My family had a wonderful time at this vacation rental. The house was really charming, very tastefully decorated and had plenty of room for the entire group (6 adults and 1 child). My daughter especially loved the tire swing and the art/ play room and keeps asking when we can go back....hopefully soon! The views of Killington was spectacular, you can very clearly see the peak on a clear day and the whole property gave the feelign that you were in your own private world. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away for some nice relaxing family time.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

One month Ago I made a trip up to Killington, Vermont for a 3-day Cycling Stage Race. One key pre-race preparation is to stay as nonchalant as possible and try to stay rested and relaxed. My results were excellent winning two out of the 3 stages in the Cat 2 race and placing 2nd overall. To avoid pre-race chaos and a pricy hotel filled with distractions, my buddy and I decided to stay in a Classic Vermont Farmhouse conveniently located a few miles from the Killington Ski lodge area and the start of the Killington Stage Races. I enjoyed a pleasant night sleep and fresh mountain air in a comfortable and spacious home. We ended up staying 3 nights in the mountain rental home and it was so nice that I almost did not want to leave!! For any interested in a enjoyable get-away to the beautiful mountain valley area in Killinngton, Vermont, make sure you book your next stay at: http://www.vrbo.com/254482Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I've stayed in this wonderful home several times now, most recently in the summer months of 2010 and can attest to it being everything and more as described by the owner. The house sleeps 10 comfortably and has many recent renovations including a "green" bathroom in a new addition off the kitchen. There are two wood-burning stoves and a fireplace, a new deck with a state-of-the-art Vermont Castings barbecue grill. There is also a lower-level patio and game room with a ping=pong table. It is a five minute drive to the ski areas in Killington (I'm not a skier but love it here still)! There is a lovely old barn on the property that completes the picture. The home and grounds (±500 acres) are lovingly and meticulously cared for. This property is an ideal seasonal rental for a group of couples, with or without children, who love to ski but who want to get away from the hotel scene. It's also a wonderful summer retreat.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Quite a spectacular place, a real find. This is an authentic farmhouse, with beautifully maintained hardwood floors, kitchen hearth and working fireplaces. Cozy couch, ping pong table. Most incredibly, the view from every window was either a forest or the beautiful sheep barn on the property. The kitchen has a large window looking over the entire Killington range. 1st floor bedroom had a comfy orthopedic queen size bed, dresser and full size closet. And all the comforts of home - dishwasher, coffeemaker, quality appliances, large bathroom. The house itself sits on an extraordinarily scenic property, atop its own mountain (4WD and sleds are a must). Extremely private, yet 10 minutes away from restaurants, slopes & rentals. I'd recommend highly.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We were pleasantly surprised by the spectacular views of the Killington Mountains Peaks and the ski slopes seen from the house. We were a group of friends and the house fit our budget and our purpose perfectly. It's much more spacious than it looks in the ad pictures. The oversized kitchen table is perfect for a large group to enjoy a meal together. We had so much fun sledding the hills around the house. We enjoyed the 2 wood stoves, and the big fireplace downstairs. There was no TV, but we brought a projector that we hooked up to a laptop for hours of karaoke fun :)Did you find this review helpful? I have had the pleasure of enjoying sledding on the hill out back, building a jump, and mining for special rocks at the bottom of the hill. The beds are new and SO comfortable, the wood burning stove (affectionately called the "all nighter") keeps the crew warm while preparing a meal to enjoy around the great table. There's ping pong and games, and many places to relax and unwind. In short, this house is pure magic, regardless of the season!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This house is so charming. The views are spectacular. We awoke to a winter wonderland, quiet and peaceful. Went snowboarding all day at Killington, love the views of the mountain, sledding is awesome right in front of the house. We stayed with 4 kids and 5 adults, very comfortable! Woodstock is very close to eat and shop : )Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

A wonderful Vermont house! Beautiful mountain views from the kitchen windows. 5 minutes from the Appalachian trail. Swimming in the summer, hiking in the fall. Cozy bedrooms, play areas for kids. Big kitchen with a wood stove. The house is much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. It feels great and we love it!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Great house with many cute bedrooms and a kids playroom. Dinner by the wood stove while you watch the mountains in the distance was definitely a highlight. Awesome location with great hiking and skiing close by.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Stunning, private location (with view of Killington past a ridge). Recent addition, renovation, and beautifully appointed rooms; every room is a delight. This is a really aesthetically pleasing house that is eminently practical for summer and winter use. Highly recommend this place; it's a gem!Did you find this review helpful? We have rented the farmhouse for the first time in 2007. There is something special about this place -- the setting on the mountain facing Killington, the view and that gorgeous giant kitchen table where we spent so many great nights by the wood stove with a glass of wine or two after long days skiing. Perfect for two families to share. We came back in 2008, then in 2009. We are booked already for 2010. Need I say more?Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This house is one of the coziest, prettiest get-away houses I have ever stayed in. The surrounding land and the views to the mountains are stunning. The house is wonderfully laid out and the decor is colorful, cheery, and inviting. It is a great house for hanging out with friends around the large dining table as well as enjoying private time with a book in one of the many sitting areas. It's also a great place for kids, who love the play area in the basement, the easy access to safe outdoor play, and the tire swing hanging from a tall tree. My husband, daughter and I have stayed in the house in both winter and summer/early fall, and have loved it in all seasons. We have always split the time there with another family with young kids, and have very fond memories of our time in the house. My daughter spent one warm-weather visit almost entirely outside hanging out with the little frogs who live 50 feet from the house. Oh, and the kitchen is really easy to cook in, which is a big plus. Well worth the money!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
