful beaches and great food). I don't think you will find a house this nice with a truck for anywhere near the price.

This is just a neighborhood and a comfortable place to stay. I always tell people with the money you save you can go to out to eat dinner every night and do fun things in the day. IF you want a place on the beach with all the amenities you have to pay for that, but, then you feel you have to stay there and use the facilities because you spent so much money. It is all in what you want for a vacation. My house is good if you want to use my truck and explore the island. I am just happy my renters love my home and feel comfortable there. It is not a gated community either, just an Aruban neighborhood. My neighbors are wonderful too and we have become friends with them too. 90% of homes are new and 10% old but the people are all great and have become our friends in the 6 years we have been going down. COme and experience an Aruban neighborhood and the Nice people.

If you are looking for the cheapest way to vacation in Aruba this is the house to start with. Unlike a resort, the house let's you taste what it would be like to actually live in Aruba. What we found is that Arubans live with lots of dogs and chickens. We awoke to several rooster calls each morning. Although the dogs appear to be stray we learned they are not. We enjoyed "bobby" but some of the others were less desirable. If you need a nice view you'll be disappointed as there is nothing picturesque in any direction. However, the house is equipped with all you'll need. Curiously, the beds, pillows and table are covered in plastic. But the point of vacationing in Aruba is the gorgeous beaches and exploring the island which you can do perfectly in this house. The location is perfect and close to everything. If you want to find it on google maps it's here: 12.574573,-70.036605 The truck worked well and could handle getting everywhere on the island. Note that the truck has a manual transmission. The Internet connection worked but is shared with the neighbor so it only worked in the back of the house, not as convenient as I'd hoped. Juggling which AC to run is a bit of a hassle but not a big deal. The house does not have fuses despite the notes. There is a breaker box. Elvin the caretaker is a great guy. We realized that it would be worth having a pool and a place outside to hang out at the house so we did not have to jump in the car and go somewhere to relax. Bring a puzzle and some games with you since the house only has a few paperbacks and TV for entertainment. The house provides beach chairs and a cooler so it was easy to go to any beach on the island find a palapa and stay for hours. All beaches and palapas are public and parking is free giving you many options when you stay in a house. We had a great time.

The people are so nice and helpful. Yes, there are a few dog owners, but they are sweet dogs. They like being spoiled by Americans. I do keep plastic on my pillow shams but not on the regular pillows. I do keep plastic on the twin bed under the sheets to keep it clean in case a small child uses it. I do use mattress pads on all of the beds for protection. I do have plastic under the tablecloth on the dining table to protect that too. I like to keep everything clean and protected for my renters. Yes, the internet is shared but there is never a problem logging on. I do keep about a dozen books here, so bringing games is a good idea. Yes, there is no pool, but what you save in rent, you can do lots of other things like boat tours and bus tours. Yes, there are no views from this house. The house just has empty lots next to it and across the street. Hoping for beautiful homes to be built on them soon. Most of the neighborhood does have nice new homes. A few are old. It is in a great location, as this home is close to everything. 5 minutes to beaches and 3 minutes to the Palm Beach Plaza. All in all this is a good description of the home. I do ask that you use 3 air conditioners at a time as electric is 3x as much as in the states. I have those nice long units that are quiet on the wall and the condenser is outside. It is easy to go to the beach with beach chairs and a large cooler. There is a small propane grill too. Everything you need for the beach. The beaches are just the best you will ever see. The truck provides great transportation to tour the entire island which I would recommend to do. The scuba diving and snorkling is great too. Lots of party boats too and dinner cruises which I would recommend too. Lots to do in Aruba and with all the money you save staying at my nice home, you can afford to do many extras on your vacation. A lot of people say staying at this home is like being home. Just an ordianry nice neighborhood instead of a resort ,but a 1/3 of the cost. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for cooking. Granite countertops and a stainless refrigerator. Come and experience an Aruban neighborhood, but with an American nicely furnished home. Thanks for the nice and honest review .

We picked Aruba as a vacation destination that we planned for 2011. I researched VRBO.com since I had used the website in the past. After many searches I narrowed it down 2 choices and guess what I did make a wonderful decision to stay at this beautiful home. The whole process with Eileen was very easy and informative from beginning to end. The home was exactly like the photos on the website with extra amenities that you would not find in hotels. The feeling of being "home away from home" was right on. We were within 5 to 15 minutes of everything, which made it so easy to get to all that we wanted to explore. Our accommodations at this beautiful home was wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in a private home, you will so enjoy all of the space here to relax. Overall our vacation was MAGNIFICENT !!!!! Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy the comforts of your home.
Owner response:Another great stay from my renters. If you want a very nice home and not have to pay a lot for all that you get, then this is the house for you. I am within 5 to 15 minutes of everything. Why pay triple at another home, when mine is just as nice. I have super great furniture and very American furniture. Large bedrooms and king beds. Large dining area with a beautiful table and Hutch. You will feel like you are at home. The furniture is nicer then the condos on the beach. See what all my renters love about my home. Especially the Price.

This property was amazing!!! The VRBO website was recommended to us and we found this wonderful property. This was our 3rd trip to the island and we liked this house so much, we are considering renting it for two weeks next year. It is very close to just about everything you need or want, when you're on vacation. It is only 5 minutes to the most beautiful beaches you've ever seen. The house was exactly as the pictures on the internet. It was neat, very well kept and extremely spacious. We felt very comfortable at this house. There was nothing that we lacked for our weeks vacation. The owners had covered everything from beach towels, cooler, beach chairs, kitchen utensils, laundry needs, etc. etc. I could go on and on. These owners have your best interest in mind. They make it very afforable for the average family. We rented their 4 wheel drive truck, which we HIGHLY recommend. It was in very good shape. From our previous Aruba experience, if you want to see the whole island, you need the height clearance of a truck or jeep. This was the first time we explored every inch of island. We took my Mom (73 yrs) and Dad (78 yrs) and they had the time of their lives. We ate at many good restaurants like the Buccaneer, Iguana Joes, the Hard Rock Cafe, Salt and Pepper, Tony Romas and others. We snorkeled on the Jolly Pirate for two years in a row. My dad had a awesome time snorkeling and my mom enjoyed the rum punch. The Jolly Pirate's crew aims to please and we had a blast each time we sailed with them. We HIGHLY recommend this excursion. You must book it in advance a day or two before you want to go. If you want an affordable, extremely fun and a very nice place to lay your head, then look no further than this property.
Owner response:WOW, What a great review. Yes, everyone tells me how great this home is for the price. Most homes in Aruba charge twice as much for the same type home. Plus my home is in such a great area that is close to everything. I am so close to the Marriott Surf and Ocean CLubs you can see it from the my window. The beaches are close by too. Any excursion you want to do is 5 minutes from the house. Want a day out on a boat for snorkling, it is there for you. Restaurants are 5 minutes away and a hugh variety of them. The New Palm Beach Plaze is 3 minutes from the house. Lots of shops in there and a great Theatre.It is a great place to walk around and enjoy the shows they put on in the Plaza. ALL NEW. All the Arubans aim to please all guests on the Island. That is why they call it ONE HAPPY ISLAND. Plus Aruba is very safe, you can walk all around the downtown and enjoy all the shops and restaurants and casinos. OH, my home is only 5 minutes from 2 casinos too. Downtown also has casinos. You won't be bored on this island. COme and see what all my renters love about my home. Mostly the low cost that I charge for all that you get at this nicely furnished comfortable large home. The beaches are just incredible and the water is always warm. You never need a sweatshirt in Aruba.. No Hurricaines ever in Aruba either. Aruba is below the Hurricaine Belt. COME AND ENJOY. This was our first time in Aruba and we had an excellent experience. On our arrival we simply took a cab to meet Elvin and pick up the truck. He escorted us to the house and answered all of our questions about the house and the area. Very friendly and helpful. Having a vehicle to use was awesome. We were able to see so much of the island and several beaches. We always felt safe wherever we were on the island as well as at the house. The description of the house was very accurate and the house was clean and bright. We had four adults in our group so each couple had a bathroom which was nice and the kitchen had everything we needed. There were also beach chairs and a cooler which we used every time we went to one of the beaches. It really is a great location as well. We were only a few minutes from some great beaches and restaurants. You can see the Marriot from the house so it's close to the high rise hotels. We all hope to be able to vacation again in Aruba and would definitely stay here again. It was a great location and a great price. Having the truck to use was perfect. We would recommend Arashi, Eagle and Baby beach-all are beautiful. We also enjoyed the submarine trip and the food was excellent at Amadeus Bar and Restaurant.
Owner response:Thanks so much for your nice review. I have never tried the Amedeus Restaurant. There is always something new to try when you go to Aruba. The restaurants are just the best. You never get a bad dinner. They are really superior to most places. Yes, the house is in a great area. I am close to everything and the beaches are just down the street. Lots of restaruants and shops within minutes too. I do price my home much lower then most homes ask for theirs in the same neighborhood. Plus mine is decorated so nicely and my rooms are very large, even the bedrooms are very large. King beds. The use of my Mitsubishi Truck is a Super Plus. Everyone loves having the beach chairs and the cooler for the beaches to throw in the back of the truck. You save a lot of money by packing your own lunches, beer and drinks for the beach. Try that Balashi Beer. It is brewed on the island and it is a great Beer. The water of the sea is always warm. YOu have never seen beaches this beautiful. Plus the truck is great to tour the entire island. Another Plus, My neighborhood is getting all new roads. ON the next street from our home is the Best Restaurant in Aruba called the Ana Maria. YOu can walk to it. COme and see what all my vacationers love about my home and Aruba.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Aruba. The house was everything we wanted and expected in a home. Eileen was very helpful before and during the trip. Elvin was wonderful, he picked us up at the airport and met us to go back to the airport. We tried a different restaurant every night except one and I had chose them by reviewing on a great website: Restaurants Aruba - Your Dining Guide. I read most all the reviews for each restaurant on that whole list and then chose the ones we wanted. I then made as many reservations online as we could before the trip. Was a great time saver. Our trip was very relaxing and enjoyable.

This home in Palm Beach, exceeded our expectations, is a pleasant and comfortable home. We are a large family of 9 members and space of the house was completely adequate for our stay. From Venezuela were to receive in 2011 on the beautiful island of Aruba, we had a hard time deciding where to stay, after so many searches, we get this lovely home, dealing with Eileen was extraordinary as well when he said the rental price of house, we liked more, excelenete location, nice decoration and the best: for a minimal additional We rented the truck, as were so many people had to rent another car, but we made it through to Elvin, who is in charge of meet us at the airport and take us home, he is also very nice! do not hesitate to ask about the island's attractions! In this house we felt like we were in our own home, so much so that we always received a nice neighborhood dog named Bobby, is very friendly and always greets you with affection, of course, he also looks a little love and food! ! Aruba seemed charming, excellent beaches, tourist sites like the Park Arikok, there we saw the Energy wind power mills, caves, the remains of the natural bridge and spectacular scenery! When you think vacation, including Aruba for your next destination, oh, and be sure to try the beer Balashi! Excellent!

After searching through the vrbo website I came across this house. I started communicating with Eileen immediately and she was a pleasure to work with and made some special accommadations for us. This is a beautiful house in a great location. I would highly recommend renting the truck too. It was hassle free...we were met at the airport with the truck and drove back to the airport and met once again to drop off the truck. And of course the neighborhood dog was a bonus. My girls fell in love with him and looked forward to "feeding" him every day. I would definitely recommend this property. Great price and great location!!!

All my renters get a kick of him. Yes, I am in a great location and close to everything. 5 minutes to the beach is a plus and all the restaurants and casinos 5 mintues away. My place is worth double the price and many owners in my neighborhood charge double for the rent and my house is nicer then most. Glad you liked it.

I rented this house for my daughter and her boyfriend for a week in August and they had nothing but great things to say about it. They were picked up at the airport by the caretaker, given a short tour of the area as well as a quick run thru of the house. It was clean, comfortable and centrally located. If you are looking for a great deal in Aruba, I would highly recommend Eileen and her home. It worked out great for my daughter!
Owner response:Thanks so much for this review. The father rented my home for his daughter as a Graduation gift from college. As he said this home is in a great area close to everything. It is a great comfort too that I have Elvin to take care of you for the week too. I had an air conditioner in one of the quiet wall units that needed to be filled with freon. Elvin had it done by an air conditioning guy, who is a good friend of his the next day. One thing great about having Elvin is he knows everyone on the island. He is there to meet you at the Mitsubishi dealership where he works after you land and take you to my home. He can give you a quiick tour of the island as to where to get groceries at the supermarket down to the small mini grocery stores. Like everyone says in my reviews, the house is a bargain for all that you get. I don't over charge my renters al all. IN fact I undercharge, but it means repeat business and renters telling their friends what a great deal they got on a house.

We were two couples that wanted Caribbean vacation. We rented this house in June 2010. There is a caretaker that will pick you up at the airport and take you to the house. The house is located a few blocks off of the main highway but the access in and out is easy. The resorts and casinos are nearby if that's your thing. Don't be put off by the dirt roads and ramshackle houses that you pass along the way, this house is very nice and secure with a lockable gate. We always felt safe. The house is clean. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom with shower. The home has a very functional, roomy kitchen, spacious living areas, and all tile floors. There are several air conditioning units that cannot be run all at once but if you follow the instructions they work fine. The best thing about this rental is the 4 wheel drive 4 person Mitsubishi truck that is included. There are beach chairs and floats and coolers available at the house that easily fit in the back when you are going to the beach which we did almost every day. Make sure to buy a couple of cases of the local beer - Balashi - excellent brew! There is also an excellent locally made rum named Palmera that I highly recommend. We also like to go exploring and Aruba is a fantastic place to explore. The 4 wheel drive will get you anywhere on the island. We went to a few places where the only other people we saw had to pay to join an excursion in order to get there! Sweet! Don't forget to get some treats for Bobby the dog. He's a very friendly neighborhood dog that'll greet you when you get back from your daily activities. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby also. Look online for reviews or ask the proprietor for recommendations. The only thing not so great about Aruba is the high price of groceries. But that is more than offset by the money you'll save on the price of this rental. We definitely will be returning and I've already recommended this to friends and family!
