Year Purchased: 2004
We are Consuelo and Fred. Consuelo is native Chilean who loves to travel, gardening, languages and literature, cooking. She likes to spend time with friends and family in her place. Fred is a Emeritus professor from OSU. He loves to live in Chile, because he enjoys the Chilean Folk music and Cuisine. Also, he is a expert in Chilean wines and Pisco Sour (Typical Chilean Cocktail). Both enjoy their home a lot. He goes biking everyday and she has fun with their puppies.
Why the Owner Chose Vina Del Mar
We decided to buy the property because the neighborhood is widely distributed by family houses. Close by are meadows where horses, cows, and goats graze, and with many trails for hiking, bike, riding or horse riding. The main road is one-half mile away so that the only roar is from the Ocean. The house is on a one acre fully landscaped lot, with a swimming pool surrounded by green grass. There are also orange, lemon, peach and avocado trees among the eucalyptus. To the west is a broad view of the ocean, and to the east the coastal mountains. Also, we have our puppies (Golden Retrievers and Yellow Labs) who enjoy the freedom and the space.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The house is in the country side of the Region of Valparaiso. You can access easily from here to any other destination such as Vina del Mar or Valparaiso to enjoy the cultural patrimony and also, can go into the other direction to the luxuries and nice beaches such as Zapallar and Papudo. You have direct access through the international road Nº 5 to Santiago and Santiago International Airport. Also the property is located minutes from Concon, city recognized by their cuisine. Because of the location of the property, you will have the opportunity to enjoy both, the Cordillera and the Ocean, and the house is located close by many beaches where you can enjoy the sand, and do some kayaking and horseback riding.
